Report Finds That Fox News Has Handed Trump's Reelection Campaign Over $13 Million In Free Advertising
Over at Media Matters they have done a little "mathing" and come up with some surprising figures.
One of the findings pertains to the fact that over the past two months Fox News has aired every single one of Donald Trump’s six campaign style rallies.
Over that time Trump has held rallies in Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, Minnesota, South Carolina, and North Dakota.
While Fox has aired Trump's rallies live and uninterrupted the two other cable news networks, CNN and MSNBC, did not follow suit.
Here is a chart of the figures MM arrived at...
The report found that Fox had aired every single rally in its entirety for a total of 6 hours, 33 minutes, and 20 seconds of live coverage.
This may not surprising the average viewer until they realize that airing the rallies, after he confirmed that he’s running for re-election, is the equivalent of handing the Trump campaign millions of dollars.
This is where the report analyzed that in televising Trump's hootenannies live was tantamount to giving his re-election bid millions worth of free advertising.
Here are the figures they arrived at for that...
The number was arrived at attaining by iQ media's data to ascertain that the six and a half hours of airtime that Fox News gave Trump was worth an estimated $13,271,887.35 in advertising value.
It's a pretty sweet deal until you realize that Fox makes their lion share of profit from keeping Trump's supporters angry, outraged and tuned in.
It's a symbiotic relationship that benefits both host and parasite... I'll let you choose who is which.
