Neil Gorsuch made the comments while in a meeting with Sen. Richard Blumenthal when he was asked about Trump's attacks on Twitter and in speeches in which he called a federal judge who blocked his Muslim Ban a "so-called judge."
Gorsuch was also said to be unhappy about Trump's suggestion that people should blame the judge and the judiciary if there were a terrorist attack carried out by an immigrant.
When asked about Blumenthal's statement a Gorsuch spokesman confirmed the comments were made during the Wednesday afternoon meeting, when he was asked about the "so-called judge" line.
After the revelation of Gorsuch's displeasure with Trump's statements went public Sen. Blumenthal told reporters...
“My strong hope is that he will be more vehement publicly. He certainly expressed to me that he is disheartened by the demoralizing and abhorrent comments made by President Trump about the judiciary, but I will be asking for more specific and forthcoming responses to those kinds of questions before I determine how I will vote.”
It will be interesting to see in the next few days how Trump will react to his Supreme Court nominee pick publicly disagreeing with him a mere eight days after he nominated him.
