Quicker that you can say "We don't have a war against women" the Republicans sure enough voted against The Paycheck Fairness Act in the Senate on Tuesday. The vote was 52-47, falling short of the 60-vote threshold needed to break a filibuster.
Not one Republican voted for it!
This leaves me to pose to you a few questions about the grand old party….
- Are the Republicans just so ridiculously politically tone deaf that they thought they could get away with voting against this bill given their lack of support with American women.
- Is it that they hate Barack Obama so much thy would vote against anything that he endorses?
- Maybe it's just a vile political strategy of blocking anything on the presidents to do list so they can whine and rage that "Obama has no political achievements".
- Could it be that they really just hate women?
What did I expect from the party that opposed the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act!
