Trump Played Golf As Four American Soldiers’ Bodies Returned Home From Fatal ISIS Ambush

Eleven days after the murder of four American soldiers at the hands of ISIS in Niger, South Africa Donald Trump has yet to even mention the incident let alone the names of the soldiers he claims he has such respect for.

Trump couldn't even muster a single solitary tweet for the fallen special forces members in the week and a half since a deadly ambush took their lives.

And as the bodies of Staff Sgt. Bryan Black of Washington state, Staff Sgt. Jeremiah Johnson of Ohio, Sgt. La David Johnson of Florida and Staff Sgt. Dustin Wright of Georgia returned home in flag draped coffins Trump was still too busy golfing with Sen. Lindsey Graham to say a word publicly about them.

Trump had plenty of time to tweet about “fake news” and to call the media "disgusting”, brag about the stock market, lash out at late night talk show hosts, attack the NFL anthem kneelers and "Liddle'" Bob Corker.

But nothing for four American soldiers murdered by terrorists overseas.

This as he addressed the “Values Voters Summit” Friday, insisting that his administration had...

made great strides against ISIS, tremendous strides.

Yet even at that venue the four dead soldiers still didn't merit a mention.

Anyone remember the four Americans who lost their lives in the terrorist attack on the American consulate in Benghazi?

Trump surly does as he tweeted sixty-six times about that attack.

He even used one of the dead men's mother to attack Hillary Clinton over Benghazi during the 2016 presidential campaign and went so far as to have her speak at the Republican National Convention.

So why the radio silence over Niger?

Perhaps Trump's silence has something to do with the new information that's come to light which describes details of the chaos and confusion which led to the 12 man team being left on the ground for nearly an hour before help could get to the remote area of southwestern Niger where they were operating.

Perhaps it's because in the end no American helicopters came to their rescue as they had to rely on the French military to rescue the remaining troops.

Perhaps it was the fact that it took an additional 48 hour to find the body of one of the fallen soldiers that was left behind in the confusion.

One thing you can be sure that if this incited had occurred under Preside Obama's watch Trump and the Republicans would be calling for his head.

The silence is deafening.

Military officials claim the incident is under investigation but it remains to be seen if Trump will ever mention the failings that led to the deadliest combat incident since beginning his term.

Larry Flynt Offers $10 Million For The "Smoking Gun" That Leads To Trump's Impeachment CALL: 1-800-251-2714

Larry Flynt, the adult media tycoon and publisher of "Hustler" magazine has posted a $10 million bounty for any dirt on Donald Trump If it leads to his "impeachment and removal from office."

Flynt wrote in a brief post on Twitter...

Flynt also published the bounty in a full-page ad in the Washington Post in am all bold, all-caps text that filled the top third of the page...

$10 MILLION FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE IMPEACHMENT AND REMOVAL FROM OFFICE OF DONALD J. TRUMP.

Here is the full ad...

In the ad Flynt outlined numerous reasons he felt President Trump needed to be removed from office, charging him with everything from...

compromising domestic and foreign policy with his massive conflicts-of-interest global business empire” to “telling hundreds of bald-faced lies” to “gross nepotism and appointment of unqualified persons to high office

This is the second bounty Flynt has place on Trump's head but this on represents a 10-fold increase from the reward Flynt offered last October that he dropped after the now infamous “Access Hollywood” footage was released that featured Trump bragging about groping women genitals.

Then, Flynt said he was after verifiable video footage or audio recordings for use prior to the November 8 election clearly showing Donald Trump engaging in illegal activity or acting in a sexually "demeaning or derogatory manner."

Now as the situation has become more dire Flynt has upped the ante and called for "smoking gun" that will lead to Trump's impeachment.

Trump Has Signed Nearly Twice As Many Executive Orders Than President Obama At This Time In His Term And More Than Any President In The Past 50 Years

On Thursday Donald Trump signed an executive order aimed at destroying the affordable health insurance by crippling the Affordable Care Act.

It was the 49th executive order that Trump has signed since coming into office on January 20.

The last president to sign that many executive orders through October 13 of his first year in office was freaking Lyndon Johnson.

Trump, as you'll remember, was a fierce and outspoken critic of  President Barack Obama's use of executive orders saying he was criminally doing end-run of the legislative branch.

Here is just one of the hundreds of lines Trump trotted out while he was on the campaign trail...

"Obama goes around signing executive orders. He can't even get along with the Democrats. He goes around signing all these executive orders. It's a basic disaster. You can't do it."

Trump portrayed President Obama as an out-of-control executive, trying to push his liberal agenda on the country via executive fiat.

This makes the fact that Obama had signed roughly half of the executive orders at this point in 2009 as Trump has signed so far in 2017 painfully ironic.

Trump's hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Trump Threatens To Blow Up The Iranian Nuclear Deal

Donald Trump threatened to pull the U.S. out of the Iran nuclear agreement Friday, claiming the deal reached by the US, China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom plus Germany in 2015 was not in the national security interest of the United States despite Iran’s longstanding compliance and prevailing arguments by intelligence officials claiming otherwise.

But being the coward he is he didn't terminate the deal outright.

Much like with health care and DACA Trump punted that decision to congress.

In a speech from the White House Trump said...

I am directing my administration to work closely with Congress and our allies to address the deal’s many serious flaws, so that the Iranian regime can never threaten the world with nuclear weapons. However, in the event we are not able to reach a solution working with Congress and our allies, the agreement will be terminated.

The problem with demanding that Congress amend an existing law that changes U.S. commitments under that agreement would alone destroy the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

All this despite the fact that Iran has significantly scaled back its nuclear program and allowed broad access to international inspectors in exchange for sanctions relief from the international community.

The restrictions the six nations reached with Iran is set to expire between 10 and 15 years from when the agreement was implemented.

Trump is now demanding that Congress revise the existing U.S. law so that those restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program be made permanent

Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (Yes, the same Bob Corker who said Trump was setting the US "on the path to WWIII") and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) are said to have already started drafting such legislation, working in coordination with the White House.

What seems to escape Trump and the Republicans in Congress is that the negotiating of additional terms to the Iranian nuclear deal requires the coalition of international partners that signed off on the original plan in the first place... not a unilateral congressional action sole by Republicans.

Trump’s decision and subsequent threat to Congress adds yet another nuclear crisis to the world's tab as at a moment the United States and its allies are facing an even more dire nuclear crisis with North Korea

It is widely believed that Trump's move will only further isolate us from our allies and partners who helped negotiate the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani

After Trump issued his irresponsible and dangerous demands Iran’s Foreign Ministry warned that it is considering making the nuclear agreement null and void if it stops receiving the benefits it was guaranteed under the 2015 agreement.

They then threatened to withdraw from the deal and resume its peaceful nuclear program without any restrictions if the US renege on the promises it made in the original deal.

Well, this all seems to be working out nicely does't it?

It was reported that Trump’s decision to delegate the decision to Congress was only reached after a lengthy interagency argument over his reckless determination to scrap the nuclear deal.

Evidently the only reason Trump relented on letting the Congress undertake the consequential part of the decision making about the nuclear accord’s future was that he was promised that he could deliver a speech in which he could sound very strong and tough on Iran.

POLL: Americans Don’t Want Trump To Sabotage Obamacare... But He's Doing It Anyway

According To a new survey conducted earlier this month by the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation more than 7 in 10 Americans think Donald Trump should be using his position to help fix Obamacare... not to drive it to fail...

The poll, which was taken before Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he would be crippling Obamacare by withholding subsidy payments to health insurance companies, revealed seventy-one percent of Americans believe Trump should be doing all he can to make the health insurance exchanges work opposed to the 21 percent who agreed with his tactic of making the law fail.

The survey also revealed that twice as many, 40 percent, say the actions taken by Trump and his administration are generally “hurting” the ACA marketplaces than the 19 percent that believe his actions are “helping”.

Stunningly even a majority of Republicans believe Trump should befitting Obamacare and not making moves to cause it to fail by a 43 percent to 48 percent.

Trump has undermined the Affordable Care Act throughout his term by cuting off key funds for insurers, slashing the outreach and advertising budget for the ACA, and weakening the individual mandate.

BREAKING NEWS: Trump To Cut Off Billions In Key Payments To Insurers To Sabotage Obamacare

After signing an executive order on Thursday designed to hamstring President Obama's Affordable Care Act (ACA) Donald Trump has just announced plans to halt payments to health insurance companies serving the poorest customers on the Obamacare exchanges.

This move will throw millions of people off of their health coverage plans, make health care costs go up for everyone and cost two hundred billion tax-payer dollars in the process.

Trump has threatened to withhold these funds in the past, valued at $7 billion this year, since his election victory last November.

The threats alone have caused turmoil and uncertainty in the health insurance market, and if he follows through, it promises to send Obamacare into the "death spiral" he and his Republican cohorts have been salivating over for the last seven years.

Trump's end game is the destruction of the law his nemesis President Obama signed in 2010 that has brought the number of uninsured Americans to a historic low.

Despite that Trump has been undermining the ACA and its programs since he took office in January, and he has ramped up his efforts in recent weeks in the aftermath of his failure to get the Affordable Care Act repealed by Congress.

This effort of course includes the executive order Trump signed Thursday directing federal agencies to change regulations to allow insurers to sell policies that exclude people with pre-existing conditions and have offer fewer benefits for longer term than accepted by the Affordable Care Act.

The mere possibility that Trump would refuse to pay money owed to health insurance companies created additional instability in market causing them to raise policy rates exponentially. Now that he has announced that he will be doing just that it should send the markets into the tailspin he has desired.

Insurers have already raised premiums for next year to protect themselves against financial losses if Trump actually reneges on his obligations. With this announcement their fears have been borne out.

The payments Trump plans to end are related to so-called cost-sharing reductions offered to insurance exchange enrollees who earn up to 250 percent of the federal poverty level, which is $30,150 for a single person. These subsidies serve to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for low-income people by shrinking their deductibles, co-payments and the like.

As a result the almost 6 million people, or 57 percent of Obamacare enrollees, who qualified for these subsidies when they enrolled this year will be effected by the price hikes. The very people who can least afford to incur such a cost.

Under the Affordable Care Act the health insurance companies are required to reduce this cost-sharing with the federal government reimbursing them for the cost since exchange plans went live in January 2014.

Now Trump has sabotaged that.

Trump, as it turns out, has the authority to withhold the subsidies because of a lawsuit the United States House of Representatives brought against President Obama in 2014 that claimed he illegally made these payments without an explicit congressional appropriation of the funding.

A federal judge sided with House Republicans last year but allowed Obama to continue paying back insurers while the case went through the appeals process.

But when Trump succeeded President Obama his administration became the defendant and deemed the subsidies unlawful calling it ...

"a bailout of insurance companies through these unlawful payments"

Ironically, cutting off these payments to health insurance companies will actually cost taxpayers because higher premiums mean bigger subsidies and federal spending will rise by almost $200 billion, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

Attorneys general from 17 states and the District of Columbia announced, after Trump's move, that they will be suing him over the discontinuation of the cost-sharing reduction payments.

Congress could address the subsidy payment issue by simply authorizing the spending in legislation but has chosen not to do so.

Let's see if the House of Representatives have the guts to stand up to Trump's craven display of sabotage.

Trump Signs Executive Order In Effort To Destroy The Affordable Care Act

On Thursday Donald Trump signed an order that will kill the Affordable Care Act’s private insurance markets with paralyzing uncertainty as it allows the proliferation of cheaper, less comprehensive plans which would undermine rules of who and what insurers must cover.

The changes represent an aggressive step toward actively destroying Obamacare as Trump and his fellow Republicans have continued to be unsuccessful to achieve those results through legislation alone.

Trump ominously said at a signing ceremony in the Oval Office...

 “Today is only the beginning

The order will primarily affect small businesses and people who buy private coverage on their own, rather than through employers.

Trump's order is meant to entice healthy consumers who don’t expect to have large medical bills and who are frustrated with the high premiums they pay for policies to instead purchase cheap minimal policies.

This would mean comprehensive coverage would become harder and eventually even impossible to find, especially for people with pre-existing conditions.

The endgame being the destruction of the Affordable care Act.

The good news is that the order Trump signed calls for writing new regulations which could test the boundaries of executive authority, prompting legal challenges that could drag on in the courts for years.

But some parts of the order are likely to take effect more quickly like the decision to end a rule that limited short-term insurance plans to no more than three months.

These plans, which are not subject to most of the Affordable Care Act’s rules such as mental health coverage, maternity care, full prescription coverage, would now be allowed to be offered for longer periods of time.

This would leave the side of the insurance market that continues to meet the Affordable Care Act’s standards in trouble as they would have to raise prices due to the loss healthy consumers, whose premiums pay the bills of people with serious medical conditions, to longer, cheaper, less comprehensive policies.

Then there is the lifting of restrictions that would allow insurance companies to exclude some of the ACA’s essential benefits in their plans. They wouldn’t cover as much and be less available to people with the highest medical bills. These policies would be cheaper and likely popular with people in relatively good health again putting a strain on the market to cover older, sicker policy holders.

In addition, if the migration into the less regulated plans was severe, some insurers would give up and abandon markets altogether leaving all of their customers with no source of comprehensive coverage.

Trump’s order also effects the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate, which imposes a financial penalty on people who do not obtain insurance. The mandate, which is anathema to Republicans, is an essential piece of the ACA’s architecture.

This would again put pressure on insurers to raise prices or drop plans for the infirmed.

The Republicans were warned of these consequences when the Brookings Institution and a trade group representing America’s health insurance industry conducted studies that showed these would be the results if any one of the three GOP repeal legislations were to become law.

This executive order signing comes despite the stabilization of insurance markets, even in struggling states, despite the Trump administration efforts to undermine them by threatening to cut off key funds for insurers, slash the outreach and advertising budget for the ACA, and weaken the individual mandate.

As Death Toll In Puerto Rico Reaches 45 Trump Threatens To Pull Aid From It's American Citizens While Texas And Florida Receive Only Promises To "RESTORE, RECOVER And REBUILD"

As the crisis in Puerto Rico grows and the death toll reaches new heights daily Donald Trump felt it was appropriate to threaten to pull FEMA, the Military & First Responders from the storm-ravaged island...

As for Texas and Florida, both of which were decimated by hurricanes as well, they are good to go as Trump has made no threats to pull any aid or funds away from their citizens.

Here, look...

Though it has been 21 days since Maria made landfall 84 percent of people on the island remain without electricity and only 63 percent have drinkable water while many continue to go without housing and basic necessities.

UNRAVELING! Trump Rages: "I Hate Everyone In The White House!"

It has been reported that several people close to Donald Trump are saying that he is “unstable,” “losing a step,” and “unraveling,” according to Gabriel Sherman of Vanity Fair.

Sherman, who spoke to many of Trump's longtime confidantes, says he has noticed that the character of some of the leaks emerging from the White House has shifted and has detected a new level of what he characterizes as "concern."

After speaking with a half dozen prominent Republicans and Trump advisers Sherman characterizes them as describing a White House in crisis as advisers...

"struggle to contain a president who seems to be increasingly unfocused and consumed by dark moods"

Trump’s anger is said to be fueled by his stalled legislative agenda and by his decision last month to back the losing candidate Luther Strange in the Alabama Republican primary.

The sources told Sherman that they were surprised at the degree of Trump's distress over the loss in Alabama, describing it as "a huge blow to his psyche,”. This is no doubt due in large part to the fact the Strange's opponent, Roy Moore, was backed by Trump's fired Chief Strategest Steve Bannon.

According to two sources familiar with the conversation, Trump vented to his longtime security chief, Keith Schiller...

I hate everyone in the White House! There are a few exceptions, but I hate them!

In addition to Trump hating his job two senior Republican officials said Chief of Staff John Kelly is miserable in his job as well and remains only out of a sense of duty and to "keep Trump from making some sort of disastrous decision."

Speculation about Kelly’s future is that he is not long for this administration and that should worry us all.

Another horrifying detail in Sherman's piece describes how a former official even speculated that Kelly and Secretary of Defense James Mattis might have discussed what they would do in the event Trump ordered a nuclear first strike asking...

 “Would they tackle him?

First of all is that an actual option and second just how close to nuclear armageddon are we that they are even discussing this scenario?!?!

Even Trump’s most loyal backers are sowing public doubts as The Washington Post quoted longtime Trump friend Tom Barrack saying he has been “shocked” and “stunned” by Trump’s behavior.

Then there is the report that Gen. Kelly is attempting to physically sequester Trump to limit his intake of upsetting news reports on television and attempts by aides and confidants that might try to relay information that might upset him.

Sherman reported that according to one major G.O.P. donor access to Trump has been cut off, and outside calls to the White House switchboard aren’t put through to the Oval Office.

According to two sources Keith Schiller, the man whom Trump made his "I hate everyone" outburst to, quit his post as security chief last month after Kelly told him he needed permission to speak to Trump and wanted written reports of their conversations.

In addition to his behavior at the White House aides also worry about Trump’s public appearances saying were relieved when Trump declined to agree to appear on the season premiere of 60 Minutes last month...

He’s lost a step. They don’t want him doing adversarial TV interviews,

Instead, they have Trump on a diet of friendly Fox News "interviews" with sycophants the likes of Sean Hannity and Mike Huckabee (whose daughter is Trump’s press secretary).

Sherman reports that advisers are now worried that Trump’s behavior could cause the Cabinet to take extraordinary Constitutional measures to remove him from office via the 25th amendment - the provision by which a majority of the Cabinet can vote to remove the president.

Even pink slipped Chief consultant Steve Bannon has told people he thinks Trump has only a 30 percent chance of making it the full term.

Despite the plethora of vetted sources the White House denies these all of the reporting...

The President’s mood is good and his outlook on the agenda is very positive,

In the immortal words of Grouch Marx... "Who are you going to believe me or your lying eyes?"

BOOM: Trump Asked National Security Leaders For A Tenfold Increase In The US Nuclear Weapon Stockpile

It has been reported that last summer Donald Trump asked a gathering of the nation’s highest-ranking national security leaders to what amounted to a tenfold increase in the U.S. nuclear arsenal.

Officials say Trump’s comments came in response to a briefing slide he was shown that charted the steady reduction of U.S. nuclear weapons since the late 1960s.

When Trump saw the chart's peak at 32 thousand warheads, which occurred during the heigh of the cold war between the US and Russia, he indicated that he wanted a nuclear stockpile like that and not our present level of around four thousand warheads.

Here is a chart that explains what Trump was looking at...

According to the officials Trump's request stunned those present in the room as they tried to explain the legal and practical impediments to a nuclear buildup and how the current military posture is stronger than it was at the height of the buildup.

The July 20 meeting, which included Trump’s advisers, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, was described as a lengthy and sometimes tense.

It was after this meeting that officials who remained behind heard Tillerson say that Trump was a “fucking moron.

Trump responded to the revelatory report with his now infamous refrain of "fake news" Wednesday morning on Twitter...

Trump’s comments shed a new and terrifying light into his state of mind as he escalates the standoff with North Korea over its nuclear ambitions and the confrontation with Iran by threatening to decertify the 2015 nuclear deal with them.

Trump To Slash Pollution Regulations On The Fossil Fuel Industry By Repealing President Obama's Climate Plan

Donald Trump's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) chief Scott Pruitt has announced that he, in accordance with his boss' wishes, will formally propose repealing President Obama’s landmark climate change rule for power plants.

The Clean Power Plan" implemented by Obama in June of 2014 is a key part of the U.S. commitment to reduce emissions under the Paris accord.

But Pruitt, a vehement opponent of the Paris accord and all environmental regulation, announced on Monday that he will sign paperwork on Tuesday to repeal the rule which he argued exceeded the Obama's authority and treated coal communities unfairly.

Pruitt announce his intentions Monday at a Hazard, Ky., mining and construction equipment business exclaiming...

The Clean Power Plan, it wasn’t about regulating to make things regular. It was truly about regulating to pick winners and losers.” adding, “The war on coal is over,

Pruitt's remarks were obviously well received in the heart of Eastern Kentucky’s hard-hit coal country.

FACT CHECK: The coal industry, that employs fewer people (52,000 workers nationally) that the Arby's Restaurant chain and is by far the world's biggest emitters of carbon pollution.

Pruitt framed the rules repeal as a rebuke of what he and Republicans see as Obama's nefarious “war on coal”, an industry which was already dying off due to competition from cheap and plentiful natural gas.

Environmentalist and Democrats have pledged to save the Clean Power Plan which they believe, along with the nearly 200 countries who signed the Paris Climate Accord, is the most significant U.S. policy to reduce carbon emissions that has ever been put into place.

The rule was the centerpiece of Obama’s strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the electricity sector by 32 percent by 2030.

The Trump administration, which from day one has battled to remove pollution regulations on the fossil fuel industry, has made it clear that he wishes to replace the rule with a weaker, more industry-friendly standard. These efforts include putting on hold and/or repealing dozens of regulations including their intention to leave the international Paris climate deal completely.

The pain from the rule's repeal will be felt not only environmentally but economically as Obama’s EPA projected that the Clean Power Plan would have not only limited carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides emissions and reduce up to 3,600 pollution-related premature deaths every year but would have created a net economic benefit of $26 billion to $45 billion.

You can see those statistics HERE at the website of the Union of Concerned Scientists as Trump's EPA has conveniently taken all that information off of their government website...

FAKE NEWS: Pence's Football Stadium Walkout Was A Divisive Pre-Planned Political Stunt

Nice touch having the man in uniform standing right next to Pence. Remember: It's all about the optics!

Earlier today Vice President Mike Pence walked out of a Colts-49ers football game after several players from the San Francisco 49ers took a knee while the national anthem was being played.

Apparently the sight of the players expressing their first amendment protected right to protest racial injustice in America was just too much of Pence to bear...

After it made the news that Pence had walked out of the game Donald Trump tweeted that he had beforehand asked his VP to leave if "any players kneeled" during the anthem and praised him for doing so...

Being a loyal soldier Pence followed his boss' directions and left the stadium in obvious disgust.

Here's the problem.... It was all staged.

A craven political stunt meant to keep this made up contrived controversy alive as a means to distract from the overwhelming failure of Trump's tenure in office and the ever tightening noose that is the Mueller Russia investigation.

The dead giveaway that this was a setup is the fact that it is well known that the San Francisco 49ers players have consistently knelt during the anthem at every game for over a year now and even announced publicly that they would be doing so at today's game.

Another clue was that Pence had his pool reporters wait in their vans to save them the time and trouble of walking into the stadium he knew he was going to be leaving early.

Then there is the fact that Pence had not attended a a game of his beloved hometown team, the Indianapolis Colts, in over three years. Did they think we would believe Pence just decided to take in a game on a whim?

In any event the real outrage wasn't the kneeling payers but instead the estimated $242,500 it cost the taxpayers to pull this stunt!!!!

To top the whole mess off Pence, immediately upon leaving the game, hopped a plane to Los Angeles to attend a high priced fund raiser.

In any event we will be sure to stay tuned to see what happens next in this over budget nightmare of a reality show that can't get canceled soon enough.

THE TRUMP ECONOMY: The U.S. Economy Loses Jobs For The First Time In Seven Years!

U.S. lost 33,000 jobs in September, the Labor Department said Friday

This marks the first time in seven years that the economy actually lost jobs breaking the record setting 83 month job creation streak.

The unemployment rate dropped to 4.2 percent, from 4.4 percent the month before. That is the lowest level since February 2001. As it turns out the rate fell because it was calculated with a separate survey of households which means that the survey counted people as employed even if they were temporarily off work because of the storms (#cheating)

The sharp employment decline came in food services and drinking places and below-trend growth in some other industries which some are speculating is due to the impact of Hurricanes Irma and Harvey.

Economists had been expecting about 80,000 jobs to be added.

The two storms caused Southeast businesses to shut their doors which left many people temporarily out of work= causing slower job growth in some industries.

Yet despite the many weather related incidents that occurred during President Obama's tenure there were no posted monthly job losses in the 83 month streak not even during 2012's hurricane Sandy.

The Trump administration though said we should...

"Watch for revisions in the coming months. A very similar report occurred in September 2005 following Hurricane Katrina, where job losses were later reversed by revisions and the economy ultimately created jobs."

Other notable stats from the Labor Department report included...

• Health care added 23,000 jobs, similar to its monthly average this year.

• Professional and business services added a below-trend 13,000 jobs.

• Hourly workers who couldn't work and missed a paycheck were counted as not working, which lowered September's job totals.

In good news/bad news Auto sales, according to Autodata Corp., which had been lackluster this year, jumped 6.1 percent to more than 1.5 million in September from a year ago as Americans began to replace cars destroyed by the storms.

Some economists are hopeful that job growth will rebound in the coming months as businesses in the U.S. states affected by the hurricanes reopen and construction companies ramp up repair and renovation work.

House Passes 20-Week Abortion Ban Promising Prison Terms For Offenders

Last week the House passed a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks promising stiff penalties for those who break the law should it pass.

The bill, sponsored by Republican Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.), would make it a crime to perform or attempt an abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy, with the possibility of up to five years in prison for offenders.

The measure, passed heavily along party lines, 237-189 with Republicans making up the majority of the "yes" votes as one would expect.

The bill was named the "Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act" as it’s based on the junk science that a fetus at 20 weeks’ gestation can feel pain.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), the House majority leader, in a statement last month....

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act will protect the voiceless, the vulnerable, and the marginalized. It will protect those children who science has proven can feel pain.

Real Science, on the other hand, shows that fetuses cannot feel pain until well after 20 weeks.

Pro-choice advocates have pointed out that 20-week bans at the state level have harmed women by forcing them to travel to another state, often at great expense, to get the care they seek and will ultimately spread dangerous misinformation.

On the bright side Republicans have stipulated in their bill that they will allow exceptions in cases of rape, incest or to save the life of the woman and wouldn't penalize women for seeking to get abortions after 20 weeks.

I guess their scientists have found that those fetuses don't feel pain.

Donald Trump, who has promised to sign the bill if it passes, released a statement saying that he...

"strongly supports" the bill and "applauds the House of Representatives for continuing its efforts to secure critical pro-life protections."

Trump was famously "very pro-choice" until he decided to run as a Republican in the 2016 presidential race.

Trump Just Made It Legal For Employers To Opt Out Of Including Birth Control In Their Health Insurance Plans For Women

Donald Trump just issued a new rule Friday that allows all employers to opt out of including birth control in their health insurance plans for any “sincerely held” moral or religious belief that person or company might subscribe to.

The new regulations, which take effect immediately, will roll back the Obama-era requirement that guaranteed contraception coverage at no cost to 62 million women.

The Affordable Care Act deemed contraception an essential part of women’s preventive health care for the first time in history, requiring that it be covered under most insurance plans, along with prenatal care, breast exams and well-woman visits.

The laughable reasoning behind the move, according to the Trump administration, is that requiring insurance plans to cover birth control imposes a “substantial burden” to the free exercise of religion guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, and could promote “risky sexual behavior” among adolescents.

The reason this excuse is laughable is that the birth control mandate only compelled for-profit employers to cover the full range of contraceptives while it completely exempted churches and nonprofit religious organizations.

In any event the Trump administration has now made it possible for any employer or for-profit company, regardless of whether they are religious or not, to refuse to include the coverage in their health insurance plans for moral reasons.

This could mean hundreds of thousands of women in the United States will once again have to pay out of pocket for birth control.

Women’s health groups have argued that the policy, crafted and supported by anti-choice activists, will have the opposite of its intended effect.

Case in point:

Before the law took effect in 2012, one in three women struggled to afford her birth control prescription each month. The preventive health benefit while saving women $1.4 billion on birth control in the first year it went into effect also contributed to an all-time low in unintended pregnancy and the lowest U.S. abortion rate since the procedure became legal in 1973.

It would be here where the term "win-win" would wholeheartedly apply.

But the religious conservatives, whom the Trump administration kowtow to, oppose birth control coverage and believe many forms of contraception, including the IUD and the morning-after pill, are akin to abortion.

Apparently logic has no place in this debate.

According to the Center for American Progress, 45 companies have already applied for exemptions to the birth control rule, more than half of which are for-profit companies.

Here is where you would aptly apply the term lose-lose.

Already legal groups such as the National Women’s Law Center, the American Civil Liberties Union and even the entire state of California have indicated that they will sue the Trump administration for the new regulation on the grounds that it discriminates against women by singling out a women’s health benefit thus violating equal protection laws.

Trump's Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin Costs Taxpayers $811,800 For 7 Flights On Military Planes

Since March Donald Trump's pick for Treasury Secretary, Steve Mnuchin, has racked up the American taxpayers a tab of $811,800 for travel aboard military aircraft.

The news comes one week after Trump's Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price had to resign from office due to his frequent use of chartered and military flights that cost taxpayers over $1 million. Five of those chartered flights occurred during the same week and were used for domestic travel.

Details of Mnuchin’s military aircraft travel are similarly lavish.

Here is a list of the seven flight in question and their costs...

1) To London and Berlin on March 15-18, 2017 at a cost of $301,1672.

2) To Bari, Italy on May 11-14, 2017 at a cost of $314,4423.

3) To Ottawa, Canada on June 9, 2017 at a cost of $16,3504.

4) To Miami on June 15, 2017 at a cost of $43,7255.

5) To New York City on August 15, 2017 at a cost of $15,1126.

6) To Louisville and Fort Knox, Kentucky on August 21 at a cost of $26,9007.

7) To Parkersburg, West Virginia and Las Vegas on August 28-29, 2017 at a cost of $94,100

Yet according to an official government inquiry Mnuchin broke no laws as all Cabinet members travel aboard military aircraft is approved by the White House on a case-by-case basis and apparently it is sometimes necessary for Cabinet members dealing with national security to travel this way.

Mnuchin's explanation for needing military planes to jetset across the wide world with his wife was that he required a classified telephone to engage conversations with other cabinet members at all times.

Still, Rich Delmar, the Treasury’s Office of the Inspector General found that Mnuchin’s use of military aircraft on seven official trips broke no laws but politely asked the him to provide more justifications for such travel in the future...

I recommend that the OIG advise that future requests be ready to justify government air in greater detail, especially regarding cost comparisons and needs for security and other special factors,

Hey, get off Mnuchin's back Inspector General tight ass!

A screenshot from Louise Linton’s Instagram which has since been removed (click to enlarge)

Mnuchin’s travel habits came under official scrutiny in August after his wife, Louise Linton, posted a photograph to Instagram highlighting the luxury designers she was wearing as the couple descended from a government plane they took in the aforementioned flight to Kentucky to look at the solar eclipse from Fort Knox. It was rumored that the couple were given a special tour of all the gold beforehand.

Mnuchin, a multimillionaire and former Goldman Sachs executive, made a large portion of his fortune tricking MILLIONS of homeowners into defaulting on their loans so he could foreclose on them earning him the title of "The Foreclosure King"

The Trump Administration Reverses Policy That Protects Transgender Employees From Workplace Discrimination

The Trump administration has reversed a federal government policy that said transgender workers were protected from discrimination under a 1964 civil rights law, according to a memo sent to agency heads and US attorneys.

Title VII of the landmark 1964 federal law states that employers cannot discriminate against someone...

"because of such individual's race, color, religion, sex, or national origin"

The policy which was written and implemented in December 2014 under former President Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder when he issued a memo stating that Title VII protections extend to transgender individuals.

But in a memo sent by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to U.S. attorneys and other top department officials across the country asserts otherwise...

"Although federal law, including Title VII, provides various protections to transgender individuals, Title VII does not prohibit discrimination based on gender identity per se. As a law enforcement agency, the Department of Justice must interpret Title VII as written by Congress…. Therefore, as of the date of this memorandum, which hereby withdraws the December 15, 2014, memorandum, the Department of Justice will take that position in all pending and future matters."

In a statement Thursday, a Justice Department spokesperson explained what the Trump administration would like the public to believe is their reason behind the move...

"The Department of Justice cannot expand the law beyond what Congress has provided. Unfortunately, the last administration abandoned that fundamental principle, which necessitated [the] action."

This reversal comes mere months after the Donald Trump first announced a ban on transgender individuals from serving in the military and  AG Sessions withdrawal of his predecessor's guidance on protections for transgender students in public schools that allowed them to use bathrooms corresponding with their gender identity.

Bit by bit Trump is reversing all the social progress we had made in the last decade. We are slowly but surely devolving.

Trump Administration Votes Against U.N. Resolution Condemning Death Penalty for Homosexuals

Last week, when no one was paying attention, the United Nations’ Human Rights Council voted 27-13 in favor of a measure demanding that countries reconsider the death penalty as a punishment for same-sex relations.

The Trump Administration was included in the 13 that voted not to back the resolution.

In voting "no" on the resolution the US joined Botswana, Burundi, Egypt, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, China, India, Iraq, Japan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

FACT CHECK: According to the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association there are currently six countries (actually eight, if the parts of Iraq and Syria occupied by ISIS are included) in which the death penalty is implemented for same-sex relations, and an additional five in which capital punishment is technically permitted in those cases but not invoked.

The resolution specifically condemned the imposition of the death penalty when used as...

a sanction for specific forms of conduct, such as apostasy, blasphemy, adultery and consensual same-sex relations.

The UN Ambassador Nikki Haley said her delegation didn’t vote in favor of the death penalty because the Trump administration felt the measure was in opposition to the death penalty in general, and as we all know the U.S. still loves it's death penalty.

That being said the measure does not condemn the death penalty in all circumstances but instead recommends...

“aiming at the abolition of the death penalty” to “consider doing so.

These provisions were put in so even a nation that utilizes the death penalty, like the United States, could have signed off on it.

After being called out for America's "no" vote Haley tried to throw a straw man into the mix claiming in a tweet that it was...

the same US vote that took place under the Obama admin

This was a lie.

While the Obama administration did vote on as "similar" resolution in the past the uses of death penalty for homosexuality or the transgendered was never mentioned in those previous measures as those votes were focused on the death penalty more generally.

So Trump, who said he would be "a friend" to the LGBTQ community, essentially took the side of governments who believe the people who engage in same sex relations deserve to be put to death.

The backlash against the vote has been swift.

Ty Cobb, of the Human Rights Campaign, said the Trump administration showed a “blatant disregard” for the lives of homosexuals around the globe...

Ambassador Haley has failed the LGBTQ community by not standing up against the barbaric use of the death penalty to punish individuals in same-sex relationships,

Susan Rice, ambassador to the UN under President Obama, said...

shame on US!

Shame on us indeed.

Trump Spoke In Las Vegas After The Deadliest Shooting In American History. He Read Exclusively From Index Cards And Never Once Mentioned Guns (VIDEO)

Today Donald Trump visited Las Vegas and read words prepared for him by his staff in response to the deadliest shooting to occur in US history.

He praised first responders and the bravery of everyday Americans but did not mention guns or the gun violence that take their lives every day across this country let alone in Las vegas on that horrible night. He wouldn't even answer questions about the subject when asked about it by the press.

Here is Trump's "speech" in which he read directly and solely off of cue cards so much so that he barely looked up from the podium where they resided...

You can really feel the empathy coming off those 3x5 index cards.

All smiles in Vegas!

F**KING MORON: Secretary of State Rex Tillerson Reportedly Called Trump A "F**king Moron" And Threatened To Quit His Post

According to senior administration officials Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is said to have called Donald Trump a “fucking moron,” after he imparted some particularly inane suggestions during a meeting with members of his national security team.

In addition Tillerson was on the verge of resigning this past summer amid mounting policy disputes and clashes with the White House, said the same three administration officials to NBC News.

The allegations that Tillerson openly disparaged Trump as a “fucking moron,” came after a July 20 meeting at the Pentagon with members of Trump’s national security team and Cabinet officials.

Tillerson's offending statement came after after a two-hour long meeting in a secure room at the Pentagon called "The Tank". During that meeting, while discussing Afghanistan policy, Trump suggesting he might fire the top U.S. commander of the war and then comparing the decision-making process on troop levels to the renovation of a high-end New York restaurant, according to participants in the meeting.

Understandably Tillerson lost it after Trump left the room.

It is still unclear whether Trump was told of Tillerson’s outburst.

This would not be the final breaking point for the Secretary of State.

The boiling point for Tillerson was reached in late July when Donald Trump delivered his highly criticized off the rails speech to the Boy Scouts of America, an organization Tillerson once the president of.

Tillerson, who was in Texas for his son’s wedding when Trump addressed the Boy Scouts threatened not to return to Washington after seeing Trump's jamboree antics, according to three people with direct knowledge of the threats.

Officials said that the Trump administration, which was engaged in a series of high-level firings and resignations, were terrified of the fallout from a Cabinet secretary of Tillerson's stature departure within Trump's first term.

So eventually after Tillerson returned to Washington Vice President Mike Pence arranged a meeting with him, according to three officials to give him a “pep talk,” to figure out how to move forward within Trump’s "policy framework". Pence supposedly spoke to Tillerson about being respectful of Trump while in meetings and out in public, urging that "any disagreements be sorted out privately"... Just like Trump does (eye-roll).

Much like Tilerson's outburst after "the Tank" meeting it is unknown if Trump was ever briefed on Tillerson’s plan to resign.

Despite the whole mishegoss between the two men Trump still seemed determined to undercut and undermine his Secretary of State at every turn.

The two clashed over a series of key foreign policy issues over the summer, including Iran and Qatar, when Trump publicly undermined Tillerson in June over a dispute between Qatar and other Persian Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Tillerson had called on the countries to ease their blockade of Qatar, yet hours later Trump said the Saudi-led effort was necessary.

Then in August, Trump was furious with Tillerson over his response to the racially charged and deadly violence in Charlottesville, Virginia when Trump had said publicly that white nationalists and neo-Nazi sympathizers shared blame for violence with those who came out to protest them. In an appearance on Fox News Tillerson said “The president speaks for himself,” when he was asked about Trump’s comments. An angry Trump was said to have "addressed" the issue with Tillerson in a meeting the next day.

And just this weekend, tensions again spilled out into the open when Trump openly mocked Tillerson's handling of the crisis with North Korea when Tillerson said that the U.S. was attempting diplomatic talks with North Korea.

Trump quickly took the opposite position, writing on Twitter

Just for good measure Trump added in a second tweet...

But today all seemed peaceful in Trump's little kingdom.

After the NBC "fucking moron" story came out as if by magic Tillerson, in an unscheduled statement to reporters, directly addressed that version of events, saying...

"I have never considered leaving this post"

But when asked about the incendiary statement Tillerson did not deny calling the president a "fucking moron," declining to address that remark...

"I'm not going to deal with petty stuff like that."

Later in the day when Trump was asked about Tillerson's remarks he said it was fake news...

"It was fake news. It was a totally phony story. Thank you very much. It was made up. It was made up by NBC. They just made it up. Thank you all."

Trump added that he had...

"Total confidence in Rex. I have total confidence. Thank you very much, everybody"

What a fucking moron.

Trump Visits Hurricane Ravaged Puerto Rico: Praises Himself, Blames Puerto Ricans And Throws Rolls Of Paper Towels At Survivors

Nearly two weeks after Hurricane Maria decimated the island of Puerto Rico Donald Trump finally made his way down to the ravaged US territory.

While there he met with local leaders and federal responders shortly after landing at an Air Force base in Carolina, Puerto Rico, where he took the opportunity to congratulate himself and his administration's response to the disaster...

"This has been the toughest one. This is a Category 5 (actually a category 4), which few people have ever heard of. It hit land, and boy did it hit land. I want to thank you and thank Elaine. Fantastic acting secretary. Elaine Duke has been incredible. Tom Bossert here someplace. Great job. To all of my people and Gen. Buchanan, who got here a few days ago. No doubt about it. You are a general. No games. You have done a fantastic job. The whole team has been amazing"

After that bit of puffery was out of the way Trump deemed it was time to let Puerto Rico know that they were mostly to blame for their predicament...

"I hate to tell you, Puerto Rico, but you are throwing our budget out of whack. We spent a lot of money on Puerto Rico, and that's fine. We saved a lot of lives."

Following that uncomfortable exchange Trump said the storm hadn't been a “real catastrophe” like Hurricane Katrina and then compared the "16 people" who had died from the storm to the "thousands" who he said died in New Orleans in 2005.

If you look at the — every death is a horror, but if you look at a real catastrophe like Katrina and you look at the tremendous hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people that died and what happened here with a storm that was just totally overbearing. No one has ever seen anything like that."

Trump then asked Gov. Ricardo Rosselló, who was seated next to him...

"What is your death count?"

The Governor responded "Sixteen," to which Trump asked "Sixteen certified," to which Rosselló nodded in affirmation.

Trump then told those in attendance...

"You can be very proud of all of your people and all of our people working together. 16 versus literally thousands of people. You can be very proud.”

FACT CHECK: The death toll actually sits at 34 at this time and is expected to rise as parts of the island are still not accessible to the authorities.

After the 13 minute news conference Trump met with hurricane Maria victims. He ended a conversation with one family by telling them “have a good time”...

Trump then made his way to a shelter in one of the island's churches where he proceeded to hand out supplies in front pool photographers. It was at that time that he thought it would be great fun to throw paper towels at suffering survivors like some kind of carnival game...

Good time indeed.

After Trump felt he had praised himself enough and gotten the necessary photo ops he left Puerto Rico more than an hour ahead of his scheduled departure time. According to the official White House schedule Trump was originally slated to leave the island at 5:05 But by 3:54 Air Force One was “wheels up” and on its way back to civilization.

The Deadliest Mass Shooting In US History: 59 Dead, 527 Injured In Las Vegas Concert Massacre (18 IMAGES)

On Sunday night a shooter opened fire on concertgoers from a hotel room in Las Vegas killing at least 59 people and leaving more than 500 wounded in the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

The gunman began shooting from two windows on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino just after 10 p.m. local time Sunday evening, police said.

Stephen Paddock

Police have identified Stephen Paddock as the gunman.

A SWAT team found Paddock dead in his hotel room and believe he killed himself.

Police recovered 23 guns from his Las Vegas hotel room.

He had been staying in the room since Sept. 28.

Paddock apparently had smashed out two windows to increase his range of targets.

In Paddock's car in the hotel parking lot authorities found an additional 1600 rounds of ammunition and 50 pounds of explosives.

At Paddock's home, in a retirement community in Mesquite, Nevada, they recovered another 18 firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition and explosives.

33 of Padock's guns were acquired in the last year.

FBI released a statement that the bureau had found no connection with an international terrorist group.

The motive was still under investigation.

Paddock had no criminal record beyond a routine citation several years ago that was handled in court.

Paddock was a licensed hunter and had a license to fly a small plane, records show.

Paddock's father was on the FBI's 10 most-wanted fugitives list in 1968 after escaping from a Texas prison where he was serving time for bank robbery.

Here are some of the horrific images from Sunday night...
