The More Hate Duck Dynasty's Star Spews The More Conservative Right Wingers Love Him

Phil Robertson... I suggest that you fuck a duck.

If you are new to the Duck Dynasty controversy party here is a quick refresher to get you up to speed. The patriarch of the family is named Phil Robertson. Phil likes to engage himself in deep thoughts such as which has more to offer him, "a vagina or a man's anus". Phil also likes public speaking. When he does he likes to remind the audience that homosexuals are "full of murder, envy, strife, hatred... are insolent, arrogant, god haters, heartless,  faithless, senseless, ruthless, (and) ... invent ways of doing evil.

For some reason this kind of talk really gets the right wing of this country all excited. It really gets their juices flowing. They are practically tripping over themselves to defend and praise good ol' Phil.

Let's start about with tha craziest thing anyone has ever said about this guy and work our way down from there....

Ian Bayne
Conservative talk radio host, and GOP congressional candidate Ian Bayne went all in with this one when he compared good ol' Phil Robertson to civil rights icon Rosa Parks!
"In December 1955, Rosa Parks took a stand against an unjust societal persecution of black people, and in December 2013, Robertson took a stand against persecution of Christians,"

Westboro Baptist Church
The good folk down at the Westboro Baptist Church have tweeted that they plan to picket A&E in support of fellow hate monger Phil...

Sean Hannity
Sean Hannity told his listeners of his radio show...
"What he (Robertson) expressed here was probably more old-fashioned traditional Christian sentiment and values, whether you like it or not,"

Bryan Fischer
The American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer wrote a spirited defense of Phil Robertson on his Twitter by comparing the reproductive system and all of human sexuality by comparing it to plumbing...
Phil Robertson is a new American hero. He said exactly what the great majority of Americans believe. Phil Robertson is right. It’s a simple matter of plumbing. Easy to figure out what is supposed to go where. And where not.”

Ted Cruz
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) joined in the hootenanny when he wrote this on his Facebook page...
"If you believe in free speech or religious liberty, you should be deeply dismayed over the treatment of Phil Robertson. Phil expressed his personal views and his own religious faith; for that, he was suspended from his job. In a free society, anyone is free to disagree with him--but the mainstream media should not behave as the thought police censoring the views with which they disagree."

Bobby Jindal
Bobby Jindal, the Republican Governor of Louisiana, showed Phil some love with this
"Phil Robertson and his family are great citizens of the State of Louisiana. The politically correct crowd is tolerant of all viewpoints, except those they disagree with... this is a free country and everyone is entitled to express their views. In fact, I remember when TV networks believed in the First Amendment. It is a messed up situation when Miley Cyrus gets a laugh, and Phil Robertson gets suspended."

Sarah Palin
Sarah Palin chimed in with this folksy bit of stupidity on her Facebook page....

Bristol Palin
Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol is getting in on the action...
"Everyone needs to leave Phil Robertson alone for expressing his beliefs. I think it’s so hypocritical how the LGBT community expects every single flippen person to agree with their life style.  This flies in the face of what makes America great – people can have their own beliefs and own opinions and their own ways of life.      Everyone needs to treat others like God would, with love. It goes both ways.      [...]      They take the easy way out every time anyone speaks out about their beliefs on the Bible. If I were Duck Dynasty, I would take my show to another channel. So much disrespect."

Even the freaking Log Cabin Republicans released a statement about Robertson's suspension over anti-gay remarks.
Let’s put an end to all of the fussing and feuding and talk about this like adults. Phil, you have your views and we have ours, but I think you’d be surprised how much we all have in common, and there’s no better gay folk out there to make that case than Log Cabin Republicans. We’re conservative, we’re guided by our faith, and we believe in freedom of speech. Most important, we are all children of God; that’s the most important thing we have in common. So in the spirit of the season, let’s get together — your family and ours — raise a glass, and work this out.”

Duck family
Of course the Duck Dynasty family had to issue a statement...
"We want to thank all of you for your prayers and support... We want you to know that first and foremost we are a family rooted in our faith in God and our belief that the Bible is His word. While some of Phil’s unfiltered comments to the reporter were coarse, his beliefs are grounded in the teachings of the Bible. Phil is a Godly man who follows what the Bible says are the greatest commandments: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Phil would never incite or encourage hate... Again, thank you for your continued support of our family."

Finally, if you are so inclined you can head over to the brand spanking new website named brought to you by the good people at the "Faith Driven Consumer". The site has launched a massive petition to fight A&E’s suspension. So far they have 178,640 signatures.

That's a lot of love for hate. It must be the holidays.
