Donald Trump Says Something Stupid #13: Look At My African American Family!

After the rally on Friday in California where Trump offended many when he pointed to a black man in the crowd and said, “Oh, look at my African-American over here” he has now taken to twitter to try to convince anyone who follows him that black people really do love him.

On Saturday morning, one day after the unfortunate statement made at his rally, Trump shared a tweet from a supporter that purported to show a black family who had joined the “#TrumpTrain.”

Knowing a good thing when he sees it Trump only waited three minutes before re-tweeting the image.

Unfortunately for him much like many things concerning Donald Trump it was a phony and a fraud.

Almost instantaneously people began pointing out that the photograph first appeared last year on an article from Cincinnati, Ohio station WCPO about the Midwest Black Family Reunion in August (seen below).

In addition The image is among the first pictures that pop up on Google when you search for “black family.”

After some news agencies did a little digging it has been revealed that the parents in the photograph are Eddie and Vanessa Perry and if you can believe it the family is not on the #TrumpTrain!

Eddie Perry, who lives in Cincinnati says his family was alerted to the post when a friend texted him a screenshot of Trump’s tweet. Perry said the picture of his family that Trump shared was “misleading”, “taken out of context" and that...

When I saw it, I immediately knew it was political propaganda. Why use it without asking for someone’s permission? Why use our image without asking? I’m not saying there aren’t black families who endorse Trump however, this black family didn’t endorse anyone.

The #TrumpTrain has been derailed.
