BREAKING NEWS: Protests Break Out Across The Country As Trump Is Elected President (PICTURES)

Massive demonstrations broke out across the country almost immediately after Donald Trump was pronounced the 45th president of the United States.

Although there were many protests throughout the country the majority took place on the West Coast due to the late hour the election was called in Trump's favor.

The largest protests were staged on the streets of Berkeley, Oakland and Los Angeles.

Those who objected to Trump's rhetoric and the shock of him being elected marched through the streets of the East Bay city with their arms linked together.

Hundreds of University of California students spilled into the streets surrounding the Berkeley campus, chanting "not our president" and toting signs saying "F--k Racism".

In Oakland, where between 60 and 70 protesters gathered in the city's downtown, people burned an effigy of Trump, smashed windows and set several dumpsters on fire.

No arrests were reported.
