Trump Lied That He Got The Biggest Ratings "In History" For His State Of The Union Address... Because Of Course He Did!
Donald Trump lied about his ratings from his State of the Union Thursday morning tweeting that the numbers were record-breaking...
While being correct about the numbers, pulling down approximately 45.6 million viewers according to Nielsen, Trump was however lying about his viewership being the “highest number in history.”
In "real life" Trump’s three immediate predecessors, Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, all garnered higher ratings from their first State of the Union than Trump did.
The numbers were as such...
• 48 million people tuned in to watch Obama in 2010
• 51.7 million tuned in to Bush in 2002
• 45.8 million tuned in for Clinton in 1994.
And as for those that did tune into Trump's SOTU let's be honest shall we.
It is without a doubt that a large portion of the viewers tuned in solely to see if Trump was going to either lose his dentures, go off script and say something insane or just plain crap his pants on live TV.
