Breaking News: Conspiracy Theory

The Wingnuts have jumped the shark for what seems like the 1000th time this year.

This time there is a new conspiracy theory in the works and it's a beaut!

Ok, here it is... President Barack Obama is planning to stage a fake assassination attempt in an effort to stop the 2012 election from happening.

Just yesterday Rep. Kelly Keisling (R-Byrdstown) sent an email from his state email account to constituents making this astounding claim.

How would an assassination attempt stop the elections you ask. The email hypothesizes that the assassination attempt on the president would be blamed on "white supremisists" and used to enrage black and Hispanic communities leading to civil unrest (rioting) which would ultimately lead to the imposition of "martial law". This would in turn delay the election.

How the hell did Keisling get the blockbuster info you ask... Well here's how...The "theory" apparently got started with, what else, a conservative bloggers fertile imagination. First an article was written by Doug Hammon and posted on the conservative website CanadaFreePress.com. In the article Hammon said this idea came about after he claimed to have conversations with an informant within the Department of Homeland Security. From there a Florida based blogger named Joe Angione took the notion and ran with it. His notion was then posted on The Constitution Party of Florida's website where it then made it rounds to Rep. Keisling and here we are.

Yes.... Once again here we are.

By the way the original article was forwarded to Keisling for an unknown constituent named Ruby In her email to she says: "PLEASE SCROLL DOWN,"... "Something to think and PRAY about. Interesting times...Blessings, Ruby."

If anyone knows how I can thank Ruby for this invaluable information she has seen fit to bless us with please let me know.

Romney Continues Overseas Gaffe-a-thon Tour By Calling Palestinians Culturally Inferior

Mitt Romney continues to impress on his wondrous European gaffe-a-thon tour today by insulting the Palestinian people's culture just to score a few points with his sugar daddies.

Today Mitt Romney spoke to a room of over 40 wealthy donors which included New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, hedge fund manager Paul Singer and billionaire casino owner Sheldon Adelson (who has promised to donate more than $100 million to help defeat Obama) while they ate breakfast at the luxurious King David Hotel.

What Romney said to them at that breakfast has caused an international stir. While in all out pander mode Romney claimed that the Israeli's culture is what has allowed them to be more economically successful than the Palestinians. So in essence Romney said that the Palestinians were "culturally inferior" to their Israeli neighbors.

Here are Romney's exact words…

"As you come here and you see the GDP per capita, for instance, in Israel which is about $21,000, and compare that with the GDP per capita just across the areas managed by the Palestinian Authority, which is more like $10,000 per capita, you notice such a dramatically stark difference in economic vitality,"

Romney then said some economic histories have theorized that "culture makes all the difference."

"And as I come here and I look out over this city and consider the accomplishments of the people of this nation, I recognize the power of at least culture and a few other things,"

Romney then went on to dig his hole even deeper by saying that similar disparity exists between neighboring countries like Mexico and the United States.

His remarks on the subject drew a standing ovation from the audience.

Palestinian reaction was understandably divergent and immediate.

Saeb Erekat, a senior aide to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said "It is a racist statement and this man doesn't realize that the Palestinian economy cannot reach its potential because there is an Israeli occupation,".

"It seems to me this man lacks information, knowledge, vision and understanding of this region and its people," Erekat added. "He also lacks knowledge about the Israelis themselves. I have not heard any Israeli official speak about cultural superiority."

As criticism mounted the campaign sent out Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul to say that Mitt's "comments were grossly mischaracterized."

What makes it worse is tat Romney wasn't even right as far as the the economic disparity between the Israelis and the Palestinians. It is actually much worse. Israel has a per capita gross domestic product of about $31,000 in 2011, while the West Bank and Gaza had a per capita GDP of just over $1,500, according to the World Bank.

What it all boils down to is that this was just another example of Romney embarrassing America abroad. This misstep combined with his disastrous performance in the UK proves that Mitt is not ready for prime time.

Billboard Compares President Obama To Colorado Movie Theater Shooter

There's a new message on the electronic billboard on Franklin Road and North 21st Avenue in Caldwell, Idaho. The message draws a comparison between President Obama and James Holmes. Yes that James Holmes. The one that murdered 12 people in an Aurora Colorado a week and a half ago.

The billboard features a photo of both President Obama and deranged killer James Holmes. Under the picture of Holmes are the words, "Kills 12 in a movie theater with assault riffle, everyone freaks out". Under the photo of Obama is the message "Kills thousands with foreign policy, wins Nobel Peace Prize".

Here is the billboard...
The billboard is sponsored by The Ralph Smeed Foundation. The Ralph Smeed Foundation is an an anti-Obama advocacy group comprised of supporters of the dead libertarian activist of the same name. Here is a link to some of the Smeed Foundations fine work... Ralph Smeed Readerboard

Foundation member and former state lawmaker Maurice Clements, told The Idaho Statesman the billboard is a response to Obama's 'broken promise' to bring home the troops.

"We’re all outraged over that killing in Aurora, Colo., but we’re not outraged over the boys killed in Afghanistan,” and added that he's not trying to connect Obama to Holmes, he's just comparing the way society reacts. "We’re not saying that Obama is a lunatic,” he said.

To this date Ralph Smeed Foundation had never made any defamatory statements about the Bush/Cheney administration but somehow that doesn't surprise me.

As far as the locals are concerned the message is not going over well. They are quoted by NBC News as saying the billboard's message was "offensive," "abhorrent," and "pathetic,".

Canyon County Democratic Party communications director Judy Ferro says that she believes that even the late Ralph Smeed would object to it. “There’s no factual basis to it at all … it’s just offensive".

Stay classy Smeedites and just like the rest of the whackos never let truth or logic get in the way of your hate!

The Dawood Military Hospital Scandal

A Congressional investigation revealed horrific new details this week about a U.S. funded military hospital in Afghanistan that kept patients in "Auschwitz-like" conditions.

The investigation also revealed that Lt. General William B. Caldwell, then commander of the $11.2 billion dollar a year Afghan training program, tried to block the probe and ordered a cover-up.

There are currently two ongoing investigations looking into the Dawood Military Hospital abuses.

The photos and corresponding descriptions were collected by U.S. military personnel in Afghanistan.

Remember as you look at the pictures that it's our tax dollars that are paying for this.

Warning: The images are extremely graphic.

Thank you to Buzzfeed Politics for their fine reporting on this disturbing subject.

How Do You Know Romney Is Running Scared?

They Sent In The Clowns!

The leader of the Republican party Rush Limbaugh was the first bozo out of the clown car.

Limbaugh started the clown conga line yesterday by deciding to teach Mitt how to go after Obama by saying:

(as if he were talking to himself) “Okay so Mr. Limbaugh, since you have the answer to everything, then what would you suggest that Romney do, if he do?... Okay, fine! Look, pal, when I was out creating jobs, investing in businesses and growing this economy, you were at Columbia smoking weed and snorting coke. You write about it in your book, you talk about how you got into Columbia, the Harvard Law Review, and you didn't have to do anything. That was what’s great about it. You loved getting into Columbia because all you had to do was go to class, get your grades, and smoke a little weed while I was out building the country when you were doing that.”

In today's slime-fest Clarabell declared...

"I think it can now be said, without equivocation -- without equivocation -- that this man (Obama) hates this country. He is trying -- Barack Obama is trying -- to dismantle, brick by brick, the American dream. There's no other way to put this. There's no other way to explain this. He was indoctrinated as a child. His father was a communist. His mother was a leftist. He was sent to prep and Ivy League schools where his contempt for the country was reinforced."

Here is a recording of Rush's "Obama hates America" rant (jump to the 5 min. mark)…
It was said that after his screed Limbaugh then put his hand in his pocket and appeared to squeeze something whereupon water squirted from the large cartoonish flower on his ample lapel.

The second clown to hit the stage was Romney's curmudgeonly hatchet man John Sununu. Sununu parroted Limbaugh's talking points like a good soldier by going on (where else) Fox News and saying…

"He has no idea how the American system functions, and we shouldn't be surprised about that, because he spent his early years in Hawaii smoking something, spent the next set of years in Indonesia, another set of years in Indonesia," he said. "And, frankly, when he came to the U.S. he worked as a community organizer, which is a socialized structure, and then got into politics in Chicago."

Sununu then went on to say in a conference call Tuesday morning that he wished Obama "would learn how to be an American,"

There is no truth to the rumor that he then squeezed his nose releasing a loud honking noise.

Obama spokeswoman Lis Smith. "This meltdown and over-the-top rhetoric won’t make things better -- it only calls attention to how desperate they are to change the conversation."

There can be little doubt now that the Romney campaign knows it is being hurt by the Obama teams attacks on Romney's Bain Capitol days and his unreleased tax returns. It is understandable why they would want to hit back and hit hard. The only problem with the counter attacks is that the charges they are leveling at Obama are already widely known "facts". Plus there substance have little or nothing to do with the job he is running for.

The reason the "Bain" and "Tax" attacks hit so hard is that they are central to who Mitt Romney is and the platform he is running on to achieve his ultimate goal of becoming the President.

Pat Robertson Says "Walk Away" From Your Muslim Fiance

Every time I post a clip of Pat Robertson saying something idiotic I always remark... "Is he still alive?". This clip proves that he may still be moving but he is definatly brain dead.

Here is some of Pat's sage love advice telling a man who has been in love with a Muslim woman for three years and is planning to marry soon to leave her immediately. While he is rendering this service Robertson uses the scripture to call her an "unbeliever" and a "heathen" and then cites as a reason to leave is that "She'll wanna do her Muslim thing"... What a romantic!
Thanks to rightwingwatch.org for the clip!

Best... Political... Ad... Ever!

What makes it even better is that Obama ran this ad the day after Romney went on 5 different networks demanding an apology from the President for his "Bain" attacks... Classic!

Hey Teabaggers... In 2009 Americans Paid Lowest Tax Rates In 30 Years

Here are two undisputed facts. The Tea Party was formed in 2009 right about the time Barack Obama was settling into his first term and the 3 letters T E A in Tea Party is an acronym for "taxed enough already".

Only now there seems to be a problem.... The problem being that in 2009, Americans paid the lowest tax rates in 30 years to federal government.

Here it is in a chart provided by the Congressional Budget Office who conducted the study...
Oopsies... That's right, the federal tax rates are lower than they were under Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

So now that your "taxed enough already" cover is blown may I suggest another 3 letters that more aptly sum up your beliefs... K.K.K.... You know it's true.

A Few Things Overheard At Mitt Romney’s 3 Hamptons Fundraisers

Last weekend There were 3 separate fundraisers held for Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney in The Hamptons.

The first of the fund-raisers was held at the sprawling home of Ronald O. Perelman, the billionaire financier and chairman of Revlon. It's guests paid up to $25,000 a head to hear Romney speak.

The afternoon fundraising event, at $50,000 a pop, was held at at the Hamptons homes of Clifford Sobel, a former U.S. ambassador to Brazil.

The Third and final fundraiser of the day was held at the estate of billionaire industrialist David Koch on Meadow Lane in Southampton. The suggested contribution at that event was $75,000 per couple.

Here Are A Few Things Said By The Protestors:

Dissent IS Patriotic

Romney President of the 1%

"If you’re siding with David Koch, you’re standing against the 99%.”

Koch Kills

Shame on you

Voters in, money out.”

The protestors also hired a local pilot to fly with a black and red banner that read: “Romney has a Koch problem.”

Pete DeWitt, 59, who said “the Kochs represent everything that’s wrong with the system. It’s their anti-labor, anti-environment agenda I’m protesting, their secret giving to politics. I wouldn’t protest someone like Perelman -- he seems fine. I have no problem with wealth and money in general.

Michael Korn, a 57-year-old from Brooklyn said “It doesn’t matter if it’s Romney or Obama,” he said. “Votes shouldn’t be weighed by oodles of cash.”

Pretty standard fare from the left. Now…..

Here Are A Few Things Said By The Donors:

A woman in a blue chiffon dress poked her head out of a black Range Rover here on Sunday afternoon and yelled to an aide to Mitt Romney, “Is there a V.I.P. entrance. We are V.I.P.

Laura R. Schwartz of New Jersey said, from inside her Range Rover, that Mr. Obama had not visited Israel as president, and continued “I don’t think he is good for Israel,” she said. Mr. Romney, she said, “is a fresh face.”

Ted Conklin, the owner of the American Hotel in Sag Habor, N.Y. said of Barack Obama. “He is a socialist. His idea is find a problem that doesn’t exist and get government to intervene,” Mr. Conklin said from inside a gold-colored Mercedes.

Ted Conklin's Wife Carol Simmons, who sat next to her husband, said of her spouse's generous spirit: “Tell them who’s on your yacht this weekend! Tell him!” Over Mr. Conklin’s objections, Ms. Simmons disclosed that a major executive from Miramax, the movie company, was on the 75-foot yacht, because, she said, there were no rooms left at the hotel.

Michael Zambrelli said as the couple waited in their SUV for clearance into the Creeks "It's not helping the economy to pit the people who are the engine of the economy against the people who rely on that engine," continuing "He's basically been biting the hand that fed him in '08. ... I would bet 25% of the people here were supporters of Obama in '08. And they're here now."

A New York City donor a few cars back, who would not give her name, said Romney needed to do a better job connecting. "I don't think the common person is getting it,... "Nobody understands why Obama is hurting them."

Here's the best part….

"We've got the message," she added. "But my college kid, the baby sitters, the nails ladies -- everybody who's got the right to vote -- they don't understand what's going on. I just think if you're lower income -- one, you're not as educated, two, they don't understand how it works, they don't understand how the systems work, they don't understand the impact."

And Now A Word From The Candidate:

Romney, for his part, said at the fundraiser that he is focused on everyday voters. “If you are here, by and large, you are doing just fine,”

I think Mitt summed it up nicely.

The Democratic National Committee released an ad asking what would Mitt Romney do for his obsenely wealthy donors if he were elected. The answer is that he would give them a new $250,000 tax cut in accordance with the Ryan Budget Plan which Romney has in the past so infamously called "Marvelous"!

Republican's Repeal Health Care Law For The 33rd Time

Today Republicans passed a bill to repeal President Obama’s health care overhaul law less than two weeks after the Supreme Court upheld it as constitutional.

Before today the GOP had voted to repeal "Obamacare" 32 times in the last 18 months.

Funny I thought the 33rd time was gonna be a charm...

With a Democratically controlled Senate and a 100 percent chance of a veto if it ever reached President Obama this was (once again) a waste of time, money and according to some polls, the people's will.

At least they're not trying to create jobs or anything crazy like that.

Miami-Dade School Board Sends Message To First Lady: STAY OUT!

Republican members of the Miami-Dade School Board in Florida has, in no uncertain terms, told First Lady Michelle Obama To: "Stay out of our school!"

Two GOP board members urged that a campaign event at Barbara Goleman Senior High in Miami Lakes be cancelled and questioned whiter it was legal for Michelle Obama to lease out and hold a political event at the school.

Board member Carlos Curbelo, who has worked as a Republican strategist, wrote in the letter to the board's attorney “Allowing the first lady of the United States to use one of our schools explicitly to benefit the president’s reelection campaign is inappropriate and sends the wrong message to our students, employees, and to taxpayers – even if the president’s campaign is willing to pay for all costs resulting from the event,”.

Fellow board member Renier Diaz de la Portilla, who is is running for state House as a Republican, said: “The use of public schools whose only focus should be to educate our children for political gain is downright wrong. Don’t these liberals have boundaries? Our schools are places for learning, not places for politicking.”

By the way, all this is happening while Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is set to hold a town hall the same day at a high school in another swing state, Colorado…. but I guess that's an entirely different story.

In an effort to put the concerned citizen's tiny tiny minds at ease Miami-Dade's school board attorney, Walter Harvey, said Under School Board policy, all groups, including political, religious and nonprofits, can apply to lease facilities from the Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Does anyone wonder if the two board members would object to having Christian prayer in their school…? I'm gonna go out on a limb any say that I think they would be all right with "that message" being sent to their students.

"Mean" Jean Schmidt Freaks Out Over Supreme Courts False Obamacare Ruling

Last Thursday when the Supreme Court was ruling on the constitutionality of The Affordable Care Act both Fox and CNN reported incorrectly that the justices had declared the law unconstitutional.

Republican Congresswoman Jean Schmidt was apparently outside the courthouse waiting for the ruling to be announced. Unbeknown to her a man with a cell phone camera was filming at the exact moment sh received the(false) news that the bill was unconstitutional... Her reaction was ... Ummm... Orgasmic? Ewwww.

For those of you who want to see what Congresswoman Jean Schmidt looks like in full on rapture mode click the link below...
Here is an equally funny/cringe inducing clip where a Youtuber inter cut the infamous orgasm scene from the movie "When Harry Met Sally" with the Congresswoman's reaction...

The Saddest Republican Tweet About The Supreme Courts Ruling On Obamacare

We all know that last week the Supreme Court ruled that President Obama's Affordable Care Act was constitutional. Georgia Republican congressman Jack Kingston was apparently very distraught by the decision the court arrived at. So distraught, in fact, that he felt inclined to send out a tweet to show how sad he was. It is in my opinion the saddest tweet by a Republican I have ever seen...

Remember this Jack. If you are ever so depressed about the fact that the court held up President Obama's signature piece of legislation that you consider harming yourself don't hesitate to get some therapy.... Therapy that will most likely be covered under Obama's Affordable Care Act.
