SURPRISE! Trump Loves China Now, No Longer Believes It Is A "Currency Manipulator" (TWEETS)

Donald Trump, in a complete 180, no longer believes China manipulates its currency. This is a night and day shift from the position he held as little as a week and a half ago.

This seismic shift for Trump has taken place seemingly overnight despite his taking every chance he could throughout his presidential campaign to repeatedly promise that he would label China a "currency manipulator" on day one.

Here are just a few examples.

In an op-ed for The Wall Street Journal published in November 2015, Trump promised he would label China a currency manipulator on his very first day in office.

Then in Pennsylvania in June 2016, Trump claimed naming China as a currency manipulator as part of a list of actions he would be taking as president to improve the economy...

I’m going to instruct my treasury secretary to label China a currency manipulator, which should have been done years ago,

There is the now infamous incident where Trump said during a rally on May 2nd in Fort Wayne, Indiana compared the U.S.'s trade deficit with China to "rape"...

"We can't continue to allow China to rape our country, and that's what they're doing,

There are several tweets that confirm his belief about China's currency manipulation...

Hell, even as recently as 10 days ago Trump told the Financial Times that China was the "world champion" of currency manipulators...

when you talk about currency manipulation, when you talk about devaluation, world champions” of currency manipulation... and our country hasn't had a clue, they haven't had a clue... But I do."

Okay, okay, Donald we get it! China is a currency manipulator who is raping America... But how do you really feel?

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal that comes out later this week said his administration... wait for it... wouldn't label China a currency manipulator saying simply...

"They're [China] not currency manipulators,"

Trump claim the reason he changed his mind was because he believed that China has "stopped manipulating" its currency in recent months.

Works for me.

Trump's flip flop comes just days after the president hosted his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
