Well that escalated quickly.
After Trump lobbied to have Russia reinstated to the G7, insulted our allies in the G7, arrived to the G7 summit late and the ultimately left the G7 summit early he is now threatening to “stop trading” with America's closest allies.
Donald Trump said Saturday just before departing the Group of Seven summit in Quebec, Canada, that the United States would cease to do business with our democratic friends around the world unless they change their unfair trade policies.
Speaking to reporters at the annual G-7 meeting Trump said eliminating trade barriers between the nations would be “the ultimate thing” calling current tariffs on U.S. goods and services “ridiculous”...
“We’re like the piggy bank that everybody’s robbing ― and that ends,” adding later “It’s going to stop, or we’ll stop trading with them. And that’s a very profitable answer, if we have to do it,”

Despite the over the top threat Trump contended that the trade talks he had just ducked out of a day early from were “not contentious” and said in a tweet that leaders of the six other nations...
“fully understand where I am coming from,”
I assure you they do not.
The comments come amid a tense couple of days between the world leaders over Trump’s decision to impose steel and aluminum tariffs on Canada, Mexico and the European Union.
