BANNON OUT! The Alt-Right Darling Just Alt-Left The White House - Declares "Thermo-Nuclear War!" (*Sort Of)

Steve Bannon, a senior adviser and chief strategist to Donald Trump, has lost his job.

The White House press secretary said in a statement that Bannon and Chief of Staff John Kelly agreed that Friday would be his last day adding...

We are grateful for his service and wish him the best,”

Bannon’s departure comes during a tumultuous four weeks in which a slew of senior officials have announced their departures, including the former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, former press secretary Sean Spicer and former communications director Anthony Scaramucci, who was hired and fired within the space of 11 days.

While details of Bannon’s departure remain murky at best what is crystal clear is that upon his departure Bannon immediately returned to Breitbart News as it's executive chairman mere hours after getting the boot. This was borne out as the Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow of the much-maligned website posted the headline...

Bannon even helmed the alt-right news site's evening editorial meeting.

In Steve Bannon first interview the alt-right firebrand made clear that he had no intention of going quietly saying he was "jacked up" adding...

"Now I'm free. I’ve got my hands back on my weapons. I built a f***ing machine at Breitbart. And now I’m about to go back, knowing what I know, and we’re about to rev that machine up. And rev it up we will do.

One of Bannon’s friends told reporter Gabriel Sherman that in the wake of his ouster Bannon was...

“ramping up for war against Trump. It’s now a Democrat White House.

This is likely a reference to Bannon’s long running battle with key advisers such as Jared Kushner, his wive Ivanka Trump and Gary Cohn all of whom are Jewish.

A source close to Breitbart News told Axios’ Jonathan Swan that the right wing news website plans to...

go ‘thermonuclear’ against ‘globalists’ that Bannon and his friends believe are ruining the Trump administration, and by extension, America.

As if to confirm the reports, Breitbart editor Joel Pollak simply posted a one word tweet in response to Bannon’s ouster...

 “#WAR”

Bannon did however add this caveat when he told Bloomberg News in his first public comments after his departure was announced....

If there’s any confusion out there, let me clear it up: I’m leaving the White House and going to war for Trump against his opponents -- on Capitol Hill, in the media, and in corporate America,”

So much like when he was in the White House the messages are completely ass-backwards as he departs as well.

As far as the firing it had been reported that Trump was upset over a new book highlighting the importance of Bannon’s role in Trump’s presidential campaign. Add that to the bizarre interview that Bannon gave to the American Prospect in which he contradicted Trump’s military threats to North Korea and seemed to take credit for Donald Trump's 2016 election win the reason for the firing becomes a little more contextualized and understandable.
