Republicans Vote Against Fair Pay For Women

A bill that would help close the vast pay gap between men and women…. what could be more American that that. In this country where women are still making 77 cents to every dollar that a man earns what twisted black souled grinch could possibly be against fair pay for women.

Quicker that you can say "We don't have a war against women" the Republicans sure enough voted against The Paycheck Fairness Act in the Senate on Tuesday. The vote was 52-47, falling short of the 60-vote threshold needed to break a filibuster.

Not one Republican voted for it!

This leaves me to pose to you a few questions about the grand old party….
  • Are the Republicans just so ridiculously politically tone deaf that they thought they could get away with voting against this bill given their lack of support with American women.
  • Is it that they hate Barack Obama so much thy would vote against anything that he endorses?
  • Maybe it's just a vile political strategy of blocking anything on the presidents to do list so they can whine and rage that "Obama has no political achievements".
  • Could it be that they really just hate women?
Whatever the reason is the GOP have proven themselves again to be a twisted hateful bunch of scheming vermin. I hope women will remember this come election day.

What did I expect from the party that opposed the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act!
