Romney Now Takes Credit For The Success Of The Auto Industry's Turnaround

Those are Mitt Romney's exact words. No mention of a managed bankruptcy, no mention of loans, no mention of the dreaded bailout. No, it was his now-infamous New York Times op-ed, which appeared in 2008 under the headline named simply "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt."

Fast forward to present day where the American auto industry is booming and Romney has apparently rewritten history by saying that President Obama actually took his advice about how to save Detroit. In addition Romney now says that when all is said and done he deserves the lion's share of the credit.

Here are his exact words...

"I pushed the idea of a managed bankruptcy, and finally, when that was done, and help was given, the companies got back on their feet. So I'll take a lot of credit for the fact that this industry's come back."

Are you fucking kidding me!

Managed bankruptcy my ass. When he says "help was given" what he is really referring to is THE BAILOUT!

You see both General Motors and Chrysler ended up taking massive federal loans supported by both President Obama and former President Bush. While the bailout included managed bankruptcy the truth of the matter is, according to the federal judge who presided over Chrysler's bankruptcy in 2009, neither company would have survived without the bailout.

If anyone has any doubt that what Romney is saying isn't one of the biggest flip flop, lies, untruths, bullshit, garbage, horse shit things Romney has ever uttered watch this...
