Jeb Bush Responds To 10 Dead In School Shooting By Saying "Stuff Happens"

One day after a gunman opened fire in a classroom at Umpqua Community College which killed ten and injured seven others, presidential hopeful, Jeb Bush decided to speak on the matter.

At a forum in South Carolina Bush flatly stated that he's opposed to new federal gun laws. Bush then went on to make an unbelievably unfortunate statement to explain why...

"Stuff happens ... there's always a crisis, and the impulse is to do something, and it's not necessarily the right thing to do."

Here is a video of those statements...

Bush later defended his use of the phrase "stuff happens" by saying that he was speaking generally about tragedies and not about Thursday's shooting. He then said "Okay how about 'things happen'. Is that better".

Later in the day President Obama was asked a live press conference “how do you react to Governor Bush?

"I don't even think I have to react to that one. I think the American people should hear that and make their own judgments based on the fact that every couple of months we have a mass shooting... They can decide whether they consider that 'stuff' happening."
