Donald Trump Says Something Stupid #10: "He's A Mexican!"

Today in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper Donald Trump continued to insist that Gonzalo Curiel, a federal judge, is “Mexican” and biased against him because he plans to build a wall with Mexico.

As we know from earlier rants Judge Curiel is on Trump's radar because he is handling two lawsuits against Donald’s failed Trump University. Trump is on defense concerning the lawsuits due to the fact that many former employees have recently come out and called the for-profit school a “fraudulent scheme“ that “preyed upon the elderly and uneducated to separate them from their money.”

Last week, after the Judge Curiel ordered the release of embarrassing internal documents exposing Trump’s sleazy tactics Trump went bananas at a rally and called him a “hater” and said he believed the judge was “Mexican.

Despite the criticism he received, for those racist statements Trump doubled-down on the accusations during today’s interview saying…

He’s a Mexican. We’re building a wall between here and Mexico. The answer is, he is giving us very unfair rulings

When Tapper pointed out the judge is American, Trump responded, “But he’s of Mexican heritage.

Trump's insinuation that due to the judge Curiel’s Mexican heritage he is unable to carry out his solemnly sworn duties proves undeniably his lack of basic knowledge about how the legal system works. This insight into Trump's ignorance will be really helpful if you were wondering what benchmarks he would hold judges to when nominating them to serve on the Supreme Court.

Also, won't it be fun under a Trump presidency when criminals will be able to pick their judges and famous racist can force a judge off a case simply by expressing support for racist policies!

With Trump's racist remarks he not only calls into question whether of not Judge Curiel can be trusted to do his job but in addition he calls into question the patriotism of millions of those with Mexican heritage.

It’s worth noting that in the late 1990s, Judge Curiel was a prosecutor going after Mexican drug cartels and as a result of his work in putting a Tijuana drug lord behind bars he was targeted for assassination. As a result of this threat federal marshals put Curiel under 24-hour protection for a year.
