NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARIES: Sanders And Trump Win Big, Clinton And Rubio Underperform

Last night voters in New Hampshire took to their voting booths to take part in the nations first primaries of the 2016 presidential race . The final results were that Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders, two self-styled outsider candidates, ran away with the win for their respective parties.

The consensus amongst the beltway analysts was that the big losers for the evening were Marco Rubio for the GOP and Hillary Clinton for the Dems, both of whom were riding a perceived momentum into last nights festivities. Both were expected to have better showings but fell far from the mark that they had set for themsevels and  those the political experts had in mind for them.

Here are the results...

The next important showdowns for these presidential wannabes will be  South Carolina and Nevada.

In South Carolina, Republicans are voting on Saturday, Feb. 20, and Democrats will be choosing their candidate Feb. 27 while Nevada kicks off its caucuses with Democrats voting on Feb. 20 and Republicans the following Tuesday, Feb. 23.
