Donald Trump Says Something Stupid #66: Claimed His Inauguration Would Be "Record-Setting"... It Wasn't

If we know one thing about the baby handed Donald Trump it's that size matters... So this is gonna' hurt.

On December 16th Trump tweeted out...

A few weeks after that Donald Trump told The New York Times his inauguration would be...

unbelievable, perhaps record-setting turnout.”

Then on on January 14th Trump tweeted...

So let's break it down. If Trump were to have a record-setting turnout he would have had to have drawn more that Barack Obama’s did at his first inauguration in 2009. The crowd on that Day surpassed an estimated 1.8 million people... in 28-degree weather!

Aerial shots taken during both inaugural events show a much smaller audience for Trump's inauguration than President Obama garnered for his 2009 ceremony.

The belief is that the minuscule size of the crowd is most likely due to the fact that Donald Trump approval rating stands at 32 percent. The lowest in modern history.

For comparison, the "Women’s March on Washington" which is set to take place on today in protest of Donald Trump is estimated to top 300,000 people.
