Fox News Celebrates Christmas With News Of Record Breaking Holiday Gun Sales!

Now remember to squeeze the trigger little drummer boy!

I may not be a Christian but I do know a few things about the Christian religion.

For example the figure celebrated in the Bible known as Jesus Christ would not want his name associated with celebratory reveling about record gun sales on his birthday... After all wasn’t he also known as the “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6) ?

Fox News, on the other hand, has decided to go with a different interpretation of the birth of Christ and has come to the conclusion that it’s all about record gun sales in America. They are overjoyed that in this festive holiday season Americans are pants crappingly terrified enough to put gun sales through the roof (watch out Santa). It’s the reason for the season don’t ya know!

So lets take a look at some of the Fox News' reports on the miracle of the saviors birth and  the miracle of record gun sales…

Dear Santa Bring Guns

Dear Santa Bring Guns.... ?!?!?! Really?
During a segment on Fox Business' Making Money with Charles Payne, an on-air graphic was displayed stating "Dear Santa: Bring Guns"

On the December 22 edition of his show, Charles Payne discussed increasing gun sales in the holiday season due to fears of terrorism and of Obama taking action to limit gun access. Payne invited Erick Erickson, a Fox contributor famed for being ridiculed on the internets for shooting a copy of The New York Times with an assault rifle.

During the segment, an on-air graphic appeared that said "Dear Santa: Bring Guns" and Payne quipped...

"Well, have you been naughty or have you been nice? Because this is the time of year when we're asking for Santa for a lot of things. Unfortunately, protection is at the top of the list this year. That's right, guns are topping so many Christmas lists, and as a result the sales are going through the roof now."

New York Times On Santa's "Naughty List"

Speaking of The New York Times, Fox & Friends did a segment in which they put the paper on Santa’s "Naughty List" for pushing an assault rifle ban after a mass shooting. They suggested during a Christmas Eve segment that Santa would be putting coal in The New York Times‘ stocking because its editors had called for gun safety laws following the recent mass shooting in San Bernardino.

After explaining that Republican presidential candidates Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry, Scott Walker, Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio and House Speaker Paul Ryan had all made the “Nice List” because... Republicans. Then Federalist editor Mollie Hemingway said that The New York Times had not been so lucky…

This year was particularly bad for the newspaper. After the recent terrorist attack in San Bernardino, they took to the front page and published an editorial that, rather than talking about terrorism or Islamist terrorism, they decided the problem was gun control. And while gun control advocates claim they just want sensible gun control, they actually called for confiscation of guns on the front page. This shows how extreme the gun control movement is.

"As peace on Earth is under threat, a piece in hand seems about right"
