Trump Hosts NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre At The White House On The Anniversary Of The Sandy Hook Shooting

Thursday marked the 5 year anniversary of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Connecticut that claimed the lives of 26, 20 of whom were small children.

On the somber date Donald Trump failed to mention let alone release any statement or messages of condolences for the families who lost loved ones on that horrific day.

Most repugnant of Trump's actions on that day was the fact that he hosted NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre at a White House Christmas party as families and friends of the elementary school gun massacre were remembering the victims of the horrific shooting spree.

This after LaPierre and the NRA spread lies about the emergency response to the attack, lashed out at critics, urged that every school in America have armed guards and fought to obstruct President Barack Obama’s bipartisan effort to pass a background check bill in the wake of the attack.

Here is a picture of LaPierre at the event via Shannon Watts of "Mom's Demand Action"...

Watts pointed out that over the last 4 years since the tragedy President Obama had invited only gun violence prevention activists, gun violence survivors, Sandy Hook families and supportive lawmakers to the White House's Christmas party out of respect to those who lost their lives on that day.
