One must assume that the respondents rely solely on Donald Trump's twitter feed for their news as that is where he posted his false claim that Clinton only won the  popular vote due to millions of “illegal” votes.

There is of course no evidence supporting Trump’s claim which he apparently borrowed from Alex Jones' conspiracy site InfoWars.

Hillary Clinton's popular vote victory was more than five times larger than Al Gore’s, the last candidate to win the popular vote and lose the Electoral College.
