Women Take To The Streets Across The Globe To Show Their Power On "A Day Without Women"! (46 PICTURES)

Today, which is International Women’s Day, feminist activists called on women in the United States and in 35 different countries to stand united in a day-long general strike known as the “Day Without A Woman.”

Across the country, women took to social media, local rallies, marches and events to highlight the value of women’s contributions to society.

The marching orders were easy...

Wear RED in solidarity with all women (this red can be worn in a private or public way, i.e. red socks count too!). 
If it’s safe for you, print and wear the MomsRising #KeepMarching paper button on your clothing 
Avoid spending money (except at small, women- and minority-owned businesses that support gender, racial, and economic equity/A Day Without a Woman).
Women, if possible and safe for you, do not do paid or unpaid work.
