Trump Says He Didn't Fire Comey "Because Of Russia" After He Admitted He Fired Comey "Because Of Russia,'' Because Lying Is What Makes Him Happy

Lying liar Donald Trump lied on Thursday when he claimed he did not fire James Comey as director of the FBI because of the agency's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Here is the lie...

The lie contradicts Trump's own prior statements about canning Comey he made in an interview with NBC News’ Lester Holt in May 2017.

In that televised interview Trump directly admits he’d been planning to fire Comey even before he received Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein's recommendation to do so...

But regardless of recommendation, I was going to fire Comey knowing there was no good time to do it And in fact, when I decided to just do it, I said to myself — I said, you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story,"

You can watch Trump drop that liddle' tid-bit on Lester right here...

And there's more.

Russia released photographs show Trump's meeting with Russian officials in which U.S journalists were barred.

You might also remember the May 2017 meeting with the Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov and Russian Prime Minister Sergey Kislyak in the Oval Office in which no American journalists were allowed in the room.

Turns out that an American official who was in attendance reported to the New York Times that Trump stated to the pair that...

I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job. I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.” adding, “I’m not under investigation.

And there's more.

Trump’s latest tweet also contradicts statements made by former New York mayor and the newest addition to his legal team, Rudy Giuliani, who indicated that his new boss's decision to fire Comey was in fact related to the Russia probe...

"He fired Comey because Comey would not, among other things, say that he wasn’t a target of the investigation. He’s entitled to that. Hillary Clinton got that. And he couldn’t get that. So he fired him. And then he said, 'I’m free of this guys.'"

So it's Trumps word against two Trumps and his lawyer... Who are you going to believe?
