Wade in 2022.

The clinic Harris visited provides a variety of women’s health services, including birth control and preventive wellness.

As Harris toured the clinic, she spoke to physicians about how they’ve been affected by abortion bans outside of the state.

That is because Minnesota has to pick up the cases that North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska cannot fulfill after enacting near-total abortion bans in their states right after the high court’s decision.

After the state saw an uptick in out-of-state patients, Minnesota signed the “ abortion refuge law," which shields people traveling to the state for abortions from any legal consequences in their home states.

Harris' visit to the clinic serves to highlight a massive key election issue that divides the Democrats and Republicans as President Joe Biden has made abortion rights a centerpiece of his reelection campaign heading into the 2024 November race against Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

After arriving at the facility, Harris called out lawmakers who seek to roll back access to women’s healthcare and asserted that women in the U.S. are "silently suffering" following the reversal of Roe v. Wade...

"I will tell you, it is because right now in our country, we are facing a very serious health crisis. And the crisis is affecting many, many people in our country, most of whom are, frankly, silently suffering after the United States Supreme Court took a constitutional right that had been recognized from the people of America, from the women of America. In states around our country, extremists have proposed and passed laws that have denied women access to reproductive health care.

And the stories abound. I have heard stories and have met with women who had miscarriages in toilets. Women who were being denied emergency care because the health care providers there at an emergency room were afraid that because of the laws in their state that they could be criminalized, sent to prison for providing health care. So I’m here at this health care clinic to uplift the work that is happening in Minnesota as an example of what true leadership looks like, which is to understand it is only right and fair that people have access to the health care they need, and that they have access to health care in an environment where they are treated with dignity and respect."

You can watch that below...

Jacqueline Ayers, senior vice president of policy, organizing, and campaigns at Planned Parenthood, said in a released statement...

“Today is a historic day for Planned Parenthood, as this visit marks the first time in history that a sitting Vice President has visited a Planned Parenthood health center. text-align: center;">

LaCivita claimed the firings were implemented to "streamline" the organization as the Trump campaign so they can "become essentially one organization" - i.e., a slush fund for Trump.

After staffers were notified of their firings in an email Monday afternoon, they were offered an opportunity to reapply for their jobs, undoubtedly with a big fat nondisclosure form waiting for them when they tried!

The email indicated that those who choose not to reapply for their jobs would need to leave by the end of March, while some staffers were told to leave their positions immediately.

The Trump campaign and the RNC have worked closely in past elections, but the new overhaul marks an unprecedented level of integration between the former president’s campaign and the GOP’s formal political and fundraising apparatus, which is tasked with helping Republicans win elections up and down the ballot. The size and scope of the new changes within the GOP’s formal political and fundraising apparatus may take several weeks to become clear.

Aware of internal concerns about the committee’s level of commitment to Trump, LaCivita said last week that “not a penny of the RNC’s money” would go to pay Trump’s mounting legal fees.

This was, however, after Lara Trump said last month...

“Every single penny will go to the No. 1 and the only job of the RNC — that is elected Donald J. Got it!

The gutting of the RNC comes after former Chair Ronna Romney-McDaniel was forced to resign last Friday after Trump all but ordered her pink-slipped after he openly complained in interviews and on social media that he was unhappy with her performance following the RNC's worst fundraising year in a decade.

It couldn't possibly have anything to do with who they chose to put up as their patriot's standard bearer and presidential nominee, now could it?

Romney-McDaniel was imposed as the chairperson of the organization by Trump in 2016 after winning that year's election.
AltEvilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11120109943363370102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2419381627059174669.post-34204106871651874172024-03-12T03:47:00.006-04:002024-03-12T04:09:54.627-04:00Sex Trafficking Survivor At The Center Of Sen. Katie Britt to give the rebuttal to President Joe Biden's State of the Union address last Thursday as she had a story about the horrific sex trafficking of a 12-year-old girl locked and loaded in her arsenal that she had been telling for months.

The story dovetailed perfectly with their anti-immigrant fear-mongering, and Britt was all too happy – maybe a little TOO happy – to oblige.

In her rebuttal, Britt gave an over the top histrionic laden performance in which she lingered on the lurid details of the child victim of the sex trafficking, including a description of the room she was raped in, how many times she was raped a day before laying the blame directly at President Biden's feet, saying...

“We wouldn’t be OK with this happening in a third-world country. Bush administration.

In addition, the woman who survived the terrifying story, Karla Jacinto, did not confide her story to Britt – she told it while on a panel in Mexico, the Senator was on – has long been an advocate for sex trafficking victims and even told her story in front of the U.S. Congress in 2015.

After Britt defended her retelling in an interview Sunday with the Fox Network, Jacinto decided to speak out against her for purposely distorting her story and using it for political gain.

Jacinto told CNN on Sunday when asked about Britt's motive...

“In fact, I hardly ever cooperate with politicians because it seems to me that they only want an image. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) was interviewed this Sunday on “This Week” by George Stephanopoulos.

During the interview, the host asked a perplexing question of Mace, who has been an advocate for sexual assault victims, having been raped herself at the age of 16.

It is for that reason that Stephanopoulos delved into the complexities of Mace's endorsement of Donald Trump, whom a jury just recently found liable for the rape of writer E. Jean Carroll and asked how she could come to such a decision.

What Mace did next gave a terrifying look into just what true MAGA cultists are willing to overlook and forgive in order to justify their loyalty to Donald Trump.

It began with Stephanopoulos questioning Mace, saying...

"You've endorsed Donald Trump for president. Donald Trump has been found liable for rape by a jury. Donald Trump has been found liable for defaming the victim of that rape by a jury. It's been affirmed by a judge."

Mace completely dodges the question and instead accuses Stephanopoulos of trying to “shame” her for being a rape victim...

“Well, I will tell you that I was raped at the age of 16, and any rape victim will tell you I’ve lived for 30 years with an incredible amount of shame. I didn’t come forward because of that judgment and shame that I felt, and it’s a shame that you will never feel, George, and I’m not going to sit here on your show and be asked a question meant to shame me about another potential rape victim. I’m not going to do that.”

Stephanopoulos, who seemed to be prepared for Mace's tactic, pushed back, saying...

“It’s actually not about shaming you. You’ve endorsed Donald Trump for president. Donald Trump has been found liable for rape by a jury. Donald Trump has been found liable for defaming the victim of that rape by a jury. It’s been affirmed by a judge.”

A now visibly angry Mace replied...

“It’s not a criminal court case, number one. Number two, I live with shame, and you’re asking me a question about my political choices, trying to shame me as a rape victim, and I find it disgusting.”

It was then that Mace did the unthinkable and proceeded to "shame" E. Jean Carroll — the woman Trump was found guilty of raping!...

“Quite frankly, E. Jean Carroll’s comments when she did get the judgment, joking about what she was going to buy, it makes it harder for women to come forward when they make a mockery out of rape.
