At the Congressional Republican Retreat in West Virginia on Thursday, Donald Trump bragged-lied about the number of jobs he had created since his election in November 2016...
“Since the election, we have created 2.4 million jobs — that’s unthinkable,”
Yet according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the U.S. created just 2.06 million jobs since Trump took office making it the worst year for job creation since 2011, when the economy was still recovering from the Great Recession.

Trump’s 2.4 million claim takes credit for the jobs created during the final two months of the Obama presidency which Trump obviously had nothing to do with.
The anemic job numbers are an indicator that the recent GOP tax bill and Trump’s endless gutting of regulations haven’t created as many jobs as anticipated.
