Pastor Terry Jones Arrested As He Planned To Burn 2,998 Qurans

Everyone's favorite book burning Pastor, Terry Jones, was planning to burn 2,998 of the Muslim holy books today. The pastor claims each copy of the holy book represented every victim of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

I guess in Jones' mind this would even up the score because every year the people of Iraq symbolically burn in between 112,667–123,284 Bibles for every innocent civilian killed in the Iraqi war that was started under false pretenses by America's President at the time.

Wait… They don't do that? Oh never mind… Let us continue.

Either way Pastor Jones was arrested just as he drove a pickup truck towing a large barbecue style grill filled with kerosene-soaked Qurans to a park for ignition. It was just before what passed as festivities for Jones when Sheriff's deputies in Polk County, Fla., arrested Jones, 61, and his associate pastor, Marvin Sapp Jr., 44.

Both were booked into the Polk County jail for the felony of unlawful conveyance of fuel. Jones was additionally charged with unlawful open-carry of a firearm (a misdemeanor) and Sapp faces a charge of having no valid registration for the trailer.
"What, was I speedin' or something?"
As we all remember Jones is the pastor who gained attention in 2010 when he planned to burn a Quran on the anniversary of 9/11 before he eventually called it off.

Unfortunately his he and his congregation did burn the Muslim holy book in March 2011 and last year he promoted an anti-Muslim film.

Because he knows better Jones repeatedly ignores pleas from the U.S. military asking him not to stage his protests.

Unfortunately all three incidents sparked violence in the Middle East.

The most violent protest happened after the 2011 Quran burning as hundreds of protesters stormed a United Nations compound in Mazar-i-Sharif in northern Afghanistan, killing seven people.

"What a wonderful way to commemorate the lives lost on this day 12 year's ago" no one ever said.
