White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer Defends Hitler! Claims He Never "Used Gas On His Own People" (2 VIDEOS , 3 STATEMENTS)

Oh my god, what did I just say!?!?!?!

This afternoon White House press secretary Sean "alternative facts" Spicer really earned his nickname.

He did so by defending Adolf Hitler declaring that the monstrous German dictator never sank "to using chemical weapons.

And Spicer did it on Passover no less!!!!

The... umm, how to sum it up... unfortunate words tumbled out of yhr press secretary's mouth in an attempted to defend his boss' use of military force against Syria arguing that the countries President Bashar Assad was even worse than Adolf Hitler.

It was during Spicer's briefing of reporters on whether U.S. relations with Syrian ally Russia will change in the wake of the Syrian regime unleashing chemical weapons last week that Spicer tried out his comparison...

We didn’t use chemical weapons in World War II. You know, you had someone as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons,

Here is a gif of some of the faces of those in attendance when Spicer let that verbiage fly...

After the press recovered from their shock one reporter asked him to clarify his remarks.

Spicer responded with this mumblefest...

I think when you come to sarin gas, he [Hitler] was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing. He brought them into, um, the Holocaust center — I understand that. But I’m saying in the way Assad used them where he went into towns, dropped them down into the middle of towns, it was brought — the use of it — and I appreciate the clarification, that was not the intent.

Holocaust centers.

Holocaust centers?

Apparently holocaust centers is a reference to the the gas chambers nazis used in Germany's concentration camps.

Here is a video of that painful painful exchange...

Despite Spicer's inartful retraction the damage was done.

MSNBC quickly fact-checked Spicer in a simple but effective chyron...

The Anne Frank Center’s executive director, Steven Goldstein, released a statement saying Spicer should be fired...

On Passover no less, Sean Spicer has engaged in Holocaust denial, the most offensive form of fake news imaginable, by denying Hitler gassed millions of Jews to death. Spicer’s statement is most evil slur upon a group of people we have ever heard from a White House press secretary. Sean Spicer now lacks the integrity to serve as White House press secretary, and President Trump must fire him at once.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) also called for Spicer’s firing...

While Jewish families across America celebrate Passover, the chief spokesman of this White House is downplaying the horror of the Holocaust. Sean Spicer must be fired, and the President must immediately disavow his spokesman’s statements. Either he is speaking for the President, or the President should have known better than to hire him.

Spicer later apologized for the comments in an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN.

“I was obviously trying to make a point about the heinous acts that Assad had made against his own people last week using chemical weapons and gas, and frankly I mistakenly used an inappropriate and insensitive reference to the Holocaust, for which frankly there is no comparison. And for that I apologize, it was a mistake to do that"

Here is that interview...

Then, in a last ditch effort, the White House put out not one, not two but THREE different statements trying to explain Spicer's insane comments.

Here is the first attempt...

Here is the second attempt...

Here is the third and hopefully, final attempt...
