Conservative Host Believes That The Amtrak Engineer's Sexuality Is 'A Factor' In Train Crash

Sandy Rios: A special kind of crazy
Last Tuesday in Philadelphia Amtrak Northeast Regional Train 188 overturned as it rounded as curve in the tracks. The derailment tossed and mangled several of the trains cars causing the death of eight of it passengers and injuring over two hundred more.

A preliminary investigation of the accident shows that the train was traveling at 100mph, double the recommended speed, as it rounded the curve. There still has been no concrete reason given for the increased speed nor has it been determined that it was the cause of the deadly accident.

Yet, according to Fox News regular and conservative radio host Sandy Rios it was quite possible that it was the sexual orientation of Amtrak engineer that doomed the ill fated train. Rios made it abundantly clear when she opined on her radio show that the sexuality of the man who helmed the train was most definitely “a factor” in it's crash.

Rios levied the charges against the engineer after she found out that he had campaigned against California’s ban on same-sex marriage which I guess in Rio's mind is a dead giveaway that you are gay. Once that damning bit of information was established Rios went on to say...

I am not inferring to [sic] those of you who are gay rights activists and who like to monitor this show, I’m not inferring that this accident happened because he was gay... But I do think it’s an interesting part of the story, and I bet it will be edited out. I don’t know but I think it is something to be discussed and I think it’s a factor and I doubt you will hear it anywhere else.”

Rios then went off the reservation and paralleled the Amtrak train derailment with a story about someone she claims she knew who underwent a gender transition and also worked in transportation. She characterized this other individual as “going through some confusion that has to do with the very core of who they are.”

Someone I know who worked for a very large airline started taking hormone shots and put his entire plane at risk because he had an emotional, angry outburst to something that happened,”

You can listen to Rios' sick, idiotic and hateful rant here…

Besides her radio show Rios is also, unsurprisingly, a Fox News contributor who was listed on Fox's website as an active contributor as recently as Yesterday. Rios is also  the director of government affairs at the American Family Association, which has been labeled a “hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

GOP Rep. Gordon Klingenschmitt Warns That Marijuana "Hallucinations" Will Welcome "Demonic Spirits" Into Your Heart!

The human equivalent of spilled bong water

Gordon Klingenschmitt is the stems and seeds in the bowl of life.

Yes, old Klingenschmitt is at it again! "Dr. Chaps", the alternate persona he believes he takes on when preaching, is back with a vengeance and has a new message for all his viewer.

If you don't know Gordon Klingenschmitt from my previous rants he is the disgraced former Navy Chaplain who was court-martialed for disobeying direct orders and now is a member of the Colorado House of Representatives for the 15th district… For reals! I don't know how it happened but it did and it's reflecting very poorly on Colorado.

Anyway...

Now that Colorado’s latest legislative session has ended Klingenschmitt has gone back to his radio show so he can properly address the bee in his bonnet! You see Gordo is fighting' mad about Colorado's legalization of pot!

And it's not just the legalization of pot that has him all in a lather. No, it's the hallucinations that the wacky tobaccy gives you which in turn invites demons to possess your very soul with every toke you take!

Now even though the National Institutes of Health say that pot itself does not cause hallucinations Klingenschmitt knows better because he has the scriptures to tell him the real deal when it comes to the devil's weed. Dr. Chaps described the mary jane induced hallucinations this way...

When you begin hallucinating, I’m told, and you begin seeing these images, do you think that’s coming from the spirit of God? No. You’re having apparitions and you are seeing and interacting with and welcoming to rule your heart a demonic spirit of drunkenness. That’s not recreational. It’s evil.”

And he doesn't stop there. Klingenschmitt then hits up the good book to drive his point home. For this he recites 1 Peter 5:8, which talks says…

"Be alert and of a sober mind. Your enemy the Devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour"

In the past Klingenschmitt has argued that the forbidden fruit the Bible refers to could actually have been… get this… WEED!!!!!

He posits that god didn’t actually place pot on Earth as one of the herbs cited in Genesis 1:29, but rather, says that the "forbidden fruit" that Adam and Eve ate may have been pot. To further bolster his point Klingenschmitt goes on to say that the Bible never actually uses the word “apple,” but it does use “forbidden weed”. So therefore the “weed” that Adam and Eve ate/smoked in the Garden of Eden that caused the fall of man… Is pot.

Mind. Blown.

Here is the video of Klingenschmitt's rant. It'll totally harsh your mellow man…

All this crazy talk leaves me with one burning question… Which hellborn demonic beast should I fear the more? Cheech or Chong?

Jeb Bush Reveals That "Knowing What We Know Now" He Would Still Invade Iraq

And the truth shall set you free… From ever  being the President
Given the fact that the Iraq War is highly unpopular with the general electorate and both right and left leaning Americans believe the fight was not worth the lives lost and dollars spent it makes it all the more stunning to hear the words that came out of Jeb Bush's mouth yesterday.

While on home turf in an interview with Fox News' Megyn Kelly former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush committed an unforced error on what appeared to be a lobbed softball question that should have been an easy teed up home run.

Here is that question that tripped up Jeb...

Megyn Kelly: On the subject of Iraq... obviously very controversial. Knowing what we know now, would you have authorized the invasion?

Jeb Bush: I would have, and so would have Hillary Clinton, just to remind everybody, and so would have almost everybody that was confronted with the intelligence they got.

Megyn Kelly: You don't think it was a mistake?

Jeb Bush: In retrospect the intelligence that everybody saw, that the world saw, not just the United States, was faulty. And in retrospect, once we invaded and took out Saddam Hussein, we didn’t focus on security first. And the Iraqis, in this incredibly insecure environment, turned on the United States military because there was no security for themselves and their families. By the way, guess who thinks that those mistakes took place as well? George W. Bush. Yes, I mean, so just for the news flash to the world, if they’re trying to find places where there’s big space between me and my brother, this might not be one of those.

Not a good answer. So bad , in fact, was Gov. Bush's answer that prompted immediate outrage not only from the left but from several prominent conservatives as well who argued the stance would hurt Bush in the general election.

Here is the run down of right wing grievances...

Laura Ingraham, a Conservative radio host said of the comment...

"You can't still think that going into Iraq, now, as a sane human being, was the right thing to do. If you do, there has to be something wrong with you."

Roger Simon of Politico wrote that he's been left...

"to wonder just how many times Jeb was dropped on his head as a child."

Byron York of The Washington Examiner's  was perhaps the most fervent in his criticism, calling Bush's response "disastrous":

"If Jeb Bush sticks to his position -- that he would still authorize war knowing what we know today -- it will represent a step backward for the Republican Party."

Today Bush tried to extinguish the fire his comments ignited by calling into Sean Hannity's radio show to set the record straight but instead only exaserbated the situation by saying....

I interpreted the question wrong, I guess. I don’t know what that decision would have been -- that’s a hypothetical. Simple fact is, mistakes were made."

Bush's refusal to repudiate his brother' decision to attack Iraq based on lies his administration propped up will likely fail to assuage the conservatives whom now find themselves at odds with him and this astounding cock up.

54% Of Republicans Still Believe That “Deep Down” Obama Is Really A Muslim

Well, this is embarrassing. According to a newly released poll by Alex Theodoridis of the University of California at Merced showed that 54 percent of Republicans believe that “deep down” Obama is a Muslim.

Here is a chart of how it all breaks down...

Via: Vox.com
If any further proof is needed one would have to look no further than a recent town hall event with Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), where in the span of 10 minutes a man calls President Obama “a Muslim terrorist” not once but twice!

Here is a video of that event…

To make the whole thing even more unpalatable is the fact that Senator Johnson never missed a beat and never even bothered to correct the man.

Say what you will about John McCain but 6 1/2 years ago at a televised campaign event he at least had the moral fortitude to correct a misguided woman who called then Presidential candidate Barack Obama "an Arab".

JADE HELM 15 ALERT! Obama And US Army Poised To Take Over Texas With The Help Of Secret Walmart Tunnel Prisons!

Save Money,  Live Better And Take Over Texas!
Okay. Try to stick with me on this one. Were going to go down this rabbit hole slowly here because this story is steep and slippery with crazy.

Apparently all the crazy is over an eight-week US military exercise to train Special Operations soldiers in all branches of the military. The goal of the exercise is to ready our troops for combat in hostile territory and prepare them for unconventional warfare. The exercises will be occurring in seven states including Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah as well.

The name given to these combat exercises is… Wait for it…

"Operation Jade Helm 15"

Scary right? ((Shivers))

Out of the seven states, apparently, only the Texas citizenry are up in arms over these exercises. You see they know what the other six states don't. They know this operation is only a smokescreen for Obama's governments real objective…. MARTIAL LAW!

Yes, the real objective of Operation Jade Helm 15 is for the US armed forces to sweep through Texas, shred the Constitution and place the entire state under martial law and enacting a militarized police state.

As one Jade Helm 15 truther put it: "For years now, our veterans, Christians, patriots, gun owners, constitutionalists, pro-life advocates, small government supporters, small businesses, real journalists in the press, anti-corruption activists, anti-UN Agenda 21 advocates, anti-global warming supporters, anti-war patriots and anti-criminal immigration supporters have all been targeted by this administration as enemies of the United States".

And just what is the Muslim-Marxist jihadist Obama supposed to do with these "enemies"? That is where the Walmarts come in!

It has been hypothesized that the closure of several Texas Walmarts is so that they can be converted and used as the headquarters of invading troops from China, here to disarm Americans one by one as promised by Michelle Obama before they leave the White House?" The Walmarts will also be used as detention centers à la Auschwitz according to some. Still others say that a massive tunnel system has been built underneath the Walmarts so that the invading US/Chinese armies may more readily move from town to town for their attacks all the while going unnoticed (Here is the official denial from Walmart).

The hysteria has grown so out of control that the US Army had to send Lt. Col. Mark Lastoria, director of public affairs with the United States Army Special Operations Command down to Texas to do some 'splaining. It did not go well. Lastoria fielded questions and accusations ranging from: whether Jade Helm 15 will involve bringing foreign fighters from the Islamic State to Texas, to whether U.S. troops will confiscate Texans’ guns and whether the Army intends to implement martial law. Lastoria tried to assuage the fears and anger of the assembled crowd saying...

We understand there’s concern out there on social media; there’s a significant amount of inaccurate information, which I hope I clarified today for a lot of people. What I want them to know is: We’re going to be conducting the training exercise safely, and courteously. We’re not going to interfere with their privacy or their rights with this.”

After trying his best to calm the crowd Lt. Col. Mark Lastoria was met with jeers and taunts and was called a liar by the assembled citizenry.

Now just to make things worse in comes the clown car.

Politicians have now lent credence to the cretins fears by assuring the good people of Texas that they will look into the nefarious goings on inside Obama's Jade Helm 15.

First to take the bait is...

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott directed Maj. Gen. Gerald Betty, commander of the Texas State Guard, to monitor the operation claiming Betty will provide regular updates to the governor’s office. In a letter Abbott wrote in a letter to Maj. Gen. Gerald Betty...

During the training operation, it is important that Texans know their safety, constitutional rights, private property right and civil liberties will not be infringed,”

Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert decided kick things up to a level of gross irresponsibility saying he "certainly can understand" the Jade Helm worries, and casted on the military and the Obama administration...

"Once I observed the map depicting ‘hostile,' ‘permissive,' and ‘uncertain' states and locations, I was rather appalled that the hostile areas amazingly have a Republican majority, ‘cling to their guns and religion,' and believe in the sanctity of the United States Constitution. When the federal government begins, even in practice, games or exercises, to consider any U.S. city or state in 'hostile' control and trying to retake it, the message becomes extremely calloused and suspicious."

Republican Presidential candidate Ted Cruz, who never let's a chance to pander to the lowest common denominator, said...

I understand a lot of the concerns raised by a lot of citizens about Jade Helm. It’s a question I’m getting a lot, and I think part of the reason is we have seen, for six years, a federal government disrespecting the liberty of the citizens. And that produces fear, when you see a federal government that is attacking our free speech rights, or religious liberty rights, or Second Amendment rights, that produces distrust.”

Even toupee model Chuck Norris has gotten in on the action writing an OpEd on the right wing Web site WorldNetDaily

The U.S. government says, ‘It’s just a training exercise.’ But I’m not sure the term ‘just’ has any reference to reality when the government uses it. It’s neither over-reactionary nor conspiratorial to call into question or ask for transparency about Jade Helm 15 or any other government activity, To those who merely think we should check our brains at the door of the White House and trust what the government does, I would reiterate to you the words of one of our government’s primary founders, Benjamin Franklin, who said, ‘Distrust and caution are the parents of security.'”

So I send a hearty good luck to the military in their efforts and a congratulations to Walmart on their new line of tunnel prisons designed I would assume by Isaac Mizrahi.

Go Fightin' Jade Helmers!

Employers Added 223,000 Jobs In April And The Unemployment Rate Drops To 5.4 Percent

According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics U.S. employers added 223,000 jobs in April. This solid gain suggests that the economy may be recovering after a stumble earlier this year. Additionally the Labor Department announced today that the unemployment rate has dipped to 5.4 percent from 5.5 percent in March. This is the lowest rate the U.S. has seen since May 2008 (7 years), six months into the Great Recession.

Analysts believe that the pick-up in economic momentum that could keep the Federal Reserve on track to hike interest rates this year. This was a welcome sign to investors on Wall Street who cheered the report and drove major stock indexes rising more than 1 percent.

The report also suggested underlying strength in the economy despite the fact that the wage growth was again tepid and March payrolls were revised downward. The weakness in average hourly earnings is in stark contrast with other compensation measures that have suggested solid wage growth in recent months.

This is how the report breaks down...

  • Yields on U.S. Treasury debt slipped and futures contracts showed traders clinging to bets the U.S. central bank would raise rates from near zero this year as the dollar was little changed against a basket of currencies.

  • The drop in the unemployment rate pushed it within a whisker or two of the 5 percent to 5.2 percent range that most Fed officials consider consistent with full employment.

  • The labor force participation rate, or the share of working-age Americans who are employed or at least looking for a job, rose 0.1 percentage point to 62.8 percent, although that was just up from a 36-year low.

  • A broad measure of joblessness that includes people who want to work but have given up searching and those working part-time because they can't find full-time employment fell to 10.8 percent - the lowest level since August 2008.

  • The number of long-term unemployed continued to fall as well.

  • Wages, however, were a weak spot with the average hourly earnings rising just 3 cents. While that took the year-on-year gain to 2.2 percent, it remained stuck in the range it has been in for the past few years.

  • Despite the broad-based acceleration in job growth in April, the one exception was the mining sector, where a plunge in crude oil prices has undercut energy production. The plus side is lowered gas prices at the pump.

  • Mining payrolls fell 15,000, logging the fourth straight month of declines.

  • Manufacturing employment increased 1,000 after being flat in March as factories struggle with a strong dollar.

  • Construction payrolls jumped 45,000 after falling 9,000 in March.

  • Private services employment rose 182,000 and government payrolls increased 10,000.

Here are some of the views of economic annalists about the jobs numbers…

Scott Anderson, chief economist at Bank of the West in San Francisco. said…

"With the unemployment rate approaching full-employment levels it will only be a matter of time before wages start to rise at a somewhat swifter pace,"

Michael Gapen, chief U.S. economist at Barclays in New York said…

"We see this report as reducing concerns that weak first-quarter growth represents a loss of economic momentum,"

Michelle Girard, chief economist at RBS in Stamford, Connecticut said…

"Even without wages or inflation picking up, we do not think the Fed will feel comfortable sitting at zero as the unemployment rate closes in on 5 percent,"

All in all a pretty solid joe number!

Texas GOP Rep. Claims ‘What Is Going On In Baltimore’ Is Because Of Too Many Gay Marriages

Representative Bill Flores of Texas thinks about gay people a lot.
Republican U.S. House Representative Bill Flores of Texas argued this week that the violence in Baltimore could be linked to the legalization of same-sex marriage in the United States.

No, really!

On Wednesday Rep. Bill Flores, R-Texas went on the “Washington Watch” radio program witch is  hosted by the "Family Research Council's President Tony Perkins. Flores was on the show to discuss the anti-marriage-equality rally outside of the Supreme Court that both men had attended that morning.

During the interview, Flores went on to suggest that gay marriage will somehow lead to a breakdown of the "family model" and an increased number of single-parent-led households, contributing to poverty and the conditions which led to the Baltimore riots.

Here's how Rep. Flores then went on to link the the two completely unrelated conservative right wing hot topics of the day...

You look at what’s going on in Baltimore today, you know, you see issues that are raised there and healthy marriages are the ones between a man and a woman because they can have a healthy family and they can raise children in the way that’s best for their future, not only socially but psychologically, economically, from a health perspective... There’s just nothing like traditional marriage that does that. Each of us have a mother and a father and there's just no way to get around that

Then just to show that he was 100 percent full of shit Flores also went on to allege that 80 percent of Americans oppose a Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide (when actually 50 percent [PDF] support the court doing just that).

Listen to the whole mess here via the good people at Right Wing Watch...

Six Baltimore Police Officers Charged In The Death Of Freddie Gray *UPDATE

From Left To Right: Caesar Goodson, Garrett E. Miller, Edward M. Nero,            William G. Porter, Brian W. Rice, Alicia White
Today in Baltimore the city's top prosecutor, Marilyn Mosby, charged six police officers with felonies ranging from assault to murder in the death of Freddie Gray. The charges could garner anywhere from a 10-year prison sentence up to second-degree "depraved heart" murder, which could put the van driver in prison for 30 years if convicted.

State's Attorney Mosby's charges were handed down one day after she received the police review, the autopsy and her own office's investigation which she asserts all point to homicide.

Mosby went on to say Gray's arrest was illegal and unjustified. She then stated that Grey died of a broken neck due to the fact that he was handcuffed, shackled and placed head-first into a police van, where his pleas for medical attention were repeatedly ignored as he lay inside the small metal box.

In the detailed description she gave Mosby's said that the police had no reason to chase down let alone stop Freddie Gray. She then went on to say that the arresting officers falsely accused him of having an illegal switchblade when in fact it was a legal pocketknife, the van driver and other officers failed to strap him down in a direct violation of department policy, and then ignored Gray's repeated pleas for medical attention, even rerouting the van to pick up another passenger.

In her statement Mosby did not indicate whether there was any indication the driver deliberately drove erratically, causing Gray's body to strike the van's interior.

Gray's stepfather, Richard Shipley, told a news conference.

"We are satisfied with today's charges. These charges are an important step in getting justice for Freddie."

Attorney Michael Davey, a lawyer hired by the police union, insisted the officers did nothing wrong saying that the charges were...

"an egregious rush to judgment. We have grave concerns about the fairness and integrity of the prosecution of our officers,"

After the charges were handed down police unions immediately requested that State's Attorney Mosby step aside and appoint a special prosecutor to handle the case. Mosby refused saying that honorable police officers should have no problem working with prosecutors in Baltimore.

*UPDATE 5/2/15: The six accused Baltimore police officers were just released on bonds of between $250,000 and $350,000.
