Winner Of The 2010 Glenn Beck Misinformer Of The Year Award

In selecting the 2010 winner of the Glenn Beck Honorary Award for Excellence in Misinformation, Media Matters weighed the vigor and meticulous detail the 2009 recipient, Glenn Beck, brought to the craft.

From spreading lies about 'death panels' to cropping Obama's comments about 'American exceptionalism,' from her comfortable perch at Fox News to her self-promoting books and reality show, Palin has truly broken new ground in misinformation. - Media Matters for America

Senate Approves Nuclear Arms Treaty

And the hits just keep on coming!

Today "New START", or New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, was passed by a 71-26 vote in the Senate. The vote was a blow to Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl, who had tried mightily to persuade his colleagues to defeat the treaty because it would be considered a victory for President Obama.

Additionally Kyl complained that the treaty had been jammed through the Senate despite the fact that this nuclear disarmament agreement with Russia signed by President Obama and President Dmitry Medvedev in April and has been readily available since then.

Basically the treaty requires Russia and the United States to reduce their nuclear warheads by half, cut the number of intercontinental ballistic missiles and missile launchers, and submit to on-site inspections by the other country's weapons experts.

One would think these were good things unless you were a cynical political party playing politics with our counties safety. Essentially the republicans would, without hesitation, put our nation in harms way if it meant denying President Obama just one political victory.

Republicans are without shame.

Republicans Shamed in to Passing 9/11 First Responders Bill

Republican Senators finally caved under the public pressure and media scrutiny to unanimously pass a bill to give continuing health benefits and compensation to first responders who got sick after the 9/11 terror attacks.

It took a public shaming for the party of "Bullhorn moments", "freedom fries" and "flag lapel pins" to do the humane and human thing.

Republicans are cowardly self serving bullies and when push came to shove Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) and his disease of a party crumbled just like bullies always do. Shame on the Grand (?) Old Party!

Don't Ask Don't Tell Signed By Obama

This morning President Obama signed the repeal of D.A.D.T. and in doing so has lifted the ban on gays serving openly in the U.S. military.

Obama who has said he benefited from the civil rights movement described the repeal of DADT as "a moment more than two centuries in the making. Obama went on to say "When fully implemented in a matter of months the action will make the nation's armed forces stronger.

Here is the signing ceremony...

New Study Says Fox News Viewers Are The Most Misinformed

A new study concludes by the University of Maryland says that Fox News viewers are much more likely than others to believe false information about American politics. The Study judged how likely consumers of various news outlets and publications were to believe misinformation about a wide range of political issues.consumers of just about every news outlet believed some information that was false, the study found that Fox News viewers, regardless of political information, were "significantly more likely" to believe that:

--Most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely)

--Most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points)

--The economy is getting worse (26 points)

--Most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points)

--The stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points)

--Their own income taxes have gone up (14 points)

--The auto bailout only occurred under Obama (13 points)

--When TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it (12 points)

--And that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States (31 points)

In addition, the study said, increased viewership of Fox News led to increased belief in these false stories.

Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Passes Senate

By a vote of 65-31 the Senate has repealed the 17-year policy of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell".

Of the 31 who voted against repeal all of them were of course Republicans.

The Republican senators who voted against the repeal said their opposition was not related to homophobia. Instead they chose to go with the canard that the military couldn't adjust to a more open policy.

Only Six Republicans initially crossed the aisle to vote against the policy: Collins (R-Maine) Murkowski (R-Alaska), Kirk (R-Ill.), Brown (R-Mass.), Snowe (R-Maine) and Voinovich (R-Ohio). Ensign (R-Nev.) and Burr (R-N.C.).

President of the Human Rights Campaign, Joe Solmonese, said of the vote that "The important thing today is that 63 senators were on the right side of history".

President Barack Obama said of the policy's repeal: "By ending 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell,' no longer will our nation be denied the service of thousands of patriotic Americans forced to leave the military, despite years of exemplary performance, because they happen to be gay... "And no longer will many thousands more be asked to live a lie in order to serve the country they love."

John McCain when asked about the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" said 'Today Is A Very Sad Day'. Tonight John McCain will cry himself to sleep as the world as he knows it passes him by.

Lie of the Year...

Rush Limbaugh Calls Pelosi And Reid 'Terrorists'

Rush Limbaugh, on his Wednesday show, slobbered and gurgled away that Nancy Pelosi And Harry Reid "Are Terrorists".

Limbaugh began by comparing the two Democratic congressional leaders to Al Capone and other mob bosses. He then wondered aloud, "how do you stop people like that?"

Here are his exact words...

"It could well be, ladies and gentlemen, that we're fighting the wrong enemy in the Middle East. Maybe the real terrorists that we face are on Capitol Hill. I mean, really, who's doing as good a job to undermine what this country stands for as the terrorists? 'Dingy' Harry, Nancy Pelosi... They are terrorists. They certainly seem suicidal. Look at what they're doing. Look at what they did. They knew they were going to get shellacked in this election and they did it! They knew they were gonna lose. And they want to take us with them."

Here is the audio...

All this hyperbolic rhetoric has me so mad and riled up that I just might.... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Uh, I must have dozed off. Really Rush is that the best you got? Are you back on the Oxy?

Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Passes Congress

Today repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" passed in the House Of Representatives by a vote of 250-175. This is the 2nd time this year the Congress has passed this bill. Last May the House passed the the repeal of DADT by a vote of 234-194 but the measure stalled in the Senate. Republicans, led by Sen. John McCain, argue that it would be a mistake for the military to undergo a major cultural change while the nation is fighting two wars despite several studies that prove the polar opposite. 77% of Americans polled think "Don't Ask Don't Tell" should be repealed.

GOP Blocks 9/11 First Responders Bill In The Senate

Republicans Are A Disease.

The bill known as the 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010, named after the first responders who became ill as a direct result from their rescue efforts on the morning of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, was defeated in the Senate.

The bill was voted against by EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN SENATOR.

The action was part of the GOP's obstructionist strategy of not allowing any senate action to proceed until the chamber votes on a bill that will continue to Bush era tax cuts for the very wealthy.

The fact that the 9/-11-related legislation was defeated was stunning. The fact that it was defeated so Republican could extend tax cuts to America's millionaires and billionaires is nauseating.

Again... Republicans Are A Disease.

Christine O’Donnell Proves She Is Not A Witch... Just A Bitch

Yesterday, at a launch event for her “Christine PAC” in Virginia, Christine O’Donnell compared extending unemployment benefits with both the ‘Tragedy’ of Pearl Harbor and the death of Elizabeth Edwards.

Here were her exact words...

“Today marks a lot of tragedy… Tragedy comes in threes,” O’Donnell said. “Pearl Harbor, Elizabeth Edwards’s passing and Barack Obama’s announcement of extending the tax cuts, which is good, but also extending the unemployment benefits.”

Definitive proof that she is a true Republican at heart... As if she had one.

Obama Pulls Some Jedi Mind Tricks On His Critics!

Democrats Cave To The GOP On Tax Cuts...

That, for all intense purposes, is the case at hand. When the dust settled though President Obama had some political Jujitsu up his sleeve for both the griping progressives and the gloating Republicans.

At his press conference today President Obama hammered away at the Republicans for "holding hostage" the middle class tax cuts and the unemployment benefits unless they got their tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% of Americans. Obama continued to counter punched by saying that he "would not play political games" when it came to the livelihood of the people who are truly hurting because of the all too slowly recovering economy. This only served to hammer home the pettiness of the republicans thus turning the tables on what they are referring to as their "Victory".

I know how upset Obama's base is at him right now and even thought I vehemently opposed to the Republicans tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% I have to admit I can't stay mad at him... Too cool are his Jedi mind tricks!

Republicans Vote For A Middle Class Tax Hike

Today the congress voted, albeit symbolically, on a measure which would maintain the current tax rates for 98 percent of American families earning under $250,000, while letting the rates for the richest two% of Americans return to their pre-Bush-era rates.

This forced 168 Republicans to officially go on the record and voting no on maintaining tax cuts for the middle and lower income Americans for the sole reason that the wealthiest in our society would have their tax rates return to what it was under President Clinton. This proves where the GOP's priorities and allegiances truly reside.

Soon to be speaker of the House John Boehner summed up his parties feelings about the vote quite eloquently by saying "It's chicken crap!" and "nonsense".

Isn't it nice to know what he thinks about taking care of the 98% of Americans and having to finally admit that his party is a shill for the wealthy.

Tom DeLay Guilty In Money Laundering Trial

Happy Thanksgiving Hammer!

Wednesday in Austin, Texas the former speaker of the house faces up to 99 years in prison after being convicted on two felonies. Jurors deliberated for 19 hours before returning guilty verdicts on charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering in a scheme to illegally funnel corporate money to Texas candidates in 2002,

DeLay remains free on bond and has stated that he plans to appeal the verdict.

It couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

Republicans Shoot Down Unemployment Extension In House

On Thursday Republicans in the Congress voted down a measure that would have reauthorized extended unemployment insurance for another three months. This essentially means that the benefits would lapse as of Nov. 30.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING... and good luck with Christmas America!

Without a reauthorization, the Labor Department estimates that two million long-term unemployed will prematurely stop receiving benefits before the end of the year.

It is mind blowing that Republicans keep whining about the tax cuts for the richest 2% but won't join in a bill to help the jobless Americans provide for their families through this holiday season.
The bill was brought to the floor under a "suspension of the rules," meaning it required approval from two-thirds of the House. It failed 258 to 154, with mostly Democratic support.

Even if it had passed the House, it's unclear how it would get through the Senate, where Democrats will need at least three Republicans to switch sides and not a single Republican has signaled a willingness to support unemployment reauthorization.

It's likely there will be another effort by Democrats in Congress to reauthorize the benefits before the Christmas break.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said "I don't think we should be going home over the holidays when people are losing their unemployment benefits, and especially when the struggle seems to be how you can give more money to rich people. I do not think that we want to leave here having fought for tax cuts for millionaires and against... unemployment insurance for those who lost their jobs."

Democrats may attempt to attach a reauthorization of the extended benefits to a broader bill, such as a measure reauthorizing some of the Bush-era tax cuts set to expire at the end of the year.

Quite literally no economist in the country When discussing how to get our economy moving again will tell you that ensuring [that] those who lost their jobs have the ability to pay their rent, support their families, isn't in and of itself a great boost to the economy.

This type of behavior by the GOP is nothing new. If you'll remember over the summer, as Senate Republicans filibustered a reauthorization for 50 days, 2.5 million people stopped receiving checks for several weeks.

Republicans have once again shown their true colors and to whom their allegiances belong to. By turning a blind eye to the hardship and suffering dealt to families and the economy that will result from the November 30th cut-off they have made it perfectly clear which master they serve and it is most definitely not with Americans hurt by this devastating recession.

I'll leave it to you to figure out whose lap dogs they are.

Freshman Congressman Harris Snagged In Health Care Hypocricy

Here is a microcosm of what is wrong with the tea party and those who claim to be tea party Americans. They are unabashed hypocrites.

Case in point. Andy Harris the Incoming Representative of Maryland ran on a message of "repeal and replace" of the Health Care Reform Act passed by the Democrats last year. Here is a clip of old Andy railing against it... (Forward to 2:20)

Fair enough... Unless he were to reveal his true colors.

Here is the scenario. Mr. Harris and all the other new congressmen and women were at a freshmen orientation session when they were told that their health care benefits wouldn't go into effect until nearly a month after his swearing in.

A congressional staffer present at the freshman orientation session told Politico that upon hearing this Harris "stood up and asked the two ladies who were answering questions why it had to take so long, what he would do without 28 days of health care,"

Politico relays the kicker...

"Harris then asked if he could purchase insurance from the government to cover the gap," added the aide, who was struck by the similarity to Harris's request and the public option he denounced as a gateway to socialized medicine.

It's enough to make you sick. Hopefully you have insurance!

Thursday, November 11, 2010

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), the incoming Chairman of The House Oversight & Government Reform Committee, is planning a "witch hunt" against the Obama administration.

Issa told Politico this week "I want seven hearings a week, times 40 weeks...".

So in essence Isa is threatening over 500 hearings in the next Congress. This would be double the number that occurred during the entire Bush presidency.

Isa's most slanderous accusation is that President Obama used unspent stimulus funds as "walking around money". So basically he is alleging that Obama funneled federal money to political allies. Issa has done this all without a shred of proof or an iota of truth.

Dennis Kucinich has called out Isa telling him to produce proof of his accusations or withdraw his statements. Isa has not responded as of this posting.

Does Isa sound like a man without bias? Therein lies the problem if you are the Chairman of The House Oversight & Government Reform Committee... and you have an agenda.

Boy, this is sure to stimulate the economy, provide jobs and shrink the size of government... Problem solved Republicans!

Google Veteran's Day Logo Makes People Unhinged!

To commemorate Veteran's Day Google altered their logo for the occasion.

This in turn unleashed the loony bin to run amok in our internets.

Here is why.

You see Google's design uses the staff of a waving American flag as the "L" in its name, which obstructs the "E" in its name, leaving most of the letter obscured.

As you can plainly see the "E" has been magically transformed into the Islamic Caliphate Crescent Moon. Those sneaky sneaky bastards!!!!!

People's reactions have been inflamed to say the least with claims ranging from the accusation that Google did it on purpose all the way to just good old fashion anti-Islamic sentiments.

Get a hold of yourself people you have taken the bullet train to crazy town on this one.

Tsunami....

Well the midterms are over and many are calling it the Tea Party tsunami. It is indeed time for them to celebrate and to them I say, enjoy it while you can.

Deep down I suspect just like Bush's 2nd term the Tea Party candidates will find themselves in an equally unpleasant and untenable situation at the end of the day. One of those "you should be careful what you wish for" scenarios.

All moderate and Blue Dog Democrats have been swept out of power by the Tea Party tsunami and all that is really left are the hardcore progressives. I suspect the Dems that remain won't be too willing to tow the line of the newly appointed hyper partisan zealots in the Tea Party. Y'know, repealing Health Care reforms, keeping the tax cuts for the richest 2% of Americans, privatizing Social Security, repealing the 10th and 14th Amendments and so on.

It is going to be a lot of fun to sit back and watch the fireworks because deep down I think we all know how this is going to end. Just think back 2 years ago and how George W. Bush left office. If I'm not mistaken he was swept out of power along with his fellow Republicans in what they refered to at the time as a Democratic tsunami.

Here We Go Again... Democrat Roughed Up And Arrested At Eric Cantor Public Event

Jon Taylor, a Democrat, was arrested by local police at a public meet-and-greet event for Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) on Monday, with three men pulling him out of the building, slamming him on a car and eventually pushing him to the ground and cuffing him.

Taylor said he and three other Democrats including his wife went to the event with the intent to ask Cantor questions since he has refused to debate Waugh.

When Ray Minter, the owner of the coffee house, asked the Taylors to leave, they refused, and local authorities intervened. Minter said they were being disorderly, but the group of Democrats said they were simply drinking coffee and waiting for Cantor to arrive.

A Cantor spokesman went on to blame the Waugh campaign saying "This is a pattern with Rick Waugh of disruptive and frankly thuggish behavior," (Ummm, What?).

Once again, here is the video...

First the 100 pound girl and now and elderly man. Righties, Tea Partiers and Republicans really have their pulse on those in our society that they need protection from!?!?! What happened to the right to free speech... Anyone...?

Rand Paul Supporter Stomps Female Protester

A group of Paul supporters pulled female MoveOn member Lauren Valle to the ground and held her there as Paul supporter, Tim Profitt, stomped on the back of her head and neck.

The Misogynist woman beater, Tim Profitt, was Rand Paul's Bourbon County campaign coordinator.

Profitt has since claimed that the only reason he "restrained" the woman in such a manner was due to his bad back.

The Rand Paul campaign has cut ties with Profitt, removing him as Bourbon County campaign coordinator and banning him from campaign events.

Now I could easily drone on about how this incident is a microcosm of the Tea Party or how this was caused by the extreme right media whipping the ill-informed into a frenzy but I wont. Instead all I am going to do is ask for you to draw a parallel incident in your mind. Imagine for an instant if the rolls were reversed. What if a thug from MoveOn decided to stomp on the head of a little old Tea Party lady. Just imagine what the outcry might look like.....

To aptly finish this story off in fitting fashion, the stomper, Tim Profitt, has requested that Lauren Valle, the stomped, should apologise to him... No I'm not kidding and here is the video to prove it...

Anyone else notice how the brave Tim Profitt refuses to show his face? Quite telling. I'm glad it was added in after the fact.

Ken Buck Is A Moronic Bigoted Jackass

Last Sunday on "Meet the Press" Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Buck was asked by host David Gregory whether he believed that that being gay was a "lifestyle" choice.

Buck responded saying that he believed that "it was" in the same way that "choosing your partner" is a choice.

Gregory then asked if maybe it might not be "something determined at birth".

Buck then said "I think that birth has an influence over it, like with alcoholism and some other things, but I think that basically you have a choice,". Buck was quick to add, however, that he's no "biologist."

Here is the video...

When I picked my jaw off the ground I began to try to make sense of what Buck meant by his insane statement. Did he believe that if mothers drink to much while pregnant that the risk of their child being born gay? Did he mean that some people are born with a predisposition to being a drunk, a drug addict, a criminal, or..... gay? If that is the case wouldn't that mean the "condition" was and is genetic therefore causing a break in his own logic?

I am at a loss. However I am quite certain that Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Buck is a moronic bigoted jackass.

The Tea Party Trifecta... Racism, Homophobia and Xenophobia!

A billboard in Grand Junction, Colorado uses caricatures to depict President Barack Obama as an Islamist suicide bomber, a homosexual, a gangster, and a Mexican bandit all sitting around a table with a bunch of greedy rats labeled as trial lawyers, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The billboard was created by "artist" Paul Snover who is an admitted Tea Party enthusiast. Snover refuses to divulge the identity of the person or people who paid for the ad.

It has since been taken down.

What else can be said except that I never cease to be surprised at how embarrassingly low people are willing to go?

Carl Paladino Is An Angry, Bigoted, Racist, Homophobe... Who Enjoys Bestiality Videos

Carl Paladino is an angry bigoted racist. He has said and done things that are absolutely mind boggling for someone running for public office. This is what happens when people vote without thinking. This is what happens when low information tea party voters are ginned up by right wing media... They vote for people like Palidino.

Here are a few gems from ol' Carl...

Paladino thinks homosexuality are "disgusting" and believes they are trying to "brainwash" children "into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid or successful option [compared with heterosexuality]. ... it isn't."

Here is the video:

While on NBC's "Today" show Paladino asked Matt Lauer if he'd ever attended a gay pride parade, explaining to Lauer, that men who participate "wear these little Speedos and they grind against each other and it's just a terrible thing."

Here is the video:

After these incidents came to light s few other revelations about Palidino's past and present reared their ugly heads as well.

As it turns out Paladino cashed in on Buffalo gay clubs "Buddies II" and "Cobalt". You see both clubs were located in buildings he owned and as it turns out his son William managed one of them (Clobalt). I guess as a lifestyle homosexuality is an abomination but their money is just as green as the next abomination.

Another interesting development is that as a result of Paladino's berating and trash talking about homosexuals his own nephew, who works on Paladino's campaign and who is openly gay, has since resigned his position.

It doesn't end their folks.... Here are a few other nasty facts about the bastion of morality that is Carl Palidino:

• Paladino sent out an email including a bestiality video of horse and a woman

• Paladino sent an email including racist images of an Africa tribesmen dancing entitled “Obama Inauguration Rehearsal" and an email showing chimpanzees doing an Irish dance entitled “proof the Irish discovered Africa”

• Paladino had an adulterous affair with an ex-staffer of his development company

• Paladino had an out of wedlock child with this mistress

Take a look at some of the other Tea Party favorites that have been elected in the primaries and I think you'll agree that they have gotten the candidates they deserve. One's that are just like they are... Angry bigoted racists homophobes.

Don't Ask, Don't Tell... Don't Enforce!

As of Yesterday the military must immediately stop enforcing "don't ask, don't tell". U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips' has granted an injunction forcing the us government to end it's discriminatory policy against openly gay men or women serving in the military.

Phillips' ruling also ordered the government to suspend and discontinue all pending discharge proceedings and investigations

The Justice Department attorneys have 60 days to appeal the ruling but all it appears that they have no interest in doing so.

Gay rights groups hailed Phillips' move, crediting her with what the Obama administration and all of Washington were too cowardly to do.

Right wingers seem to have gone all queer about the ruling. Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women for America claimed that Judge Phillips imposed"... her ill-informed and biased opinion on our military, endangering morale, health and security of our military at a time of war,"

Stay tuned I am sure more homophobic rhetoric will be forthcoming in the next few days courtesy of any and every intolerant bigot that is afforded an outlet in which to unleash their ignorant screed.

This will hopefully fast track an end to shameful chapter in our country's history...Now on to marriage!

Republican candidate To Represent Ohio’s Ninth Congressional District Is A Nazi Enthusiast!

Iott is second from right in the uniform of a Waffen SS officer.

Rich Iott is the Republican candidate to represent Ohio’s Ninth Congressional District. Iott has an unusual hobby. He likes to dress up in the uniform of the Waffen SS. You see, Iott is a member of a group calling itself the Wikings and has been since as far back as 2003. This "group" was created to honor those who fought in World War II in the 5th SS Panzer Division. The division comprised volunteers to the Nazi cause drawn from outside Germany. Iott has since defended himseld as just a "history buff".

Here, by the way, is the Wikings fabulous logo...
As if it needed to be said Iott is of course the Tea Party favorite! Iott believes the photo's publication shouldn't affect voters because in his words... "They have to take it in context,".

Mice With Human Brains!

Scientists Have Created Mice With Human Brains!

You heard it here first... Well not really. Actually Bill O'Reilly's audience heard it first on his show in 2007 care of now Delaware Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell as she sounded the alarm against cloning and stem-cell research.

What O'Donnell went on to describe was a horror so indescribable it boggles the mind. The terror of human-mouse hybrids... Here are he exact words...

"They are -- they are doing that here in the United States. American scientific companies are cross-breeding humans and animals and coming up with mice with fully functioning human brains. So they're already into this experiment."

Some believe that O'Donnell is referring to a 2005 report that reported on scientists who successfully grew human brain cells within mice -- which is not the same as an actual functioning human brain in a mouse... Not even close.

The terrifying postscript to this story is it is quite possible that this woman might be the next Senator of Delaware. You can't make this shit up!

Hey Everyone! It's International Burn a Quran Day!

Book burning. Do you know who has always loved a good book burning... Christians. They love to burn anything and everything. Wether it be books, Beatles records or witches, if they can light it up they are happy as born again clams! To prove my point let me introduce you to pastor Terry Jones...

Pastor Terry Jones of Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville Fla. plans to hold a public burning of Qurans on this 9th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Jones and his flock of almost 50 whackos are looking forward to getting a little payback against Islam and they don't care who gets hurt in the process... Even if it's our own troops overseas.

Here's what I'm talking about...

The very mention of Pastor Jones' International Burn a Quran Day has already set off angry protests from Afghanistan to Indonesia and even elicited a formal response from the U.S. Embassy condemning the plan. Gen. David Petraeus, the commander of American forces fighting in that country, has condemned the stunt as well. Petraeus says: "It could endanger troops and it could endanger the overall effort," Continuing he told The Wall Street Journal, "It is precisely the kind of action the Taliban uses and could cause significant problems. Not just here, but everywhere in the world we are engaged with the Islamic community."

While Gen. Petraeus' fears that "Burn a Quran" day will lead to violence against U.S. forces in Afghanistan and around the world, police in Gainesville are also preparing for possible violence in Florida as a result of the church's protest.

The pastor told MSNBC's Chris Matthews that his church has declared Sept. 11 as "International Burn a Quran Day," and added that he hoped the burning of the Muslim religion's holy text "will be as it is intended, as a warning."

Yes pastor, the warning should be to our troops that your racist idiotic stunt just might cost them their lives. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war... Oh that's right, you don't have to go to war. It just the poor men and women in the middle east that have to deal with the consequences of your moronic religious bigotry.

Ground Zero Mosque: Intolerance And Ignorance

Originally I had intended to stay out of this wedge issue manufactured by the Republicans but the bigoted uneducated right wing intolerance has pissed me off to such a degree that I feel compelled to comment.

Here is some background because I believe it is relevant...

I was living in New York on 8th street just 2 miles from ground zero when 9/11 occured. I watched the towers fall. I saw the people who worked downtown amble home like the walking dead after the attacks. I smelled the death hanging in the air for months after the towers crashed and burned taking almost 3000 of my fellow New Yorkers with them.

These experiences lead me to form three opinions about this "controversy"...

1) If you are not from the state of New York, quite simply, shut the fuck up! You have no right to voice your opinion. You are not qualified to comment.
2) If you're a New Yorker and you can't handle a mosque in the same neighborhood as ground zero may I suggest you grow a pair. If this mosque is just too much for you to bear you don't deserve to live here! This is New York and we don't care for spineless, weak willed, brain dead bigots.

3) If you are from New York and cannot stomach a mosque and your reasoning is that this is the Muslims way of poking us in the eye to spite us you are obviously at the very least misguided and at the worst a racist. If you truly believe that this Muslim cultural center is an insidious plan devised by the Muslim community then all I can say to you is... deal with it. There are churches and synagogues in Iraq and Afghanistan for our troops to worship at, and we bombed the hell out of those countries.

This is America and we should be made of stronger stuff than this. Our country was founded on, among other things, our first amendment rights to freedom of religion. You need to come to peace with that concept and stop acting like a bunch of reactionary whiny little bitches!

Surely you must understand that our intolerance over the mosque is viewed as a victory by the terrorists. They can now sit back and point at America and say "See, I told you they hate us and therefore our hate for them is now justified.

I'll leave you with this...

Thomas Jefferson said in 1807 "among the inestimable of our blessings, also, is that ...of liberty to worship our Creator in the way we think most agreeable to His will; ...

Oh Noes! Obama's Infected With The Muslim!

Evangelical leader Rev. Franklin Graham has blown the lid off Obama's dreaded disease. You see Obama's Dad had the Muslim "seed" in him and through birth passed it to Barack. He was doomed from birth.

Here is what Rev. Graham told CNN's John King in a televised interview that aired Thursday night...

"He was born a Muslim. His father was a Muslim; the seed of Islam is passed through the father...

It sure sounds painful. Kinda' like passing a kidney stone!

Graham went on to say...

"He was born a Muslim; his father gave him an Islamic name,”

Yeah... Wasn't he nicknamed Barry?

If you were wondering what Graham's views on Islam are, this was his official stance recorded when he he referred to Islam as "a very evil and wicked religion." Graham went on in 2003 to say "True Islam cannot be practiced in this country," and that "You can't beat your wife. You cannot murder your children if you think they've committed adultery or something like that, which they do practice in these other countries.

One In Four Americans Are Morons

1 in 4 people in America are too stupid to be involved in any area of our society of any social or political importance. Why do I say this? How did I arrive at this conclusion?

It's simple.

After reading a Time magazine's poll in which they asked Americans, in a multiple choice question, what religion President Obama was. 24% of the participants believed the President was... Muslim!

To you 24% who believe President Obama is a Muslim I say to you, you are an embarrassment to the rest of us Americans.

I also have no doubt that the majority of this 24% were also the most outraged at then candidate Obama over the Reverend Wright controversy. You remember that don't you? That's when Barack Obama's "CHRISTIAN" preacher of the "CHRISTIAN "church that Obama attended was deemed to be anti American due to his fiery his sermons and unorthodox beliefs.

I repeat that you 24% of Americas who believe President Obama is a Muslim are an embarrassment and should never take part in any important area of our society. May I suggest instead that you undertake a hobby such as playing in heavy traffic and help society cull the heard! The gene pool will thank you.

TERROR BABIES!!!!!

I Am So Scared! First there were anchor babies, but now this...

Texas Republican state legislator Rep. Debbie Riddle has shed light an insidious plan that threatens The United Srates known as "terror babies"! Riddle claimed on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 show that, as we speak, terrorist organizations are sending pregnant women to the United States to have their children, who would be US citizens but trained and raised abroad to be terrorists and could enter and leave the US without raising suspicion.

Riddle based her claims on her conversations with "former FBI officials".

When asked "What former FBI officials?" and "What evidence is there of some sort of long-term plot to have American babies born here and then become terrorists? Riddle's response was "Well, at this point, I don't have the hard evidence right here in front of me," Riddle responded. She would not reveal her ex-FBI sources or the basis for their claims, and then tried to change the subject to porous borders and the threat of dirty bombs.

Here is the terrifying terroristic video excerpt that will fill you with terrifically terrifying terror...

These insidious infants will indeed be crawling weapons of diapered destruction carrying destructive dirty bombs in their terror filled nappies!
