He insists it’s pronounced “Neh-VAH-da” declaring that “nobody says it the other way”.
The people who actually live in the state pronounce it "Neh-VAD-ah".
Just to be clear “Neh-VAH-da = Wrong" and "Neh-VAD-ah = Right".
But Trump was having none of it. Despite the audience shouting at him the correct way to say Nevada Trump kept up his insistence that he was said right mispronouncing it over and over again even over enunciating it to make the effect worse and more painful to watch.
Trump made the gaffe in a random tangent during a discussion of Nevada's drug problem...
"Heroin overdoses are surging and meth overdoses in Neh-VAH-da... Neh-VAH-da... When I came out here I said nobody says it the other way. It has to be Neh-VAH-da, right? And if you don't say it correctly -- and it didn't happen to me, happened to a friend of mine, he was killed,"
Yeah I didn't mispronounce the name of your home state... It was "a friend". Now hold on while I mangle the name of your state again and again and again.
You would think if he were going to make such a yuge deal about it he would have an interest in actually learning the correct pronunciation.
Here is the painful video of how it went down...

Just for good measure outgoing Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, of Nevada, blasted Trump in a tweet after the cringe-worthy episode...
Good point Harry.
