Fifteen Down Two To Go: “Lyin’ Ted Cruz Makes An Overly Dramatic Exit, Stage Right, Of Course!

Tonight at a rally tonight in Indianapolis, with his decisive loss in the Indiana primaries in the books, Texas Senator Cruz ended his presidential bid. After the last few flailing weeks Cruz has put his campaign for the presidency and himself out of our collective misery.

Ted Cruz suspending his campaign after losing tonight's Indiana primary

Mr. Cruz withdrew his bid in front of a small group of amassed supporters as cries of “Noooooooo!” rose from the crowd...

Together we left it all in the field in Indiana, we gave it everything we got. So with a heavy a heart, but with boundless optimism, for the long term future of our nation, we are suspending our campaign... From the beginning I said I would continue on, as long as there was a viable path. Tonight, I’m sorry to say, it appears that path has been foreclosed.

Although Cruz never mentioned Donald Trump by name his presence loomed large in the room. Trump who soundly bested Cruz, leading to his exit from the race tonight, had proved immune to political gravity and had been largely impervious to any attacks Cruz levied at him.
