Honoring The Fallen… Memorial Day 2016

Please take this day to remember and thank the men and women of every race creed and color who gave their lives defending our country, our liberty and our freedom while serving in our United States Armed Forces.

Donald Trump Says Something Stupid #9: Hey, Why Not Insult The Judge Handling Your Lawsuit? This Is Why...

Trump's mouth don't take no days off.

With all the hoopla surrounding Hillary Clintons email-gate most people have forgotten that Donald Trump is fighting a lawsuit that accuses his school venture, Trump University, of misleading thousands of people who paid up to $35,000 for seminars to learn about the billionaire’s real estate investment strategies.

The judge in his case, U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, just ruled that materials including Trump University procedures on dealing with students and the media should be unsealed noting that they had already been published by the media organization Politico. The documents to be released reportedly contain damaging information on how Trump University advised its employees on how to squeeze the most money from it’s “students”.

Trump, being the enormous orange douchebag we know him to be, just couldn't help himself and had to call Judge Curiel out at a rally in San Diego where he bellowed…

I have a judge who is a hater of Donald Trump. A hater. He’s a hater. We’re in front of a very hostile judge. The judge was appointed by Barack Obama,”

Trump then, just for good measure, added that he believed that Curiel...
"happens to be, we believe, Mexican."

Curiel is an American who was born in East Chicago, Indiana, and graduated from the Indiana University School of Law.

For what it’s worth Trump’s big mouth could earn him a sanction for indirect criminal contempt of court.

Fingers crossed.

Donald Trump Says Something Stupid # 8: "You Have To Be Wealthy To Be Great" (VIDEO)

In a speech delivered in Bismarck, North Dakota, the now official GOP nominee and billionaire blowhard told the crowd: "you have to be wealthy in order to be great".

The comment from the Republican presidential nominee came during a speech in North Dakota while touting his economic ideas in a speech on energy.

"There's one more thing that we must do to make America wealthy again, and you have to be wealthy in order to be great, I'm sorry to say,"

Watch here...

So suck on that non-wealthy people of America!

North Carolina Will Now Enforce Anti-Trans Bathroom Law As Trespassing

How much does North Carolina Republicans hate their LGBT community? More than anyone else in the country and their willing to prove it.

After severe backlash North Carolina's GOP is willing to triple down on their potty police patrols by implemented a new law to discriminate against the transgender people of their state.

Gov. Pat McCrory

Republican North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory said this week that the state will enforce HB2, the law passed in March that keeps transgender people from using the public bathroom that aligns with their gender identity, like trespassing.

"We're using trespassing laws that we were using before House Bill 2, we're using that now. But you know, it's just basic privacy rights and that's trespassing and we'll continue to do that just like we were doing long before the Charlotte ordinance. So nothing's really changed in that regard."

This means that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police department will now be empowered to enforce  the HB2 law through indecent exposure, trespassing, and other various criminal laws.

Panty checkers and birth certificate screeners can't be far off now.

Donald Trump Says Something Stupid #7: Energy

In North Dakota at an oil and gas industry conference Donald Trump spouted off a few absolutely insane gems whilst discussing his energy policy.

At the press conference before his prepared speech Donald said these things to reporters...

I am into all types of energy,

Solar is ...

very expensive

And wind is ...

killing all the eagles. You know if you shoot an eagle, kill an eagle, they want to put you in jail for five years. Yet the windmills are killing hundreds and hundreds of eagles.

Without any elaboration Trump said his energy policy would include approving the Keystone XL pipeline ensuring the American people get…

a piece of the profits.

We will make so much money from energy,

We will make so much money we will start to pay down our $19 trillion in debt.

As for the decline in demand for coal because of market forces Tump said...

"You know, all I can do is free up the coal which I'm going to totally do."

Trump also said he would undo the...

tremendous number of rules, regulations … probably 75 percent of which are absolutely terrible.

Those remarks were just from the presser before his energy policy speech. In the main event Trump, while aided with prepared remarks on a teleprompter no less, said these things...

The Environmental Protection Agency is trying to...

impose job-killing cap and trade,” to argue that Hillary Clinton is going to “abolish the Second Amendment” (Don't know where that came from???)

Trump then said President Barack Obama..

has done everything he can to keep us dependent on others. He wants us to be dependent on others.”

In addition, Obama has...

denied millions of Americans access to the energy wealth sitting right under our feet. This is your treasure. You, the American people, are entitled to share in the riches.

FACTThe United States is currently the largest producer of petroleum and natural gas in the world

Trump said Hillary Clinton has ...

declared war on the American worker” and would “shut down the mines.

And that...

If crooked Hillary Clinton is in charge, things will get much worse.

But with Trump as president, he said...

We’ll accomplish complete American energy independence. Complete. Complete.

In addition he would “cancel” the Paris Climate Agreement because...

Foreign bureaucrats are going to be controlling what we’re using and what we’re doing on our land and in our country. No way.

*FACT: Under the Paris agreement every country submits its own (voluntary) plan for curbing emissions.

Trump finished the conference on a high note asking the audience to...

Imagine a world in which our foes and the oil cartels can no longer use energy as a weapon. It’s going to happen if we win. We’re going to win.

Details... Who needs details right! We're gonna WIN! The End.

Donald Trump Says Something Stupid #6: He Will End California's Imaginary Drought By "Opening Up The Water"

At a campaign rally in Fresno, California, Donald Trump denied that the state was currently in a drought, blaming water shortages on environmentalists saying...

"We're going to solve your water problem. You have a water problem that is so insane. It is so ridiculous where they're taking the water and shoving it out to sea,"...there is no drought."

Trump finished his remarks about the imaginary draught by making this promise...

"If I win, believe me, we're going to start opening up the water..."

California is experiencing the effects of a severe and record breaking five-year drought.

Inspector General: Hillary Clinton's Email Practices Violated Record Keeping Rules

The inspector general just concluded its own internal audit of Hillary Clinton’s emailing practices and found that she violated agency policies on record-keeping.

The State Department watchdog concluded that Clinton's use of a private email server broke rules that exist to comply with the Federal Records Act stating….

"Secretary Clinton should have preserved any Federal records she created and received on her personal account by printing and filing those records with the related files in the Office of the Secretary," the report states. "At a minimum, Secretary Clinton should have surrendered all emails dealing with Department business before leaving government service and, because she did not do so, she did not comply with the Department's policies that were implemented in accordance with the Federal Records Act."

The watchdog also...

"found no evidence that the Secretary requested or obtained guidance or approval to conduct official business via a personal email account on her private server."

The report did however mention “many examples of staff using personal email accounts to conduct official business,” including former Secretary of State Colin Powell and former Ambassador to Kenya Jonathan Scott Gration, who served from mid-2011 through mid-2012.

The State’s inspector general’s report concludes was that Clinton didn’t do what she was supposed to, though it also notes widespread email issues across the tenures of five secretaries of state as well as their top staffers.

Brian Fallon

Clinton campaign aid Brian Fallon responded to the report saying…

"The report shows that problems with the State Department's electronic record keeping systems were longstanding and that there was no precedent of someone in her position having a State Department email account until after the arrival of her successor,"

In the end this story will undoubtedly be seen by her detractors as incontrovertible proof that Clinton is untrustworthy and looked upon by her admirers as much adu about nothing.

11 Conservative States File Lawsuit Against Obama Administration Transgender Bathroom Directive

The right wing toilet wars rage on!

As of today 11 Republican controlled states have filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration over the White House directive to make schools accommodate transgender students regarding use of bathrooms.

The states filing the lawsuits are the usual suspects including Texas (lead plaintiff), Alabama, Arizona, Maine, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Georgia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Utah.

The lawsuit declares that the White House has…

conspired to turn workplaces and educational settings across the country into laboratories for a massive social experiment, flouting the democratic process and running roughshod over common sense policies protecting children and basic privacy rights.

There is only one problem the states face with their anti-LGBT lawsuit.

The directive sent out to the states were little more than a list of suggestions or guidelines to help navigate the “trans bathroom” situation. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, the lawsuits lack any standing in court because...

The Supreme Court has made clear that one cannot sue an agency just because they disagree with the agency’s guidance. If these attorneys general disagree with the agency’s interpretation of what the federal ban on sex discrimination means, they can make that argument to the court when it arises in a real case.

In other words this is nothing more than another “political stunt” from conservative states who's only real concern is about losing federal money if they don’t comply with the White House directive and are trying to stop it from being implemented.

Elizabeth Warren Destroys Trump For "Rooting" For The Housing Collapse (VIDEO)

Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) took on Republican bully Donald Trump and cut him to ribbons for openly rooting for the housing collapse that destroyed our economy and the lives of millions just so he could make a quick buck.

In a 2006 Trump University audiobook Trump was asked about the gloomy outlook on our nation's real estate market to which Trump said quite openly that the prospect was actually something he was looking forward to...

I sort of hope that happens because then people like me would go in and buy. If there is a bubble burst, as they call it, you know you can make a lot of money… If you’re in a good cash position — which I’m in a good cash position today — then people like me would go in and buy like crazy.

Warren, who was obviously livid over the comments, said Tuesday night at a Washington, D.C., gala for the Center for Popular Democracy...

What kind of a man does that? Root for people to get thrown out on the street? Root for people to lose their jobs? Root for people to lose their pensions? Root for two little girls in Clark County, Nevada, to end up living in a van? I’ll tell you exactly what kind. A man who cares about no one but himself. A small, insecure money-grubber who doesn’t care who gets hurt, so long as he makes some money off it. What kind of man does that? A man who will never be president of the United States.

Mic drop. Watch here...

Trump retaliated to Senator Warren's withering attack by calling her "Pocahontas" a reference to her native American heritage.

A NEW LOW: Trump Claims The Clinton's Were "Murderers" And Bill Clinton Is A "Rapist"

We have reached a new low. American politics has bottomed out. I didn't think it would be possible to sink any further but that's on me for underestimating Trump's ability to plumb uncharted depths.

In a recent interview with The Washington Post the Republican nominee for the presidency of the United States intimated that both Bill and Hillary Clinton were murderers. The victim, Trump claims, was Vince Foster a longtime friend of the Clintons and deputy White House counsel in the first few months of Bill's presidency.

Trump called the circumstances of Vincent Foster’s death very serious” and very fishy” saying...

He (Foster) had intimate knowledge of what was going on. He knew everything that was going on and then all of a sudden he committed suicide. I don’t bring [Foster] up because I don’t know enough to really discuss it. I will say there are people who continue to bring it up because they think it was absolutely a murder.

The truth of the matter was that Vince Foster was found dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound n July 1993. There were three official investigations into Foster’s death concluded he committed suicide as he suffered from depression but right-wing conspiracy theories continued claiming that the Clintons were involved in Foster’s death.

When Trump was done sliming Hillary he decided to reanimate sex scandals from President Bill Clinton's past and put it into a sleazy video replete with the voices of his accusers Kathleen Willey, Juanita Broaddrick and Monica Lewinsky.

Here is Trump's new ad calling Bill Clinton a rapist...

Bill Clinton was impeached in 1998 on one count of perjury and one of obstruction of justice stemming from his affair with Monica Lewinsky. The two other women's accusations were never investigated and no charges were ever filed.

In the interest of fairness Trump too was accused of rape by his ex-wife. The allegation appeared in a sworn deposition made by Ivana Trump reported in the 1993 book Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump. According to Lost Tycoon, Ms Trump accused him of "rape" after he allegedly attacked her in a "violent assault" The attack was supposedly provoked because Trump blamed Ivana for his "painful" botched scalp reduction surgery to remove a bald spot.

Here is the how Harry Hurt III, the books author, put it...

One night he comes in - in a rage - and starts pulling Ivana’s hair. Then according to her sworn deposition testimony ‘he raped me’. “At this point she is terrified, runs out of the room, runs down the hall to her mother’s room and locks the door behind her. She stays up crying all night. “The next morning, again according to her testimony, she comes creeping out and sees him and he goes ‘did it hurt?’

In addition, according to the author, Ivana also told her “closest confidantes” that her husband had raped her.

"TRUMP IS A FRAUD": Veterans Groups Accuse Trump Of Grifting The Soldiers (UPDATE)

Trump posing during his January veterans' "fundraiser" event

Remember over four months ago when Donald Trump skipped a major GOP debate because Megyan Kelly said mean things to him at the previous debate. He then, instead of attending the debate, held a self aggrandizing televised fundraiser "for the veterans" in order to garner positive press covering up the predominant theory that he was a thin skinned little boy who couldn’t stand being harshly questioned by a grown woman.

At the end of the event, in which Trump named nine big donors (including a million dollars of his own money), Trump proclaimed it a huge success exclaiming.…

We just cracked $6 million, right? Six million.

Days after the event, Trump lauded himself for an event that could “not have been better.” “I did something great for veterans,” he claimed, adding, “You know, as they say when something works out, it was a ten. And I didn’t know it was going to be a ten.

Trump then proceeded to use the $6 million dollar figure as a public relations talking point for himself in the days following the fundraiser as he campaigned for votes in the Republican primary. Trump repeatedly touted the 6 million dollar figure in several TV appearances and at Iowa rallies saying...

At that rally we raised, in one hour, $6 million. Is that good?

Then things started to unravel.

Last month, the Wall Street Journal reported that the promised beneficiaries had apparently received just a “fraction of the promised money.” Trump deflected these criticisms, telling CBS News

I don’t have the final numbers, but the money we raised for veterans has been mostly distributed. We’re looking for some other really worthy places to distribute the final [funds] … But for the most part, it has been distributed. We raised millions of dollars.

Now it has been revealed in a new Washington Post article Trump’s claim that he raised $6.5 million for veterans was a lie.

In the article Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski all but admitted the scam claiming that the fundraiser actually netted about 75 percent of the original estimate with the total coming in at about $4.5 million.

Never one to take blame Trump’s spokesman told the Post the shortfall should be blamed not on Trump but on Trump’s own wealthy acquaintances instead. He said some of them had promised big donations that Trump was counting on when he said he had raised $6 million but Lewandowski said those donors backed out and gave nothing.

There were some individuals who he’d spoken to, who were going to write large checks, [who] for whatever reason . . . didn’t do it. I can’t tell you who.

Lewandowski also said he did not know whether a $1 million pledge from Trump himself was counted as part of the $4.5 million total. He said Trump has given that amount, but he declined to identify any recipients.

The comments appear to be the first acknowledgment — almost four months later — that Trump’s fundraiser had brought in less than the candidate said and interestingly they come one day before Armed Forces Day, the day designated for “citizens to come together and thank our military members for their patriotic service in support of our country.”

The question now is if he had raised even the newly reported 4.5 million where has it gone and why hasn’t it been dispersed. Trump provided no official way for charities to apply for the money. Groups around the country still tried, sending letters and hitting up local veterans-for-Trump leaders.

In recent weeks, when confronted with reports of Trump’s shorting veterans on the amount he promised, he and his campaign have repeatedly declined to give new details about how much they have given away.

Trump said in an interview with The Post this month...

Why should I give you records? I don’t have to give you records.

Paul Rieckhoff, founder of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, said Trump’s refusal to divulge how much of the money he had distributed raised questions about whether the candidate intended the fundraiser primarily as a public-relations effort for himself...

That’s just shady. Right? No matter how you cut it, that’s just shady. If he was going to make it right, a couple of weeks before Memorial Day would be a good time to do it. It behooves him, not just politically but ethically, to come forward and account for this money.

Judy Schaffer of Heroes to Heroes a New Jersey-based group that sends veterans on nondenominational trips to Israel to prevent suicide and promote “spiritual healing.” said…

We haven’t heard anything. We have a waiting list of over 200 veterans. Many of them have already attempted suicide. And it keeps me up at night, not being able to send more people.

Iraq War Veteran and Chairman of, Jon Soltz said...

Donald Trump is a cheap fraud. In a classic fraud move, made himself look good to the public, by lying to the American people, and veterans, about how much he raised for veterans’ groups, when he hid behind them to get out of the GOP debate.  He said he raised $6 million.  Now, when investigated by reporters, he finally admits that he overstated the amount by millions, and never raised what he told people he did. In fact, there may still be groups who are waiting for their check.
We now need to presume that he is lying about how much he claims he has given to veterans over the years, and that’s part of the reason he won’t release his taxes.

Trump is a fraud and a con man and hopefully the Republican's who plan to vote for him realize it before he takes us all down.

*UPDATEAs of May 24th The Washington Post reported that after a very public shaming Donald Trump called James K. Kallstrom, chairman of the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, and informed him he would finally be giving the $1 million he had promised to his organization. It remains unclear whether any other veterans organization has received a donation stemming from Trump's fundraiser since report.

Donald Trump Says Something Stupid #5: No Guns In Schools, Yes Guns In Schools

He spews them out faster than I can write them!

On the Sunday edition of “Fox & Friends” Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump "tried" to clarify his stance on guns in classrooms.

The attempt came after the crazy kids on the curvy couch played him a clip of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton accusing him of pandering to the gun lobby with stances on firearms that are “dangerous,”. In the clip, taken at a Florida event sponsored by the Trayvon Martin Foundation Clinton stated...

"He says that also on his first day in office, he’d mandate that every school in America allow guns in their classrooms. That idea isn’t just way out there. It’s dangerous.

Trump, who's tiny peanut brain obviously only knows attack mode when it comes to being confronted, replied with this unbelievably stupid and indecipherable statement…

"I don't want to have guns in classrooms. Although, in some cases, teachers should have guns in classrooms (Say wha?!?!?!). Things that are going on in our schools are unbelievable. You look at some of our schools, unbelievable what's going on. But I'm not advocating guns in classrooms. But remember, in some cases and a lot of people have made this case, teachers should be able to have guns. Trained teachers should be able to have guns in classrooms."

Wow... Trump contradicted his very first sentence with the following sentence!

In case you were wondering which side of the fence Trump really falls on this subject and whether or not Hillary Clinton's statement is correct the Washington Post’s Fact Checker found that Clinton’s charge was indeed accurate based on Trump’s past promises.

Case in point: In Burlington earlier this year while making the rounds in Vermont Trump said…

"I will get rid of gun-free zones on schools, and -- you have to -- and on military bases. My first day, it gets signed, okay? My first day. There's no more gun-free zones."

In other contradictory Trump news, despite his enthusiasm for abolishing "gun-free zones", several of his own properties prohibit occupants from carrying firearms including his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.

Donald Trump Says Something Stupid #4: Ferguson And Oakland Are More Dangerous Than Iraq

Over the last five weeks New York Times Magazine's Robert Draper has been conducting an exhaustive interview with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

In the piece, published Wednesday, Draper asked the real estate mogul whether he had ever traveled to Iraq to which Trump responded by saying "Never!" with Draper writing that he sounded "horrified by the thought."

Draper then asked Trump what was the most dangerous place he has visited to which he responded, according to the article, by saying...

"Brooklyn," Trump replied, joking. And then, apparently serious, he continued: "There are places in America that are among the most dangerous in the world. You go to places like Oakland. Or Ferguson. The crime numbers are worse. Seriously."

This answer is of course a blatant dog-whistle for the large following of racist supporters Trump enjoys.

As for the truth of Trump's statement: According to the CCSP report, which tracks murder rates in cities with populations of 100,000 or more, there are four American cities on the list of the top 50 most dangerous... And neither Ferguson or Oakland are on it.

Fox News Attacks Obama For Naming The Bison As The National Mammal Because It Replaces The Bald Eagle... Which Is THE NATIONAL BIRD!

FILE UNDER: Obama Derangement Syndrome

Yesterday the crazy kids on Fox & Friends attacked President Obama for naming the bison the national mammal by suggesting that the President was replacing the bald eagle with said bison.

It this were even remotely true I might give the loons at Fox News a little leeway but it's not even close. You see the mighty bison cannot replace the majestic bald eagle as the "National Mammal" because the bald eagle is not a mammal... it's a freaking bird!!!!

But Fox News, who has never been know to let facts get in the way of a good attack piece, pressed on.

They began by inviting guest Al Cecere, president of the American Eagle Foundation, there with an eagle named "Challenger". From there co-host Brian Kilmeade said in introducing the segment....

"The bald eagle may be America's national symbol but now the bison are also being elevated to the same status. President Obama naming the behemoths the national mammal, putting them on par with the bald eagle,"

Co-dunce Steve Doocy then asked the eagle directly...

“How do you feel? Challenger’s been buffaloed,"

After a few minutes of chit chat and eagle facts Doocy lamented...

Have we forgotten why the bald eagle is America’s original symbol of freedom?

Cecere then told the viewers that there’s no threat since the bald eagle has been the national “BIRD” for 234 years and proceeded to explain to the panel the amount of recognition the eagle gets from the Obama administration.

Not having any of that kind of talk Kilmeade interjected...

"Isn't this the same administration that said it's okay to start killing them?"

Before the segment concluded, Cecere reiterated that the bald eagle would retain its status as the country's "premier symbol."

Dullard Kilmeade finish up by interjecting...

"So don't worry, Challenger, you're the still the man... the bird."

The eagle then, in all seriousness, tried really hard to fly the fuck away!

Oklahoma Republicans Pass Bill Making It A Felony To Perform Abortions, Hope To Overturn Roe V. Wade

Oklahoma Republicans have sure been busy this week. Along with legislation declaring a state of emergency over gender neutral bathrooms, filing a measure to begin impeachment proceedings against President Obama they have also passed a bill the state that would make it a felony to perform abortions in the state. I guess there is always time when it comes to taking away a women's right to choose.

Sen. Nathan Dahm

Senate Bill 1552, proposed by Sen. Nathan Dahm (R), not only makes it a felony for doctors to perform abortions but would in addition revoke their medical licenses as well.

Dahm says his real hope is that the bill will lead to the overturn of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, in which the Supreme Court ruled that American women have the right to get abortions.

The bill passed the Senate with a 33-12 vote, with no debate, Tulsa World reports.

The Associated Press reports that the law will be the first of its kind in the nation and would punish physicians with up to three years in prison for performing the procedures.

Earlier in the day the House passed a bill that would require the state Department of Health to develop informational material “for the purpose of achieving an abortion-free society,” but lawmakers didn’t approve any funding for it.

One reason could be that Oklahoma is facing a $1.3 billion budget shortfall, with state agencies like schools, mental health and human services taking a $235 million hit in spending cuts.

Oklahoma Republicans sure seem to have their priorities a little twisted to say the least. Perhaps start thinking about the children that have actually been born?

Donald Trump Says Something Stupid #3: Trump Hopes For Terror Edition (TWEET & VIDEO)

Yesterday, just before 5 am, EgyptAir flight MS804 disappeared somewhere over the the Mediterranean sea killing all 66 people on board (including 3 children) shortly after taking off from Paris, France.

At 6:27 am Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump, instead of sending condolences for those who lost their lives, began pushing terrorism as the cause...

Later in the day Trump took the opportunity to once again push terrorism as he took the stage at a New Jersey campaign event to raise money for Chris Christie's campaign debt. While on the dais Trump, practically screaming, proclaimed...

What just happened about 12 hours ago? A plane got blown out of the sky, and if anybody thinks it wasn’t blown out of the sky, you’re 100 percent wrong, folks, okay!

Watch it here...

It is now 24 hours later and no security agency anywhere has stated that the planes disappearance was due to terrorism and no terrorist group has claimed responsibility.

Whatever the reason for the flights disappearance it is obvious that Trump is ghoulishly hoping terrorism is the cause because in his twisted world that's good news for him and his campaign.

Great hate and sickness indeed.

Oklahoma Republicans Call For A ‘State Of Emergency’ And The Impeachment Of The President Over Fear Of Transgendered Children Using Bathrooms

Today Oklahoma lawmakers passed concurrent resolutions rejecting the federal government’s directive on trans-inclusive restroom access, going so far as to declare a "state of emergency" over the matter.

The first measure, sponsored by state Sen. Brian Bingman (R) and state House Speaker Jeff Hickman (R), restricts students around the state from using restrooms according to their gender identity. Senate Bill 1619 states in part...

It being immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval,

The second measure named Resolution 43, filed by state senator Anthony Sykes and sponsored by Rep. John Bennett (R), calls for the U.S. House of Representatives to issue articles of impeachment against President Obama for the bathroom directive.

Rep. Bennett says of the Obama administration's guidance...

"This directive to schools is not only unlawful, but the breadth of overreach in this instance by the Obama Administration is shocking. We are working on legislation that would protect our citizens by not requiring our kids and women to share a facility with anyone who 'identifies' as a gender that they were not born. We are going to do everything we can to protect our women and children."

Donald Trump Says Something Stupid #2: The Megyn Kelly "Bimbo" Edition

Despite it's softball nature the heavily-promoted interview between Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump got decidedly awkward when Kelly brought up his history of insulting remarks toward women.

In what appeared to be a staged scene in which Trump seemed to have previous knowledge of what was to come the Kelly File host asked about the time he called her a “bimbo” on Twitter.  Trump made light of his online attacks against  Kelly by replying...

Yeah, well, that was a retweet, yeah,

Trump seemed to channel Urkel from Family Matters and interjected…

Did I say that?

Kelly confirmed…

Many times,

Trump then said…

Oh, OK. Excuse me,

Then the two just laughed adorably and all was right with the world… Until

Just when the slate between the two seemed to have been cleared Trump just had to get in one last demeaning and insulting shot at Kelly…

Not the most horrible. Over your life, Megyn, you’ve been called a lot worse, wouldn’t you say? You’ve had a life that’s not been that easy.

WTF!?!? Class all the way. Watch it here...

OREGON & KENTUCKY PRIAMRY RESULTS: Trump Wins, Clinton Wins, Sanders Wins....... Nothing Changes

Last night voters from Oregon and Kentucky took to their local voting establishments to cast ballots for the three remaining candidates.

On the Republican's side no one remains on the scorched earth playing field that was left in Trump's wake thus the contest was anti-climactic at best. Trump won, that is all.

For the Democrats Hilary Clinton squeaked out a very necessary win in Kentucky but fell to Bernie Sanders in the heavily hipster populated Oregon. In any event, everything over but the crying as all but the hardcore Bernie Bros. realize that Sanders is running a zombie campaign (no offense meant) as Clinton needs less than 100 delegates to win the nomination.

Here's how the numbers worked out after the dust settled...

Here is the delegate count as it presently stands...

Donald Trump Says Something Stupid #1: The Kim Jong Un Edition

Today, in an interview with Reuters, Donald Trump said he would be willing to sit down and “speak to” North Korea’s murderous tyrannical dictator Kim Jong Un.

To say that this would be a major shift in U.S. policy toward the isolated nation is an understatement.

Trump, as usual, declined to share details of his plans to deal with North Korea, but did say he was open to a face-to-face meeting with its leader…

I would speak to him, I would have no problem speaking to him,

North Korea is among the most isolated countries in the world and regularly defies the international community by launching test rockets and capturing political prisoners.

Trump’s willingness to negotiate with a pariah state comes on the heels of his offering olive branches to countries such as Russia, while criticizing leaders of traditional allies such as Mexico and Britain.

And so it goes.

Trump Now Says His Tax Returns Are "None Of Your Business!"

A question: If you were running for President on the fact that you are the greatest businessman alive and your financial acumen would "Make America Great Again"... Why not show your taxes?

Perhaps there's something in them that disproves the narrative?

For as long as I can remember when someone was running to be president of the United States releasing their tax returns is, until this year at least, a well established practice.

It started with Nixon, a notorious tax cheat, in 1973 and every party’s nominee since 1976 has released in kind.

Until now.

GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump has declared that he will not be disclosing his tax returns after all because they’re “none of your business!”.

With that in mind let's enjoy a short history of Trump and his tax return promises, dodges and excuses.

The issue of his tax returns has been a contentious subject with Donald Trump for as far back as the year 2000 when he started toying with the idea of running for the presidency. The release of said tax returns only really came to a head when Trump started his infamous “birther” campaign against President Barack Obama. Let's begin there...

  • In 2011 in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos Trump defiantly stated…

Maybe I’m going to do the tax returns when Obama does his birth certificate,

*We all know how that worked out. The certificate got released but Trump’s taxes never saw the light of day.

  • 2012 was the next time Trump's returns hit the radar was when the GOP’s last presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, hesitated to release his returns. Trump told Greta Van Sustren that Romney “was hurt really very badly” by his initial refusal to release his tax returns. He advised Romney to “release them now.” Trump then praised Romney for releasing his returns and said they were “very honorably done.”

  • In 2014, while on an Irish television show, Trump was asked about his presidential run and the release of his taxes to which he replied…

If I decide to run for office, I’ll produce my tax returns, absolutely

  • In February 2015, Trump told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt that he had “no objection” to releasing his returns.

  • In June 2015, The Washington Post reported that Trump would, citing people familiar with his plans, said...

has not ruled out [releasing his tax returns] at some point in the coming months,”
  • The very next day CNN reported that Trump planned to release the tax returns before the first Republican debate on Aug. 6.

  • A few days before Aug. 6, Trump told CBS “Face The Nation” host John Dickerson that he had...

no major problem” disclosing the returns suggested he “may tie them to release of Hillary’s emails,
  • In September of 2015, then Trump unveiled his tax plan, he said he planned to release his tax returns in the...

not-too-distant future,”

  • In early October in 2015, Trump told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos that he was “thinking about” releasing, but again tried to tie his disclosures to the release of Clinton’s emails. An excuse that later fell apart when the State Department began releasing thousands of pages of her emails.

  • On Oct. 15 2015 Trump teased the press by tweeting a photo of himself alongside a huge stack of papers, with the phrase “Signing my tax return...”

I have very big returns, as you know, and I have everything all approved and very beautiful and we’ll be working on that over the next period of time,

  • In late February, nearly a year after promising to release his returns, Trump told host Hugh Hewitt on his radio show that he’d release them...

at some point, probably.”

  • Two days later, Trump added a new wrinkle to his story and said at a CNN debate that he couldn’t release the tax returns because he’s been audited every year for the last 12 years. He claimed after the debate that the IRS had targeted him for being a “strong Christian.

  • At a March 29 town hall CNN’s Anderson Cooper asked Trump So you can offer evidence that you are being audited or have been audited like you say?” to which Trump replied...

A hundred percent. I’ll give you a letter from the biggest firm in Washington that does my work for me.

  • Two days later, Trump’s lawyers’ released a letter dated March 7 that claimed he’s been under “continuous” IRS examination since 2002.

FACT CHECK: There’s no legal reason that Trump can’t release his tax returns even if under audit. According to the IRS, Trump’s excuse is invalid and in February, the agency clarified that...

nothing prevents individuals from sharing their own tax information.
  • Last Friday, Trump campaign surrogate Ben Carson said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that he expected Trump to release them before the election...

If he says he’s going to release them, he’s going to release them. It’ll be at an appropriate time.

  • Then on Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” Trump refused to give a firm date  claiming again that he’d have to wait until after an audit is completed. (refer back to previous "FACT CHECK")

  • Last Tuesday Trump suggested to the AP that voters aren’t interested in the matter, In an interview with the organization Trump revealed that he will not release any of his tax returns before election day saying

There’s nothing to learn from them,

  • By Wednesday night Trump attempted to walk back the statements he made with AP, telling Fox News host Greta van Susteren that he hopes to release his tax returns before the election, but that the IRS audit is preventing him from doing so. “You said you don’t intend to release your tax returns,” van Susteren said.

I didn’t say that,” Trump responded. “I am being audited. ... The answer is hopefully before the election. I will release, and I would like to release.

That brings us to today.

  • During a morning phone interview on Good Morning America, George Stephanopoulos asked Trump, “What is your tax rate?” to which Trump replied…

It’s none of your business.

And there you have it as it stands Saturday, May 14th, 2016.

Want a hint as to why Trump is so hesitant to release his tax returns? Remember when Trump released a two-page summary of assets indicating that the real estate mogul had assets of about $9 billion. (The campaign pegged his net worth in excess of $10 billion the following month when filing an FEC financial disclosure). Tax returns, however, are not as easily manipulated. They would show that Trump is much less wealthy than he claims.

On a final note: Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee, has disclosed her tax returns  stretching back decades including fifteen years of tax returns are available online.
