Former Trump Surrogate And Press Officer Boris Epshteyn To Be Questioned In Russia Probe

Trump's former surrogate and press aide, Boris Epshteyn, known mostly for rubbing his colleagues the wrong way, has joined the long list of Trump associates who have been contacted by investigators probing Russian interference in the U.S. election.

Epshteyn, a Trump campaign adviser who briefly served in the White House communications office has received a request for information and testimony from the House Intelligence Committee.

Epshteyn's lawyer provided a brief statement...

"Like many others, Mr. Epshteyn has received a broad, preliminary request for information from the House Intelligence Committee. This is a voluntary request. Mr. Epshteyn has not been subpoenaed nor do we anticipate that he will be. We have reached out to the Committee wth several follow up questions and we are awaiting their response in order to better understand what information they are seeking and whether Mr. Epshteyn is able to reasonably provide it."

Epshteyn, an attorney who was born in Moscow and emigrated to the U.S. as a child, was introduced into the Trump clan when he befriended Eric Trump as a student at Georgetown.

He was dismissed from the White House just two months after Trump's inauguration after an article in Politico reported Epshteyn was unwelcome at cable news outlets due to his boorish behavior in the station's green rooms, threatening bookers and pissing off producers.

In other words he is an extremely unpleasant person.

Epshteyn would be the seventh Trump associate whose activities are being examined in the rapidly widening Congressional investigation into Trump/Russia ties.

Donald Trump’s Communications Director Resigns After Only Three Months

The latest casualty in the Donald Trump White House reality show is his communications director, Mike Dubke.

Dubke, a longtime Republican consultant, is resigning from the White House after serving for a mere three months. His resignation was tendered on May 18 but he offered to stay while Trump was away on his overseas trip.

The spokesman’s last day has not been determined but when he bolts he plans to return to work at Black Rock group, his communications and public affairs firm.

According to multiple media outlets Dubke, 47, wrote in an email to friends...

The reasons for my departure are personal, but it has been my great honor to serve President Trump and this administration. It has also been my distinct pleasure to work side-by-side, day-by-day with the staff of the communications and press departments.

Dubke didn’t give a reason for his departure but it is being reported that it was because he was frozen out of Trump’s inner circle.

We should all be so lucky.

His exit comes amid growing turmoil within the White House and as Trump has reportedly scaled back the public role of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who is expected to give fewer on-camera briefings from here on out.

This move is perhaps because Spicer will be called on to serve as both press secretary and communications director for the White House again as he did before Dubke came aboard in March.

Trump’s Long Time Attorney Michael Cohen Is Now Under Investigation In Russia Probe

It has been being reported that Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Michael "says who" Cohen, is under investigation as part of the congressional probes into ties between Trump’s campaign and Russia.

Cohen, who has been a close confidant to Trump for years as well as a campaign surrogate, confirmed to multiple news outlets that both the House and Senate intelligence committees requested “information and testimony” from him.

But in a statement Cohen has said that he has chosen not to comply...

I declined the invitation to participate, as the request was poorly phrased, overly broad and not capable of being answered,

The suspicion aimed at Cohen stems from the fact that he was cited in a former British spy’s dossier on Trump, which alleged that he colluded with a Russian official in Prague to help with the hacking of Democratic National Committee emails

Cohen has repeatedly denied the charge saying that he has never visited Prague, yet offered no proof to refute the claim.

The Senate committee’s request to Cohen reportedly came at the same time it sent letters to other people of interest in its investigation, including former Trump campaign Chairman Paul Manafort and advisers Carter Page and Roger Stone.

As per usual Trump has derided the reports that his administration colluded with Russia in last year’s election as “fake news” even as he has obviously and ineffectually tried to obstruct these very investigations.

Senate Intelligence Committee Orders Trump To Hand Over All Campaign Documents, Emails And Telephone Records

The Senate Intelligence Committee, investigating Russian meddling in U.S. 2016 election, has ordered Donald Trump to hand over all documents going back the campaign’s launch in June 2015.

Citing two people briefed on the request the Washington Post reported that the Trump administration received a letter from the Senate panel seeking all documents, emails and telephone records last week.

This marked the first time the Trump campaign organization has been drawn into the committee’s investigation into Russian interference in the presidential election.

In addition to the request made of the administration dozens of former campaign staffers are expected to be contacted to ensure they are aware of the request.

The letter was signed by Republican Senator Richard Burr, the committee’s chairman, and Senator Mark Warner, its top Democrat, according to the Post, who declined to comment any further on the matter.

The Senate panel's investigation is among several in Congress into Russian interference in the election but separate from the probe into the matter being led by a special counsel Robert Mueller who was appointed last week by the Justice Department.

Trump’s campaign committee, which is based at Trump Tower in New York, is now led by Michael Glassner, a former deputy campaign manager, and John Pence, a nephew of Vice President Mike Pence.

BOMBSHELL: Trump's Son In Law, Jared Kushner, Allegedly Discussed Opening A Secret Line Of Communications With Russia

Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s top adviser and son-in-law, reportedly discussed opening a secret line of communication between the administration’s transition team and the Russian government.

According to the Washington Post, Kushner discussed obtaining such a line of secret communication with Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak in order that their conversations would remain hidden from the eyes and ears of US intelligence.

In a wickedly ironic twist the talks were intercepted by US inteligence agencies in December, before Trump’s had taken office.

Kushner apparently suggested using Russia's secure communications gear at one of it's embassies or consulates as the secure the channel to avoid being monitored by any US agencies.

Kislyak, who is widely believed to be involved with Russia’s spying operations, was reportedly taken aback by the suggestion because it would have carried security risks for Moscow as well as the Trump team.

Attending that meeting between Kushner and Kislyak was former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who was fired in February after discussing U.S. sanctions against Russia with the ambassador and then lying about it.

Current and former US intelligence officials when asked about Kushner's request for a secret back channel called it “naive” or “crazy” given the FBI’s close tabs on Russian officials in the US. Some have even accused Kushner of engaging in treason and/or espionage as he is an an American citizen allegedly working in league with a hostile government.

All I ask is that you imagine if this had been done by President Hillary Clinton's closest advisor and/or Chelsea Clinton's husband!!!! How do you think the Republicans would have reacted?

The Post's article comes one day after it had reported that Kushner was under investigation as part of the FBI’s probe into whether Trump’s campaign team actively colluded with Russian officials to try to sway the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.

As of tonight the only statement from the White House described the Kushner/Kislyak meeting as routine.

The Post’s article about Kushner is just the latest in a string of reports about Trump associates’ alleged ties to Russian officials.

DENIED! Appeals Court Shuts Down Trump’s Muslim Ban... Again!

Donald Trump's Muslim Ban has suffered yet another setback.

As Trump returns from his nine day trip abroad a federal appeals court in Richmond, Virginia, has refused to lift a nationwide injunction that halted a key provision of Donald Trump’s revised travel ban on six predominantly Muslim nations.

This ruling is being considered the most consequential setback Trump's bill has suffered in its attempts to instate the ban.

The ruling, rendered by 13 judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, has deemed the case important enough to skip the usual three-judge process that many cases go through and went right to the ruling.

U.S. Chief Circuit Judge Roger Gregory wrote that the wording in Trump's executive order...

speaks with vague words of national security, but in context drips with religious intolerance, animus, and discrimination. Congress granted the President broad power to deny entry to aliens, but that power is not absolute. It cannot go unchecked when, as here, the President wields it through an executive edict that stands to cause irreparable harm to individuals across this nation.

This damning rebuttal for the most part mirrors the original block on the travel ban.

Ten of the judges who heard the case, all of them luckily appointed by Democratic presidents, voted to keep Trump’s travel restrictions on hold.

While not every judge in the majority agreed with Judge Roger Gregory conclusion, they did however agree that Trump’s executive order most likely violated the Constitution’s establishment clause, which forbids the government from expressing religious preferences.

For example, U.S. Circuit Judge Stephanie Thacker, an Obama appointee, said that as a candidate, Trump had yet to take an “oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution,” and thus was at liberty to make wild campaign promises. But once he took office, everything he or his administration said or did was fair game.

So in other words it was Trump's big mouth that, in the end, did in his Muslim ban.

Notably there were three dissenting judges, all Republican appointees, who wrote separate opinions condemning the ruling. They, for the most part, agreed that upholding the injunction would put the nation’s safety at risk from those who would travel to the US from this predominantly Muslim nations.

In any event this decision clears the way for Trump to appeal to the Supreme Court, a move Trump promised when the first version of the travel ban was shot down.

Let's see if Donald pulls the trigger this time around.

Trump's Tiny Hand Got Crushed By A French Man! A History Of Trump's Moronic Handshakes (GIFS)

After many fell prey to Donald Trump's idiotic handshake gamesmanshp it seems world leaders are on to his game.

It all started when Trump publicly embarrassed Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe...

Along the way their were other unsuspecting victims...

But it was Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who obviously came prepared with a game plan and countered the Trump hand jive...

Apparently going to school on Trudeau's handshake jiu-jitsu French president Emmanuel Macron totaled Trump in a mano a mano white knuckle shake of death...

Another angle...

Apparently after  Trump tried to take his revenge at a later Nato group photo-op but once again the Frenchman was ready...

The jig is up mini mitts.

America First: Trump Pushes Prime Minister To Get A Better Place In NATO Photo Op (VIDEO)

Donald Trump, the ugliest American, has embarrassed us in front of the world once again.

While walking with the NATO leaders Trump pushed Dusko Markovic, the Prime Minister of Montenegro, out of his way. Trump did this in order to assure he would have a prime position in a photo op at the brand-new NATO headquarters in Brussels.

After the shove he then, like a preening 4th grade bully, fixed his jacket and set himself for the picture.

It was utterly embarrassing.

Watch the whole thing here...

What a jag-off.

Officials Confirm Jared Kushner Is Now A Focus Of The Trump/Russia Probe

Multiple U.S. officials have reported to the media that Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law and perhaps his most valued adviser, has come under FBI scrutiny in the Russia investigation,

The same officials have stated that investigators believe Kushner has significant information relevant to their inquiry.

The significance of the FBI's focusing on Kushner means that the counterintelligence and criminal investigation is not only looking at people who work at the White House but now at the Trump family as well.

Officials at this point insist that Kushner falls into a different category than that of former Trump aides Paul Manafort and Michael Flynn, who are formally considered "subjects" of the investigation and have had subpoenas served to them by a grand jury.

FACT CHECK: The Justice Department's U.S. Attorneys' Manual, "A 'subject' of an investigation is a person whose conduct is within the scope of the grand jury's investigation."

It is not yet been made clear which of Kushner's activities has drawn the FBI's interest as it investigates whether Trump associates coordinated with the Russian campaign to interfere in the election.

What is known is that Kushner met at least once in December with the Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak and Russian banker, Sergey Gorkov. Gorkov is chairman of VneshEconomBank, a Russian government-owned institution that has been under U.S. sanctions since July 2014 and studied at the training school for the FSB, the Russian equivalent to the the our countries CIA.

As Congressional aides have made it clear they would like to question Kushner about that meeting Kushner has acknowledged that he would voluntarily appear before the Senate intelligence committee when asked to do so.

As of tonight it is believed that Kushner has not received any records requests from federal investigators.

The net widens and the noose tightens.

A DISGRACE! CBO Score Shows 23 Million Would Lose Their Health Insurance Under Republican's New Trumpcare Bill

Trump celebrates with Paul Ryan as their health care plan passes the House

Last month House Republicans narrowly passed American Health Care Act (AHCA) along party lines as they rushed the bill through in less than 24 hours. They marked the bills passage with a Trump led Rose Garden celebration complete with Bud Light for everyone despite the fact that the Congressional Budget Office had not scored the bill before it's passage.

Now we know why the Republicans did not wait for the CBO's numbers on the AHCA before voting for it.

Today the the Congressional Budget Office reported that under the Republican's American Health Care Act Twenty-three million Americans would lose their health insurance under the GOP authored bill.

While the CBO also predicted that the deficit would come down by $119 billion over the next decade and that premiums for people buying insurance on their own would generally be lower for younger consumers it also pointed out that premiums for older and sicker people would skyrocket.

In addition to the horrifying news that the sick and infirmed would have less access to coverage the policies available on the market for them would tend to be a lot less comprehensive.

In other words, the price for lower premiums would be some combination of higher out-of-pocket costs, fewer covered services, and coverage that would be harder to get for the people who need it most.

The CBO report pointed out quite simply that...

Insurance, on average, would pay for a smaller proportion of health care costs,

The CBO even predicts that several million people will opt to use the bill’s new tax credits to buy plans so bare-boned that they don’t even qualify as health insurance.

The American Health Care Act would also take away $1.1 trillion from programs that help people get covered, including $834 billion in cuts to Medicaid.

The net effect of the House-passed bill would reverse all of the Affordable Care Act’s coverage expansion, which had pushed the uninsured rate to a historic low.

The CBO broke the losses down like this...

• Coverage losses would begin with 14 million more uninsured next year, 19 million more by 2020 and 23 million more by 2026.

• The largest share of the lower coverage numbers would come from the 14 million fewer low-income people who qualify for Medicaid.

• The rise in the uninsured would fall hardest on low-income people aged 50 to 64.

• Health insurance premiums for young adults generally would come down, in part because policies would be less comprehensive. A 21-year-old could buy an unsubsidized policy for as little as $3,700 a year under the House bill, compared to $5,100 under the Affordable Care Act.

• Health insurance cost would be significantly higher for older people as a 64-year-old’s annual unsubsidized premium would rise from $15,300 to as much as $21,000.

• Perhaps worst of all the bill would allow states to waive a rule that prohibits insurers from charging higher premiums to people at greater risk of medical problems letting insurers jack up rates for people with pre-existing conditions. This would violating Donald Trump's key promise to guarantee insurance for everybody regardless of medical status.

Today's CBO assessment of the AHCA is almost identical to the evaluations for the budget issued previously that the House had failed pass.

Senate Republicans, who are now left holding this sadistic bill, have made it clear they could not vote for any bill that would reduce regulations on health insurance, rearrange tax credits for people buying health insurance and dramatically cut funding for Medicaid leaving many millions of Americans without health insurance while exposing older, sicker people to some combination of higher premiums and out-of-pocket costs.

Well that about covers it guys because the House bill would do all that and a lot more.

Trump Lawyers Up Over Russia Probes

Donald Trump has retained lawyer Marc Kasowitz as outside counsel

Reports have revealed that Donald Trump, due to the ever increasing problems stemming from his campaign's alleged ties to Russia, is expected to hire Wall Street lawyer Marc Kasowitz.

It was revealed that Trump is expected to retain Kasowitz to help represent him in the federal investigation into alleged ties between his presidential campaign and Russia.

The revelation comes just days after former FBI Director Robert Mueller was named special counsel in the federal investigation into Trump/Russia ties and revelations that Trump pressured former FBI Director James Comey to ease off of an investigation into Trump's former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

Kasowitz has represented Trump in the past and in January was described in the The Wall Street Journal as "Donald Trump's go-to guy for his toughest legal battles."

These instances include...

• Kasowitz sued successfully to keep records sealed from Trump’s divorce from first wife, Ivana

• The law firm helped Trump restructure debt when his casinos entered bankruptcies.

 • In 2006 Kasowitz filed a case on Trump's behalf against a journalist who wrote a book about Trump who claimed trump wasn't as rich as he claimed. Trump ultimately lost the suit after he couldn't prove his claim of being a billionaire.

• Kasowitz represented Trump against a suit filed by the New York Attorney General against Trump University in which Trump paid out $25 million dollars in settlements.

• Kasowitz came to Trump's aid last year after The New York Times reported that multiple women claimed Trump sexually assaulted them. Kasowitz sent letters to the paper demanding they retract a story. The stories were never retracted.

Kasowitz has some very serious ties to Russia as well as Vladimir Putin which has set off some people's alarm bells.

Kasowitz is presently defending Russia's largest bank, OJSC Sberbank, in an ongoing lawsuit in US court, a company controlled by a Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska who has close ties to Russian president Vladimir Putin and a Russian company named Veleron in a federal lawsuit against Morgan Stanley.

Kasowitz founded his firm in 1993 and grew it into a 270-lawyer operation with revenue of more than $200 million and is described on his website as the "toughest lawyer on Wall Street."

Trump Says His Visit To Israel’s World Holocaust Remembrance Center Was “SO AMAZING.” (PICTURES)

Today Donald Trump, who famously said of Jewish people "The only kind of people I want counting my money are little short guys that wear yarmulkes every day" briefly visited Israel’s World Holocaust Remembrance Center, Yad Vashem, in Jerusalem.

Trump summed up the experience in the museum’s guest book as - all caps -  “SO AMAZING.

Initial reports in Israeli and Jewish media suggested that Trump only planned to visit the memorial for 15 minutes, the Trump’s team ended up setting aside close to 30 minutes for the visit, according to media reports.

Before he left, Trump briefly (very briefly) stopped to sign the memorial’s guest book...

It is a great honor to be here with all of my friends - SO AMAZING and will NEVER FORGET!

Times of Israel correspondent Raoul Wootliff tweeted out an image of the note...

Wootliff later tweeted of Trump's seemingly truncated note that...

"He forgot: "See you next summer"

For comparison here is President Barack Obama note when he visited Yad Vashem back in 2008...

"I am grateful to Yad Vashem and all of those responsible for this remarkable institution. At a time of great peril and promise, war and strife, we are blessed to have such a powerful reminder of man's potential for great evil, but also our own capacity to rise up from tragedy and remake our world. Let our children come here, and know their history, so that they can add their voices to proclaim 'never again.' And may we remember those who perished, not only as victims, but also as individuals who hoped and loved and dreamed like us, and who have become symbols of the human spirit."

Here is a photo of that strikingly different message...

Again, for comparison, here is the message Hillary Clinton left at the museum when she visited as Secretary Of State in 2009"...

"Yad Vashem is a testament to the power of truth in the face of denial, the resilience of the human spirit in the face of despair, the triumph of the Jewish people over murder and destruction and a reminder to all people that the lessons of the Holocaust must never be forgotten. God bless Israel and its future."

Here is a photo of that note...

And finally here is George W. Bush's entry into the Yad Vashem guestbook in '08 that makes Trump look positively verbose...

In Damning Testimony Former CIA Chief John Brennan Says That Intelligence Warrants FBI’s Trump/Russia Investigation

Former head of the CIA John Brennan testified in front of lawmakers today at a House Intelligence Committee hearing.

During the hearing Brennan stated that he had been privy to intelligence detailing interactions between Donald Trump’s campaign associates and Russian officials that led him to believe there was without a doubt a need for the present FBI investigation into possible collusion between Trump and Russia.

During his testimony today Brennan said...

I encountered and am aware of information and intelligence that revealed contacts and interactions between Russian officials and U.S. persons involved in the Trump campaign,

Brennan went on to say that by the time he left the CIA on Jan. 20 he had “unresolved questions” as to whether the Russians were successful in getting Americans “to work on their behalf, again, either in a witting or unwitting fashion.

Due to the fact that Brennan had left the CIA before the investigation had made significant inroads into the case he told lawmakers he could not say with certainty whether the president’s campaign associates colluded with Moscow.

He did however say...

But I know that there was a sufficient basis of information and intelligence that required further investigation by the [FBI] to determine whether or not U.S. persons were actively conspiring or colluding with Russian officials,

After several Republican lawmakers tried to defuse his testimony by asking him to provide “evidence” that the Trump campaign colluded with Moscow to increase Trump’s odds of winning the 2016 presidential election Brennan said, in carefully worded responses, that as CIA chief he dealt with intelligence rather than evidence and that the intelligence he saw warranted further investigation.

The former CIA chief’s descriptions of the unusual interactions between Trump associates and Russian officials matches the reports that have come to light concerning Trump advisers Carter Page, Roger Stone, Paul Manafort and Michael Flynn.

Brennan however could not publicly name the Trump associates who were in contact with Russian officials due to classification reasons.

Brennan, who had spent 25 years with the CIA, played a key role in a U.S. intelligence assessment that accused Moscow of meddling in last year’s presidential election with the goal of helping Trump win.

Brennan has emerged as a harsh critic of Trump notably when Trump compared the intelligence community to Nazi Germany in January before he took office. Brennan called the remarks “repugnant.”

New Report Show Trump Directly Asked Two Top Intel Officials To Publicly Deny His Russia Ties

The Washington Post has dropped yet another bombshell account of Donald Trump attempting to obstruct the investigation of his campaign’s ties to the Russian government.

Sources told the Post that Trump asked two top intelligence officials to deny any evidence of collusion.

According to the report Trump asked both the Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats and National Security Agency Director Michael Rogers to publicly deny that there was any evidence of connections between Trump’s team and Russia.

The requests reportedly came in late March, after then-FBI Director James Comey confirmed that his bureau was looking into Trump and his campaign’s ties to Russia.

Coats and Rogers reportedly rejected Trump's appeal claiming they felt "uncomfortable" with the request.

The Post also reports that White House officials sought to influence Comey directly.

In addition to the requests to Coats and Rogers, senior White House officials directly requested that top intelligence officials intervene directly with Comey on behalf of Donald Trump to encourage the FBI to drop its probe of his former national security adviser Gen. Michael Flynn.

The officials said the White House asked the officials questions such as...

Can we ask him to shut down the investigation?" and "Are you able to assist in this matter?

After the Post's report hit the newsstands the White House says of the report that they will neither...

"confirm or deny unsubstantiated claims based on illegal leaks from anonymous individuals,”

The Post’s report is yet another instance of Trump and his associates meddling in ongoing investigations which ultimately shows a pattern of not only trying to intervene but obstruct the FBI’s Russia probe.

Trump, in his statement, said the tragedy was the work of “evil losers in life”.

He continued on about the terror attack that killed 22 innocents in what can only be described as a schoolyard taunt...

I won’t call them monsters, because they would like that term. They would think that's a great name... I will call them from now on losers because that's what they are, they’re losers, and we'll have more of them but they're losers. Just remember that,

Yes terrorists, just remember that.

Report: White House Lawyers Are Researching Impeachment Procedures

It is being reported that White House lawyers have begun researching impeachment procedures in an effort to prepare for what officials believe is the distinct possibility that Donald Trump will have to stave off attempts to remove him from office.

Even though White House officials state that Trump has the backing of Republicans in Congress and that impeachment is not in the cards lawyers in the White House counsel's office have allegedly consulted experts in impeachment law during the past week.

After the story broke an unnamed White House official claimed "it's not true" that White House lawyers are researching impeachment procedures.

One outside attorney close to the office, again unnamed, cast doubt on impeachment preparations saying it wouldn't be something White House counsel Don McGahn would authorize.

Naysayers believe that the legal discussions that are taking place are instead part of a broader internal effort to bolster the president's legal defense, which has become more complicated with the Justice Department's appointment of a special counsel to pursue the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Throwing more weight to the speculation of possible impeachment proceedings came when close advisers to Trump, including his lawyer Michael Cohen, visited the White House to discuss Trump's need to hire a personal attorney.

Let it be noted that not even Democrats have started piling on in the call for impeachment saying talk of the implementing the procedure is premature.
