DAMAGE CONTROL! Trump Takes To The Twitter Machine After Report Confirms Putin Hacked US Elections For Him. Sad! (TWEETS)

After the intelligence committee dropped their bombshell report that Putin directly ordered the hacking of the US elections in order to help Trump the President-elect's and his bullshit squad immediately went into damage control mode!

Trump, knowing it would be bad, started spinning days before the report was released and has continued since.

Here are some of the many examples of Trump trying to obfuscate, misdirect, blame and generally muddy the waters in order to get out from underneath the news that Russia helped him get illegitimately elected.

First...

The President-elect told The New York Times, hours before his briefing with intelligence officials was scheduled that people should instead be looking at the past breach of computers at the Office of Personnel Management. Ultimately decrying that had "won more counties in the election than Ronald Reagan" and that the intelligence report was a "political witch hunt"...

"China, relatively recently, hacked 20 million government names, How come nobody even talks about that? This is a political witch hunt."

I know it's technically not twitter but it's under 140 characters right?

Then at 7:24pm the night before his meeting with intelligence officials Trump, in an effort to misdirect from the real story, tweeted out that he would demand that Congress investigate the source of an NBC News report that showed that senior Russian officials celebrated after Trump’s election victory...

Then the next morning, before the meeting, he still tried to get this story to make headlines...

Incidentally Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, wasted no time questioning Trump’s priorities...

FACT CHECK: No one “gave” NBC a top-secret report and as the NBC story notes, the official quoted by the network never even saw a copy of the intelligence report; the source just repeated to NBC what someone had said about its findings.

Then it was time that Donald be sat down and force fed the intelligence agencies conclusion that Putin directed the hacking of our US elections to help him get elected. I imagine it went something like this...

Then even after Trump met with top intelligence officials, who gave him the unadulterated unclassified top secret report on the role Russia played in cyberattacking the election he still wouldn't admit the roll they played in getting him elected. So with the NBC story going no where Trump had his team release a statement in which several entities (including "people") were listed that could have been behind the theft and release of the thousands of hacked emails... stopping short of singling out Vladimir Putin and or Russia of course...

While Russia, China, other countries, outside groups and people are consistently trying to break through the cyber infrastructure of our governmental institutions, businesses and organizations including the Democrat [sic] National Committee, there was absolutely no effect on the outcome of the election including the fact that there was no tampering whatsoever with voting machines,

Then the blame game commenced. Trump today once again downplayed Russia’s influence in the 2016 presidential election and instead claimed that Democrats were only focusing on the hacking because they were “embarrassed” by their performance in November and that essentially they were to blame for the whole thing anyway...

First, late on Friday night, Trump tweeted...

Then he tried again on Saturday morning...

After that Trump thought he'd try to downplay Russia’s influence in a Saturday morning tweet (posted minutes before the previous tweet)...

On Saturday afternoon Trump thought he might try tweeting that the hacking of our elections wasn't such a bad thing at all and warmer relations with Russia would be totes awesome! Trump attempted this tactic for exactly 19 minuets...

Seeing how this is early on a Saturday night and we have the Sunday news shows coming up I am positive we will be updating this damage control effort throughout the remainder of the weekend.

Stay tuned!
