After Gilmore received zero percent of votes in the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary he officially suspended his presidential campaign.
Gilmore's released a statement saying that...
"the difficulty of the debate structure combined with the national media coverage of the candidates made it impossible... to continue his campaign for the presidency. Nonetheless, I will continue to express my concerns about the dangers of electing someone who has pledged to continue Obama's disastrous policies, and, I will continue to do everything I can to ensure that our next President is a free enterprise Republican who will restore our nation to greatness and keep our citizens safe."
Gilmore's exit came as a surprise to many whom were unaware that he was even running. This is not surprising since Gilmore only appeared in one debate and that one was on the undercard to boot!
