Trump Again Threatens To "Shut Down Government" Over Funding For His Anti-Immigrant Border Wall

Over the weekend Donald Trump rained down a tweet storm in which he once again threatened to shut down the federal government if "the Democrats" do not fund his proposed U.S.-Mexico border wall.

At 6:13 am Trump, obviously feeling the heat of the mid-terms, decided to address his anti-immigrant base through his preferred mode of communication...

Trump’s tweet came just days after his meeting with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan on Wednesday in which they supposedly tried to talk him out of just such a "shut dow".

Though reports have been circling that Trump seemed “receptive” to the idea his tweet indicates otherwise.

The lunacy of Trump's demand that Democrats are the ones who need to give him "the votes" for his wall is that Republicans have a majority in the House and the Senate and a government shutdown could spark a backlash against the GOP.

But it's a Sunday and Trump's obviously impatiently waiting around for tee time so why not fire off a tweet threatening to freeze the federal government and hold federal employees hostage for his 25 billion dollar boarder wall ransom.
