|Really guys... My suit color now... I'm out!|
While many folks on social media poked fun at President Obama's choice of suit at a Thursday news conference one conservative member of Congress wasn't having any of it.
Republican Rep. Peter King of New York is instead very very upset with Mr. Obama for wearing “a light suit, light tan suit” while discussing the threat of ISIS yesterday.
While discussing the matter on NewsMaxTV King said of the sartorial sacrilege...
“There’s no way any of us can excuse what the president did yesterday. When you have the world watching… a week, two weeks of anticipation of what the United States is gonna do. For him to walk out — I’m not trying to be trivial here — in a light suit, light tan suit, saying that first he wants to talk about what most Americans care about the revision of second quarter numbers on the economy. This is a week after Jim Foley was beheaded and he’s trying to act like real Americans care about the economy, not about ISIS and not about terrorism. And then he goes on to say he has no strategy.”
King went on to say that Obama’s comments and actions showed “foreign policy was not a major issue” for President Obama.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest responded to the tan suit outrage by saying...
"The president stands squarely behind the decision that he made yesterday to wear his summer suit at yesterday’s news conference. It’s the Thursday before Labor Day. He feels pretty good about it.”
And don't think for a moment king was the only wing-nut to feel rage at Obama's fashion choices. Every Fox News pundit and conservative radio hate merchant was on that suit like tan on George Hamilton!
It is embarrassingly apparent now that 6 years into this presidents term and it is clear they will never cut him a break on anything to which I say... Lighten up Francis.
By the way in case you were wondering... Yeah it's been done before.
