The interview opens with Trump emphatically stating...
"Just so you know were not going into Syria"
He then says it again at the end of his sentence in case we didn't catch it the first time.
Later in the interview Trump appears to rule out any intervention in Syria flatly stating...
“Are we going to get involved with Syria? No,”
He then, in the same breath, declares...
"But if I see the using gas and using things... that... I mean some of the worst tyrants in the world didn't use the kind of gasses that they used"
So we'll put that down as U.S. "involved" or "not involved"?... Just hold up one finger or two.
Here is a video of the two statements...
Does Donald Trump have dementia?
Seriously though. How can you bomb Syria with 59 tomahawk missiles and then go on TV and say you are not involved in that country.
If you want to put that aside and call the missile strikes a "one off", as the administration has done, one only has to look at the fact that the U.S. has conducted over 7,800 airstrikes in Syria as of March 28, according to the Department of Defense.
Now as far as his statement that the US will not be going into Syria... We are already there!
The Pentagon just sent 400 Marines to Syria to help local fighters wrest control of Raqqa from militants bringing the number of U.S. forces on the ground in Syria to about 900.
So maybe I wasn't kidding... Does Donald Trump have dementia?
