Today Martin Luther King Day is enjoying it's 31st anniversary.

It would have marked the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s 88th birthday

This day that celebrates the life of Martin Luther King is a federal holiday, passed by Congress in 1983 and held on the third Monday of January. It pays tribute the brave life and world changing achievements of Dr. King, one of the most, if not the most, influential American civil rights leader.

Tomorrow the nation will commemorate the civil rights leader’s life with marches, community service projects and educational events.
