During an interview with right wing OAN Network on Thursday putrid schmuck Donald Trump Jr. claimed that the platform of the Democratic National Committee is “awfully similar” to that of the Nazi Party’s.
Trump Jr's remark came while he was attending a premiere for Dinesh D’Souza’s film “Death of a Nation: Plantation Politics” which also attempts to convince it's viewers that the Democrats and Germany’s Nazi Party are identical.
During his interview Trump told the news channel....
“I’ve been hearing the left talking about these things ― fascism, Nazism on the right — and when you look at the actual history of how these things evolved, and you actually look at that platform versus the platform of the modern left, you say, ‘Wait a minute, those two are very heavily aligned and, frankly, contrary to the right,’”
During the same interview Trump Jr. also suggested that people shouldn’t trust what they learned in a history class because...
“Academia has been so wrongly influenced by the left. You see the Nazi platform in the early 1930s and what was actually put out there, and you look at it compared to, like, the DNC platform of today, and you’re saying, ‘Man, those things are awfully similar,’ to the point where it’s actually scary. To me, that was one of the most striking things I took from the movie because it’s the exact opposite that you’ve been told.”
"But they're able to get away with that because, you know, academia, mainstream media, they'll sell the same false narrative and they've been doing it effectively for quite some time."
All of Trump Jr’s comments aped D’Souza’s film which without irony compared his father to President Abraham Lincoln and argues that Adolf Hitler was a progressive liberal.
Reviews of the “Death of a Nation", currently rated 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, include Variety saying the film is...
“preaching to the mentally unsound,” and “detached from reality,”
I'd' say Trump Jr. is their target audience.
What Trump Jr. forgets to talk about was the fact that millions of his father's supporters identify as white supremacists, white nationalists and neo-nazis.
Additionally, Trump Jr. didn't mention his father's now infamous remarks about the violent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, where he conflated both white supremacists and the anti-racist protestors saying there were...
“some very fine people on both sides.”
Remember, in a world where up is down and black is white the free press is the "enemy of the people", the liberals are the racists, the Democrats are the nazis and Donald Trump never lies.
FACT CHECK: D’Souza is conservative commentator who pleaded guilty in 2014 to violating campaign finance laws with an illegal donation to a GOP Senate candidate but was pardoned in May by Donald Trump.
