Price Tag For Trump's Inauguration Is Estimated To Break A Record $200 Million

Donald Trump's inauguration price tag stands at an estimated $200 million. That number, if it holds, will break the record for inaugural costs and may boast nearly double the private funds raised for the most recent record.

The Library of Congress has compiled an accounting of the private expenses from inaugurations over the past few decades. Several reports have suggested Donald Trump’s fundraising committee has raised more than $100 million, which would be nearly double the previous record, set by Barack Obama’s first-term inaugural, in 2009.

In comparison with Trump's $200 million dollar price tag George W. Bush’s second inauguration, in 2005, was estimated to have cost $158 million total and President Barack Obama’s first, in 2009, was estimated at $170 million.

But remember, unlike Trump's inauguration, those events actually had people performing at them and actual people attending them as well.
