After word hit the streets last week that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe was looking into whether or not Donald Trump's tweets could be used in an obstruction of justice case against him Trump has apparently decided to add to the list of evidence.
On Wednesday Trump tweeted that his Attorney General Jeff Sessions should "stop" the Mueller investigation into whether his campaign colluded with Russia in the 2016 presidential election and whether he obstructed justice with this...
The tweet will likely go right into the mountain of evidence Mueller has already amassed.
This refrain from Trump has been a constant drum beat since Sessions recused himself from matters involving the investigation after it was revealed that he had lied about his meetings with Russian officials while part of Trump’s campaign.
Session's recusal set into motion the Assistant Attorney General's, Rod Rosenstien, appointment of Mueller as special counsel to pursue the probe which has so enraged Trump.
Session's recusal is also the reason why he doesn't have the authority to "stop" the Mueller investigation.
Trump's latest outburst was most likely set off by the start of former campaign chairman Paul Manafort's trial for money laundering and fraud related to his work as a pro-Russia lobbyist in Ukraine.
Trump seems to tweet when frightened.
