Fox News "Experts" Explain Why Atheists Are Morally Incapable Of Holding Elected Office

Yesterday Fox And Friends Sunday edition ensconced a panel of "experts" to discuss whether an Atheist was morally capable of holding the office of the President of the United States. It involved a back and forth between Fox News' resident douchebag Tucker Carlson, Catholic priest Father Jonathan Morris, weekend host and man with three names that are euphemisms for a penis Peter Johnson Jr. and a blond lady.

The discussion which started out as a question about faith in politics quickly devolved into what they were really there to do... Bash Atheists. After the false set up the team eventually got to their main focus which was that atheists were not suitable candidates for any office with their hard to argue logic that those types of people would be “hard to trust” because they don't believe God will punish them by sending them to hell for eternity if they do something naughty.

Father Jonathan Morris started the rap session after Fox ran several clips of Republican presidential candidates sermonizing yesterday at something named "The Faith And Freedom Coalition". He started by positing ...

One thing is very certain is you can’t fake religion, Politicians sometimes fall into that, I think. What matters most to us Americans — those who will be voting — is what these guys said before they were running for president, the way in which they lived before they started running for president and I think they need to be very clear about the values they believe in, not making stuff up in order to get votes. And then people will say, ‘Even if I disagree with some of his beliefs, I like the fact that I can trust him to be who he says he is.'

Douchebag Tucker Carlson then asked the diminutive priest...

"So how should faith inform a public officials life"

Father Morris answered with this completely nonsensical retort...

Well, if it doesn't inform your life then it's not faith because faith is a set of beliefs. It’s a belief in God, it’s a belief that there are eternal consequences for your actions. And I think that a leader that doesn’t have that — a set of core beliefs that help him to make justice an important part of his life and his decisions because he knows that there are eternal consequences, well, it’s somebody that it’s hard to trust.”

Peter Johnson Jr. then lobbed a softball to the Priest by wondering aloud if voters should “judge” people based on their faith exclaiming...

Should voters judge the faith of people running for President? For example, if someone running for president is an atheist... Are they qualified to be the president.”

Padre Morris replied by saying no and then ultimately saying yes all in one sentence...

You know, I would say faith is not the most important thing, but wisdom...But yes, it certainly makes a difference who that person is.”

Tucker Carlson heartily agreed adding...

That’s for sure,"

  1. These talk shows are bad enough when they get people who know something about the subject at hand, but lately the trend seems to be getting mindless idiots who don't know anything about anything. And the results are mindnumbingly stupid.
